Abstract

Di Desa Lape, khususnya Dusun Lape Atas telah terjadi penurunan daerah resapan air limbah rumah tangga yang disebabkan karena tofografi yang rendah. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan teknologi biopori di Dusun Lape Atas, Desa Lape, Kecamatan Lape, Kabupaten Sumbawa. Pembuatan lubang biopori berfungsi untuk meningkatkan daya serap air, mencegah banjir, meningkatkan kualitas air tanah, tempat pembuangan sampah organik, dan mengubah sampah organik menjadi kompos. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2019 yang diikuti oleh warga Dusun Lape atas, ketua RT/RW se Desa Lape, serta dosen pendamping yang telah memiliki keahlian dibidang biopori. Dalam kegiatan termasuk pendampingan dan monitoring. Hasilnya warga mengerti tentang manfaat dan pentingnya pembuatan lubang resapan biopori, terdapat 20 titik yang telah berhasil dibuat, limbah air rumah tangga, banjir ataupun genangan yang kerpa terjadi pada musim hujan dapat teratasi, dihasilkan kompos yang dimanfaatkan untuk pupuk tanaman, dan banyak warga yang secara mandiri membuat biopori di halaman rumahnya.

Abstract

H&S Machine Shop is a service company that handles the repair of motorcycle, diesel, and automobile engines. The implementation of administrative activities still applies a manual system ranging from notes, cash books, inventory of goods, to reports still carried out by handwriting.In addition to being inefficient because it increases the use of paper, in the process of recording and processing data there is often human error, inaccurate reports made, and delays in finding certain data when needed, so it requires more time and energy. Therefore, the right solution is needed to overcome these problems, namely by designing a computerized system. The data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and literature studies. The software development method used is the waterfall method. The result of this study is to help administrative work become more effective and efficient in supporting activities in the H & S Machine Workshop

Abstract

ABSTRACT The issue addressed in this research is the influence of task assignment methods on student learning motivation in the topic of Stoichiometry. Task assignment methods refer to a teaching strategy in which instructors provide tasks outside of class hours, aimed at developing students' independence in reading and understanding the concepts taught. The assignment of tasks is expected to impact students' learning motivation in comprehending Stoichiometry concepts. Student motivation has a significant effect on improving academic performance. This research investigates the influence of task assignment methods on student learning motivation in the context of Stoichiometry. This study is a quantitative experimental research. The sampling technique used in this study is random sampling, with a sample size of 17 students from the odd semester. Data collection was performed using questionnaires, test results, and documentation. Based on hypothesis testing using a paired sample t-test, the results indicated that there is an influence of the task assignment method on students’ learning motivation in the Stoichiometry topic. The independent sample t-test calculation showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, thus rejecting the null hypothesis (H₀), which means that there is a significant effect of the task assignment method on student learning motivation in Stoichiometry.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan model pembelajaran STAD (Student Teams Achievement Divisions) dalam meningkatkan literasi sains siswa kelas 4 SD terkait pemahaman konsep energi. Model STAD, yang menekankan kerja sama kelompok, diyakini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang sulit, seperti konsep energi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, melibatkan 22 siswa di SDN 1 Talaga. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis tugas individu siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model STAD dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran, memperkuat pemahaman mereka terhadap konsep energi, dan menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang kooperatif. Meskipun terdapat tantangan, seperti perbedaan kemampuan antara siswa dan keterbatasan waktu, penggunaan teknologi dan pengelolaan peran dalam kelompok dapat mengatasi hambatan tersebut. Umpan balik guru yang konstruktif juga berperan penting dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan motivasi siswa. Secara keseluruhan, penerapan model STAD efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi sains siswa di tingkat sekolah dasar, terutama dalam pembelajaran konsep-konsep ilmiah yang kompleks

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan model pembelajaran TSTS (Think-Talk-Write-Square) di SDN 4 Talaga Jaya untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran IPA, khususnya dalam memahami konsep-konsep ilmiah yang kompleks seperti energi. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, melibatkan observasi, wawancara, dan analisis tugas individu siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model TSTS dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran, mendorong interaksi positif dalam kelompok, dan memperdalam pemahaman siswa terhadap materi. Selain itu, penerapan model ini juga menghadapi beberapa tantangan, seperti pengelolaan waktu dan perbedaan tingkat pemahaman antar siswa. Solusi yang diterapkan, seperti pengelolaan dinamika kelompok dan penggunaan teknologi untuk mempercepat evaluasi, berhasil mengatasi tantangan tersebut. Peran umpan balik guru juga terbukti penting dalam memperbaiki pemahaman siswa dan meningkatkan motivasi mereka untuk berpartisipasi lebih aktif dalam pembelajaran. Secara keseluruhan, model TSTS menunjukkan potensi yang besar dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di pelajaran IPA

Abstract

One field of science that has been developing rapidly in recent decades is the field of bioinformatics. Advances in the rapidly growing field of information technology make it easier for someone to access and analyze information from several database sources that store biological data throughout the world via websites. Apart from that, the distribution of Bioinformatics Application programs via the internet can now help pupils, students, teachers, lecturers and researchers in solving biological problems by using various database sources and software for various needs, including learning needs. Community service activities in the form of training at SMAS Muhammadiyah Kupang were held on Saturday, May 18 2024. The methods used were presentation of material and training related to bioinformatics as well as pre-tests and post-tests to determine students' abilities.

Abstract

Tablolong Beach, Kupang, West Nusa Tenggara, has significant potential for sea cucumber aquaculture development. This study examines the environmental conditions, climatic factors, and local natural resources that support sea cucumber farming in this area. The results showed that Tablolong Beach has very suitable environmental characteristics for sea cucumber growth, including suitable water temperature and sufficient natural food availability. In addition, the local community has strong traditional knowledge on sea cucumber collection and cultivation. the purpose of this study was to determine the potential and types of sea cucumbers found around Tablolong beach. This research method is an experimental method where samples are taken by diving in the waters of Tablolong beach. Sea cucumber species found consisted of H. atra, H. leucospilota, H. fuscocinerea, and S. monoturbeculatus. This research provides an important basis for designing a sustainable sea cucumber aquaculture development plan in Tablolong Beach, integrating ecological, economic, and social aspects. By utilizing the natural potential and local knowledge, the development of sea cucumber aquaculture in this area can become a model for sustainable utilization of marine resources and support the livelihoods of coastal communities

Abstract

Pearl oysters (Pinctada maxima) are a high-value fishery commodity with significant development prospects, due to increasing demand and selling value in domestic and international markets. One of the challenges in pearl oyster cultivation is determining the optimal salinity to improve spat (seed) survival. This study aims to evaluate the effect of various salinity levels on the survival of Pinctada maxima spat and determine the optimal salinity. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with four salinity treatments: 35 ppt, 30 ppt, 25 ppt, and 20 ppt, each with three replicates. Results showed that the highest survival rate was found at 35 ppt (63%) and 30 ppt (23%) salinity, while the lowest survival rate was at 25 ppt (7%) and 20 ppt (1%) salinity. Salinity of 35 ppt gave the best results for survival and weight growth of pearl oyster spat, followed by salinity of 30 ppt. These findings have important implications for the development of more effective and efficient culture methods to improve pearl production and quality.
