Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia has a grand vision to realize the Golden Generation 2045, a generation excelling in intellect, skills, and character by the centennial celebration of its independence. However, globalization and technological advancements in the Society 5.0 era have triggered character degradation, posing a significant challenge. This study aims to analyze the main challenges, the impacts of character degradation, and formulate strategies to build a generation with strong character. A qualitative descriptive-analytical research method was employed, collecting primary data through observations, and secondary data from literature studies. The results indicate that key factors driving character degradation include the influence of foreign cultures, technology misuse, and individualism due to digitalization. The impacts manifest in declining religiosity, nationalism, and rising consumerism and hoaxes. Proposed strategies involve integrating Pancasila-based character education into curricula, optimizing the roles of families and communities, leveraging technology positively, and strengthening digital literacy and local cultural awareness. In conclusion, holistic efforts through collaboration among formal education, family environments, and national value-based policies are essential to nurture a globally competitive generation while preserving cultural identity.

Abstract

As the foundation and official ideology of the Indonesian state, Pancasila plays a crucial role in guiding the management of national affairs and the overall conduct of state life. The core principles of Pancasila divinity, humanism, unity, democracy, and social justice reflect the character, identity, and collective values of the diverse Indonesian people. The purpose of this study is to examine in depth the function of Pancasila as a state ideology and the significance of implementing its principles in contemporary and evolving society. Through the exploration and analysis of various scholarly sources, including books, academic journals, and official state documents, this research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method. The findings indicate that Pancasila functions not only as the nation’s way of life but also as the philosophical foundation of the state and a unifying ideology within Indonesia’s heterogeneous society. Furthermore, the preservation of national identity, the strengthening of social cohesion and peace, and the ability to face the challenges of industrialization and globalization are highly dependent on the successful internalization of Pancasila’s values. Therefore, to achieve sustainable and inclusive national development, consistent and continuous efforts are required to enhance understanding, appreciation, and implementation of Pancasila’s values across all levels of society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of CO₂ emissions, energy consumption, and exports on economic growth in Indonesia in both the short run and long run. The data used are annual time series data for the period 2004–2024 sourced from the World Bank and Our World in Data. The analytical method employed is the Error Correction Model (ECM) to capture the dynamic relationship between variables in the short run and long run. The short-run estimation results indicate that CO₂ emissions have a negative and significant effect on economic growth, while energy consumption and exports have a positive and significant effect on Indonesia's economic growth. Simultaneously, all three variables significantly affect economic growth in the short run with an R-squared value of 88.58 percent. The long-run results show that CO₂ emissions have a negative and significant effect, while energy consumption and exports have a positive and significant effect. The ECT coefficient of -1.221 confirms the existence of an error correction mechanism toward long-run equilibrium. This study concludes that controlling carbon emissions, optimizing clean energy consumption, and strengthening export competitiveness are policies that need to be integrated to promote sustainable economic growth in Indonesia.

Abstract

In recent years, Indonesia’s economic growth has continued to increase, however disparities in growth among provinces remain, reflecting the uneven distribution of economic development. On the other hand, the development of information and communication technology, internet usage, and electronic money varies across provinces and therefore has the potential to influence economic growth. This study aims to analyze the effect of the information and communication technology development index (ICT-DI), internet user rate, and electronic money on economic growth in Indonesia. This research employs a quantitative approach using panel data, which combines time series data from 2020-2024 and cross-sectional data from 34 provinces in Indonesia. The analysis was conducted using panel data regression, with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) identified as the most appropriate model. The results indicate that, partially, the ICT Development Index has a positive and significant effect on economic growth, with a probability value of 0.0087. The internet user rate has a negative and insignificant effect, with a probability value of 0.9508. Meanwhile, electronic money has a positive and significant effect on economic growth, with a probability value of 0.0045. Simultaneously, the three variables have a significant effect on economic growth, as indicated by the F-statistic probability value of 0.000000. The Adjusted R-squared value of 0.527645 shows that 52.76 percent of the variation in economic growth can be explained by the variables included in this study.
