Abstract

Objective: Education is long life or all the time. Education in Indonesian is divided into several levels from elementary, secondary, to tertiary levels. In Indonesia, education is under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. College is a stage for someone who wants to earn a bachelor’s degree. However, some students who have entered the final semester still have not completed their studies. Of course, there are things behind the student. Procrastination is something that students experience. From this, procrastination becomes the focus of this research. Method: The research employs a quantitative method with an axial sampling technique. The population in this study is all students of private universities in Sidoarjo, and the analysis technique uses Pearson correlation. Results: The result of β = 0.473 variables of fear of missing out (X1) and β = 0.649 variables of quarter life crisis against procrastination were obtained, indicating a positive relationship between variables X1 and X2 to variable Y. Novelty: This research provides new insights by examining the influence of fear of missing out and quarter life crisis on procrastination among final semester students in private universities, a focus that has not been extensively explored in previous studies.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to examine the relationship between self-control and conformity with academic procrastination among students at private universities in Sidoarjo. Method: Utilizing a quantitative approach, the research involved 279 students selected from a population of 1,413 through non-probability sampling. Data were collected using validated instruments measuring academic procrastination, self-control, and conformity. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. Results: The findings reveal a significant influence of self-control and conformity on academic procrastination, with an R² value of 0.509. Self-control demonstrated a significant negative effect on academic procrastination (p = -0.024), indicating that higher self-control is associated with reduced procrastination. Conversely, conformity exhibited a significant positive effect (p = 0.000), suggesting that students with higher conformity levels tend to procrastinate more. Novelty: This study contributes to the limited literature by simultaneously analyzing the dual impact of internal (self-control) and external (conformity) psychological factors on academic procrastination in the context of Indonesian private university students, offering practical implications for developing effective behavioral interventions in higher education.     Ask ChatGPT

Abstract

Objective: Work stress is an adaptive response influenced by individual characteristics and psychological processes, which arises from external situations or actions that put certain psychological and physical pressure on individuals. In a corporate environment, employees are often faced with various job demands. Social support plays a significant role in reducing the negative impact of stressful work or excessive workload. This support can come from coworkers, superiors, family, close friends, or the surrounding environment. The greater the support received by employees, the lower the level of work stress they feel. Excessive workload is one of the causes of decreased employee performance. High production demands with limited work deadlines can create excessive work pressure, potentially reducing productivity. Method: This study uses a quantitative correlational method, which aims to analyze the relationship between two or more variables through statistical processing of numerical data. Results: The results of the multiple correlation test show that there is a significant relationship simultaneously between social support and workload with work stress. This is indicated by the F Change Significance value of 0.003 which is smaller than 0.05 (p < 0.05). The correlation value (R) of 0.480 indicates that the relationship between the two independent variables with work stress has a fairly close relationship. Novelty: Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between social support and work stress in employees of PT. X. High social support plays an important role in reducing work stress levels. Conversely, low social support has the potential to increase work stress. Workload also has a significant relationship with work stress, where high workload tends to increase physical, emotional, and social stress on employees.

Abstract

Objective: This scoping review aims to examine the relationship between teachers and special assistant teachers (GPK) in inclusive schools, focusing on the factors that influence this relationship to foster a positive learning environment for students with special needs. Method: A systematic search was conducted using keywords such as co-assistant teacher, teacher-student relationship, and inclusive education across electronic databases including Scopus, Proquest, Science Direct, and Taylor & Francis. Using the PRISMA flow diagram (2020) and new.rayyan.ai software, 324 articles were identified, with 10 meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria for full-text analysis. Results: The review revealed internal and external determinant factors influencing the relationship between teachers and special assistant teachers. Internal factors included teacher self-efficacy, attitudes towards inclusive education, communication styles, and willingness to understand students' special needs. External factors involved cultural and socioeconomic influences, work experience, emotional support, and professional development. Novelty: This study provides a comprehensive overview of the critical factors affecting teacher-GPK relationships, offering valuable insights for enhancing inclusive education practices and improving student outcomes in inclusive settings.
