Abstract

Super native chickens are a cross between native chickens and laying hens, and utilizing moringa leaf meal is an alternative solution to reduce high ration costs. This study aims to determine the effect of providing factory-made rations with the addition of moringa leaf meal on the growth of super native chickens. The study was conducted from January 2026 to March 2026 using a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replications. Data analysis was carried out through analysis of feed consumption, daily body weight gain, feed conversion, and feed efficiency using analysis of variance in a completely randomized design (CRD). The results showed that the highest feed consumption variable was in the P1 treatment at 98.98 grams/head/day. Meanwhile, the highest average values for daily body weight gain, feed conversion, and feed efficiency were in the P0 treatment with the 100% Factory Ration + (without moringa leaf flour), with an average daily body weight gain of 367.63-405.56 grams/head/day, a feed conversion of 0.27-0.24 grams, and a feed efficiency of 374.27% to 412.29%.

Abstract

Super free-range chickens are a cross between free-range chickens and laying hens. The use of moringa leaf meal is an alternative solution to reduce high ration costs, and moringa leaves are rich in essential nutrients found in their leaves. This study aims to determine the effect of providing factory rations with the addition of moringa leaf meal on the carcass percentage of super free-range chickens. The study was conducted from January 2026 to March 2026 using a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replications. Data analysis was carried out through analysis of live weight, carcass weight, and carcass percentage using analysis of variance in a completely randomized design (CRD). The results showed that all research variables, such as live weight, carcass weight, and carcass percentage, had the highest average values in the P0 treatment with the 100% Factory Ration + (without moringa leaf flour), with an average live weight ranging from 1,506-1,594 grams per head, a carcass weight of 919-986 grams per head, and an average carcass percentage ranging from 60.40-61.99%.

Abstract

Super native chicken is a cross between native chicken and laying hen. Super native chicken requires nutritious feed to obtain optimal production results. This study aims to determine the effect of providing factory rations with the addition of papaya leaves and rice bran on income over feed cost (IOFC) in super native chicken. The study was conducted from January 2026 to March 2026 using a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replications. Data analysis was carried out through analysis of revenue, feed costs and income over feed cost (IOFC) using analysis of variance Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The results showed that all research variables such as revenue, feed costs and income over feed cost (IOFC) had the highest average value, namely in treatment P0 with Factory Ration 50% + (100% papaya leaves + 0% rice bran) with an average revenue value ranging from Rp. Rp. 28,406-Rp. 37,183, feed costs Rp. Rp. 690-2,669, and the average income over feed cost (IOFC) ranged from Rp26,734-Rp34,913.

Abstract

Mombaca grass is a type of forage plant with good nutritional composition and is widely used by livestock farmers in Indonesia. This study aimed to determine the effect of providing different types of livestock feces on the growth of mombaca grass. The study was conducted from January to March 2026 using a randomized block design with four treatments and four groups. Data analysis was performed using analysis of variance for plant height, leaf length, leaf width, stem diameter, and number of tillers. The results showed that the highest average values for all variables, such as plant height, ranged from 19.51 to 34.54 cm/2 weeks, leaf length from 15.86 to 21.77 cm/2 weeks, leaf width from 5.93 to 8.93 cm/2 weeks, stem diameter from 1.22 to 1.61 cm/2 weeks, and number of tillers from 197 to 2.42 cm/2 weeks.
