Abstract

This research aims to develop comic media assisted by powerpoint on the material of Indonesiaku Kaya Budaya, the topic of cultural wealth that is suitable for use in the learning process in grade IV of elementary school. This research is a type of development research using the ADDIE development model up to the evaluation stage. The instrument data is a questionnaire or questionnaire given to several material expert validators, language expert validators, media expert validators, and teacher response validators. Based on the validation results from the material expert validator, a score of 76 was obtained with the criteria of "Good". From the validation results of the language expert, a score of 80 was obtained with the criteria of "Good". From the validation results of the media expert, a score of 95 was obtained with the criteria of "Very Good". From the validation results of the teacher's response, a score of 97 was obtained with the criteria of "Very Good". The average assessment score from the four expert validators obtained a score of 87. According to the assessment score criteria, it can be said that the comic media assisted by powerpoint on the learning of social studies material of Indonesiaku kaya budaya, the topic of Indonesian cultural wealth that was developed is "Very Suitable" for use in the learning process.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini dilakukan karena banyaknya pencemaran yang terjadi di Sungai Sei Mencirim Binjai. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan kesehatan masyarakat di sekitar sungai Sei Mencirim sangat terganggu karena kualitas air menunjukkan kondisi yang tercemar. Jenis pengabdian ini termasuk dalam studi kasus. Lokasi pengabdian dilakukan di Sungai Sei Mencirim pada bulan September dan Oktober 2024. Populasi pengabdian adalah aliran sungai yang mengalir melalui Sungai Sei Mencirim Binjai, sedangkan sampel pengabdian adalah sampel air sungai di sepanjang Sungai Sei Mencirim Binjai dengan cara mengambil tiga sampel pada setiap plot dengan jarak antar plot masing-masing tiga ratus meter dan koordinatnya ditentukan dengan menggunakan Koordinat GPS. Hasil pengujian parameter kualitas air sungai Sei Mencirim menyatakan bahwa parameter TSS, BOD, COD, total fosfat sebagai P, E colli dan fecal coliform telah melebihi standar baku mutu air yang disepakati dalam Peraturan Pemerintah Republik Indonesia Nomor 82 Tahun 2001. Hasil status mutu air Sungai Sei Mencirim Binjai dikarakterisasi memakai metode Indeks Pencemaran yaitu sesuai dengan batas baku mutu air termasuk dalam kategori tercemar sedang. E. Coli dan Fecal Coliform sangat tinggi. Sisi ini dapat terjadi sebab pada air sungai terindikasi telah terjadi pencemaran tinja manusia atau hewan pada air tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors of students' learning difficulties in learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) on the material of human respiratory organs in class V of SD Negeri 106815 Marindal in the 2024-2025 academic year. Learning difficulties experienced by students can be caused by internal factors, such as health conditions, cognitive abilities, and motivation, as well as external factors, including teaching methods and environmental support. The methodology used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research participants consisted of 28 students, 1 teacher, and 5 parents of students. The results showed that most students had difficulty understanding the scientific terms and concepts taught, which resulted in low learning outcomes. Monotonous teaching methods and the lack of use of interesting learning media also contributed to low student motivation and interest in learning. In addition, support from parents and a non-conducive learning environment also worsened this condition. This study recommends the need for improvements in teaching methods and increased support from parents to create a more effective learning environment, so that students can understand the material better and improve their academic achievement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: 1). produce AR-based E-Modules in science lessons on the material of the structure of the earth's layers. 2). To determine the feasibility of AR-based E-Modules in science lessons on the material of the structure of the earth's layers. 3). To determine the response of teachers and students after the application of AR-based E-Modules in science lessons on the material of the structure of the earth's layers. The method used in this study is the Research and Development (R&D) development method using the 4D model through four stages including: Define, Design, Develop, Dissenimate. The results obtained from several relevant expert validators, namely, module experts get a feasibility score of 97.5%, material experts get a feasibility score of 86%, teacher responses get a feasibility score of 100%, and student responses get a feasibility score of 96.5%. Thus, the AR-based E-Modules in science lessons on the material "Structure of the Earth's Layers" in grade V Elementary School are very feasible to use in the learning process.
