Abstract

Penggunaan bahan bakar gas pada mesin parut kelapa merupakan salah satu upaya untuk memanfaatkan bahan bakar gas sebagai bahan bakar alternatif pada mesin parut kelapa berbahan bakar minyak. Bahan bakar gas yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) 3 kg. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang mesin parut kelapa berbahan bakar gas, dan menganalisis konsumsi bahan bakar gas, biaya bahan bakar gas serta kecepatan produksi parutan daging buah kelapa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode perancangan dan eksperimental. Eksperimen dilakukan untuk mengukur banyaknya bahan bakar gas yang dipakai, dan banyaknya produksi parutan daging buah kelapa. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah mesin parut kelapa berbahan bakar gas dengan dimensi ukuran panjang 560 mm, lebar 340 mm, tinggi 610 mm, konsumsi bahan bakar gas sebesar 0,136 kg/jam - 0,152 kg/jam, biaya bahan bakar gas yang dipakai sebesar Rp. 816,-/jam – Rp. 912,-/jam dan kecepatan produksi parutan daging buah kelapa sebesar 11,765 kg/jam - 12,647 kg/jam.

Abstract

The Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP) presents significant challenges in shipping route optimization and logistics management. These challenges include balancing vehicle capacity, minimizing travel distance, and efficiently grouping delivery points, all of which are crucial for enhancing operational efficiency and reducing costs. This research aims to apply a combination of the Sweep and Nearest Neighbor algorithms to address the CVRP, seeking to improve route efficiency and manage vehicle capacity effectively. The Sweep algorithm is employed to cluster pickup points based on their polar angle from the depot, facilitating efficient grouping and optimal vehicle capacity management. Within each cluster, the Nearest Neighbor algorithm is implemented to optimize the sequence of visits, minimizing total travel distance by sequentially selecting the next closest point. The Haversine Distance is used to calculate the distances between points, ensuring geographical accuracy compared to the Euclidean method. Experimental results demonstrate that this hybrid approach yields shorter routes. Quantitative analysis shows a significant reduction 13% in total travel distance when using this combination of algorithms, highlighting its effectiveness in solving the CVRP. This research demonstrates that combining the Sweep and Nearest Neighbor algorithms provides an efficient solution to the CVRP, improving route optimization and vehicle capacity management. The findings contribute valuable insights to logistics management, with practical implications for enhancing shipping route efficiency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas analisis penyebab kecelakaan kerja di tambang batu bara Sawahlunto dengan memanfaatkan metode Job Safety Analysis (JSA) dan Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). Pendekatan JSA dimanfaatkan untuk mendeteksi potensi risiko pada enam tahap aktivitas penting seperti pemasangan penyangga tambang dan pemeriksaan geologi, sedangkan FTA digunakan untuk memetakan hubungan sebab-akibat secara sistematis sehingga akar penyebab kecelakaan dapat teridentifikasi dengan jelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecelakaan kerja di tambang bukan hanya disebabkan oleh satu faktor, melainkan gabungan dari kegagalan teknis dan lemahnya aspek manajemen, seperti kegagalan struktur tambang, tidak berfungsinya sistem peringatan dini, serta kurangnya pengawasan K3 di lapangan. Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya penerapan pemantauan geoteknik secara berkala, pemasangan sensor tanah dan alarm peringatan, penerapan SOP yang konsisten, serta pelatihan keselamatan untuk pekerja tambang. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu menciptakan budaya keselamatan kerja yang baik serta mendukung upaya zero accident di sektor pertambangan. Penelitian ini juga diharapkan menjadi referensi dalam perbaikan sistem K3 dan mendukung transformasi pertambangan berbasis teknologi untuk meminimalkan risiko kecelakaan secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to explore the challenges faced by managerial level career women in managing time between work and domestic obligations. The method used was Focus Group Discussion (FGD) involving 25 female participants who served as general managers, middle managers, and HRD practitioners from domestic and multinational companies in the Ngoro Industrial Park (NIP) industrial area, Mojokerto. The discussion was directed at identifying constraints in time management, strategies for dealing with multiple roles, and formulating policy recommendations that support work-life balance. The results of the discussion showed that participants faced high mental stress due to long working hours, social expectations as wives/mothers, and lack of institutional support. These findings reinforce the results of previous studies on mental burden, role inequality, and the dominant masculine work culture. The resulting recommendations include the development of flexible work policies, equal division of labor, gender-sensitive internal mentoring, and institutional support such as counseling and childcare services. This activity is expected to encourage the development of more gender-responsive company policies and strengthen the sustainability of women's leadership roles in the industrial sector.

