Abstract

One development that must be considered in the growth of early childhood is motor development, namely fine and rough motor. The problem raised in this study is the lack of fine motor skills in children due to creativity in making learning media still very weak and conventional learning. The purpose of this study was to prove the increase in fine motor skills of early childhood through a colored plastic pulp collage medium. The selection of used materials for colored plastic powder is one way to utilize used material to be recycled and used as a new medium that is attractive to children in making collages to improve fine motor. This research was conducted using 2 cycles of classroom action research. The results showed an increase in fine motor skills of early childhood from undeveloped criteria, began to develop, developed according to expectations to develop very well at the stage of giving glue to the media, arranging colored plastic powder, and tidying the patterns that had been prepared

Abstract

The instructional impact of learning using an ethnoscience approach is often ignored, even though its contribution to students' creative thinking skills is very much needed. The research aims to analyze the direct contribution to students' creative thinking skills. Quasi-experimental research method with pre-test post-test control group design. Data collection used a standardized TTCT (Torrance Test Creative Thinking) question instrument. The analysis technique uses the MANOVA F test. The results show that learning with an ethnoscience approach can contribute to student's creative thinking skills based on the MANOVA f test that all components are significant (Sig. < 0.05). Learning with an ethnoscience approach significantly influences each indicator of Fluency, Flexibility, Originality, Elaboration, and Redefinition with a P-Value of 0.000. The largest contribution is the R-squared value of 0.568 for the experimental class and 0.561 for the control class in the Originality indicator. The coefficient of determination is based on the R2 value (0.568)2: 0.32 x 100%: 32% of learning using an ethnoscience approach to creative thinking skills. Students' ability to develop original thinking has more dominant results compared to other indicators of creative thinking skills. Recommendations for the importance of learning design that considers students' learning needs and cultural backgrounds. The ethnoscience approach can provide students with opportunities to think contextually in solving problems so that creative thinking skills are easier to improve.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the project based learning (PjBL) model in enhancing students' creative thinking skills. Utilizing a qualitative approach through the systematic literature review (SLR) method, the research examines the comparison of existing theories using previous research literature. The data collection process was conducted through systematic searches on electronic platforms mendeley and google scholar, focusing on scientific articles containing in-depth studies about project-based learning models. The literature sources used originated from various published research and academic studies. Systematic analysis results demonstrate that the implementation of the project based learning model has significant potential in developing students' creative thinking abilities. The research conclusion affirms that the project-based learning approach can effectively stimulate and improve students' creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Science generic skills are part of the 21st-century skills. This has triggered massive innovation in science generic skills research especially, in chemistry subjects including in Indonesia. These skills contribute to an individual's practical participation and success in the surrounding environment. This research aims to analyze by literature study the trend of science generic research in Indonesia based on articles published in national and international journals. This qualitative research used a content analysis approach with a systematic literature review technique to analyze the research trends of science generic skills in chemistry subjects in Indonesia. Based on the predetermined inclusion criteria, 26 articles were collected for analysis using the Paper Classification Form (PCF) instrument. The research findings show the dominance on the topic of science generic skills research strategies in chemistry subjects conducted on various issues showing that learning strategies as much as 37%, dominate the improvement of generic skills in chemistry subjects, followed by teaching materials at 22%, learning models 18%, learning instruments 11%, and on the topic of learning evaluation being a minor topic as much as 4%, where the dominant dependent variable is related to science generic skills in chemistry learning. Keywords: Science Generic Skills, Chemistry Learning, and Systematic Literature Review

Abstract

This research was motivated by the limited availability of teaching materials in the form of project-based learning (PjBL) student worksheets that integrate scientific concepts with daily life contexts. The purpose of this study was to develop PjBL-based student worksheets contextualized to everyday scientific phenomena for the topic of acid, base, and salt solutions at the junior high school/Islamic junior high school level. The study employed a research and development (R&D) design using the Plomp model. Both qualitative and quantitative data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The validation results indicated that the developed product was highly valid, with scores of 100% from language experts, 92% from subject matter experts, and 72% from teaching material experts, yielding an overall mean validity score of 88%. In terms of practicality, teachers rated the product as very practical with a score of 91%, while students evaluated it as very good with a score of 93%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the PjBL-based student worksheets with a scientific daily life context for the acid, base, and salt solutions lesson are valid, practical, and suitable for use in science learning at the junior high school/Islamic junior high school level.