Abstract

The manufacturing sector in Indonesia plays a vital role in the economy, and one of the critical aspects of enhancing productivity is minimizing machine downtime. PT. Sinar Indo Green Kencana (SIGK) is a building materials manufacturing company facing challenges in the efficiency of its mixer machine, with an Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) value of only 77.5%. This study utilizes Internet of Things (IoT) technology to monitor machine conditions in real-time and assess machine effectiveness using the OEE method. The research aims to identify the primary causes of downtime and develop predictive maintenance strategies to reduce losses due to machine failures. The findings reveal that high downtime is caused by unexpected breakdowns, lengthy setup times, and a lack of real-time monitoring. Therefore, using IoT to monitor downtime and OEE is crucial for improving machine efficiency and maintaining product quality. The research provides improvement recommendations that can be applied to enhance production effectiveness and minimize losses due to machine downtime.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan jumlah lansia menuntut strategi multidisiplin untuk menjaga kualitas hidup, salah satunya melalui penerapan prinsip ergonomi. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Meri, Kota Mojokerto, dengan melibatkan 48 peserta dari komunitas “Sekolah Lansia Tangguh (Selantang)”. Metode yang digunakan berupa edukasi partisipatif melalui seminar, diskusi interaktif, praktik langsung, dan pendampingan penggunaan alat bantu sederhana. Kegiatan ini berbeda dengan program lansia umumnya karena mengintegrasikan prinsip ergonomi adaptif dengan praktik langsung dan simulasi alat bantu, sehingga lebih efektif dalam mendorong kemandirian serta pencegahan risiko cedera. Hasil pre–post test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan ergonomis, termasuk teknik duduk, berdiri, dan mengangkat dengan benar, serta kesediaan menggunakan alat bantu. Evaluasi pasca kegiatan memperlihatkan berkurangnya keluhan fisik dan meningkatnya kemandirian peserta. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa edukasi ergonomi berbasis komunitas dapat menjadi langkah preventif yang efektif untuk mengurangi risiko cedera, sekaligus mendukung lansia hidup lebih sehat, aman, dan produktif.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the sales performance of two e-commerce platforms, Shopee and TikTok Shop, using sales data from Flora Store, a home-based perfume business located in Lamongan, East Java. In the face of increasingly fierce competition between digital markets, businesses such as Flora Store are utilising online platforms to reach a wider consumer base and increase sales. Sales data from April 2024 to March 2025 were analysed using Tableau software. The results of the analysis show that Shopee occupies the cash cow position due to its stable and dominant sales performance, while TikTok Shop is in the question mark position, as it has high growth rates but unstable sales. This study provides a strategic overview of the use of digital platforms in developing home industries and suggests the need for a more aggressive content marketing approach.

Abstract

This study examines how employees in manufacturing and service firms interpret Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainable Development in their organizational context. The study is motivated by the continuing debate on whether CSR and Sustainable Development are understood as identical, different, or overlapping concepts in business practice. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 11 employees working in manufacturing, service, and construction-related service contexts in East Java, Indonesia. The data were analyzed using descriptive thematic analysis, including data reduction, coding, categorization, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that employees interpret CSR and Sustainable Development in different ways. Some employees understand CSR mainly as charity or social donation. Others interpret CSR as part of Sustainable Development, especially when company programs are related to environmental preservation, education, health, and community empowerment. The study also finds that internal communication and employee involvement play important roles in shaping employees’ understanding of the relationship between CSR and Sustainable Development. These findings imply that companies need not only to implement CSR programs, but also to communicate them clearly and align them with long-term sustainability objectives so that employees can understand and support them as internal stakeholders.

Abstract

Struktur organisasi merupakan elemen penting dalam mendukung efektivitas sistem kerja karena berperan dalam mengatur pembagian tugas, hubungan kewenangan, koordinasi, dan mekanisme komunikasi dalam organisasi. Struktur organisasi yang kurang efektif dapat menyebabkan ketidakjelasan peran, hambatan koordinasi, serta rendahnya efisiensi operasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas struktur organisasi Pada industri pupuk berdasarkan persepsi karyawan dalam perspektif ergonomi makro. Pendekatan ergonomi makro digunakan untuk memahami organisasi sebagai suatu sistem sosioteknik yang melibatkan keterkaitan antara manusia, struktur, teknologi, tugas, dan lingkungan kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner tertutup menggunakan skala Likert lima tingkat. Sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 42 karyawan. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif melalui nilai rata-rata, standar deviasi, serta pengujian validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh item pernyataan dinyatakan valid dengan nilai signifikansi <0,05 dan instrumen memiliki tingkat reliabilitas yang baik dengan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,733. Persepsi karyawan terhadap struktur organisasi memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 4,45 yang termasuk kategori sangat baik. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa struktur organisasi telah mendukung koordinasi, pengambilan keputusan, dan pencapaian target kerja, meskipun masih terdapat peluang perbaikan pada aspek fleksibilitas dan komunikasi antar departemen. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa struktur organisasi pada industri pupuk telah berjalan efektif dalam mendukung sistem kerja, namun diperlukan penguatan fleksibilitas organisasi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan adaptasi terhadap kondisi operasional yang dinamis.
