Abstract

bstract The factors that affect students' ability to read narrative text are motivation, teacher quality, infrastructure, teaching and teaching materials methods that use narrative text reading strategies. Class VIII students of SMP Negeri 7 Padangsidimpuan have low understanding in reading narrative text. This study aims to see the effect of using pictorial stories on students' ability to read narrative texts in class VIII of SMP Negeri 7 Padangsidimpuan. This research uses quantitative methods. Based on the results of the test analysis, it was found that the average number of students' ability to read narrative text before using the story was 79.5 and it was included in the "Good" category. The students' ability in reading narrative text after using the story was 82.75 and it was included in the "Very Good" category. After calculating and analyzing the data with the T-test, it was found that the T-observation was 2.518 and the t-table was 1.684 with a significant level of 5% (0.05). T observation is higher than T table (T0> Tt) (2.518> 1.684). This shows that there is a significant effect of the use of picture stories on the ability to read narrative text of students in class VIII SMP N 7 Padangsidimpuan. Abstract

This research was conducted to study how teachers manage the classroom and its impact on the learning process. This research uses qualitative methods, which collect descriptive data in the form of written and spoken words from observations of teacher and student behavior in the classroom. The researcher used purposive sampling technique to obtain the required information. The research subjects were fififth-grade teachers and supporting subjects are students and school principals. The research results show that teachers at MI Terpadu Almadinah have good abilities in managing class V, especially in applying class management principles such as creating a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere, providing challenging and varied material, flexible cooling, emphasizing positive things, and foster self-discipline in students. Teachers are also able to design a positive learning process and physical classroom environment. However, there are still obstacles in using media methods and classroom equipment.

Abstract

This study aimed to produce learning media through Macromedia Flash software program to improve the ability to listen to incentives on fantasy story material in class VII SMP Negeri 4 Central Maluku. The subjects of this study were the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Central Maluku, totaling 28 people. This study used a development method adapted from the Borg and Gall development model. The resulting media consists of three parts, namely the opening (covering SK, KD, and instructions for using media), content (covering material menus, exercises, and quizzes), and closing (covering motivational videos and author biodata). The macromedia flash learning media was tested on (1) learning media experts and (2) material experts, (3) practitioners, and (4) students. The instruments used in this research are material expert questionnaires, media expert questionnaires, practitioner and student response questionnaires, and intensive listening indicator instruments. The method used in data collection is observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The stages carried out in this research include: (1) Design stage, making media using Macromedia Flash application with the help of Ms. Power Point, and (2) design validation, (3) product revision, and (4) product testing on students of SMP Negeri 4 Maluku Tengah in grade VII. Based on the test results obtained from the expert test questionnaire, it shows that macromedia flash is feasible and ready to be implemented.

Abstract

Plagiarism is taking the idea of someone else's essay or writing then as if making the work as his own work. Seeing the many cases of plagiarism committed against scientific papers, it is necessary to analyze the use of turnitin software in examining quotations taken from other people's written works. The purpose of this study was to analyze the use of Turnitin software in reducing plagiarism at Medan State University. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data collection conducted in this study was through interviews and documentation studies. The results of software usage data showed a significant decrease in the similarity index of student writing. In the similiarities index percentage of 1% - 24%, data entered in the Turnitin software shows the number of scientific papers is increasing compared to the similarties index of 50% - 74%. The same thing happens with the similiraties index of 25% - 49%, the number of scientific papers entered in the software is greater than 50% - 74%. The use of Turnitin software is also effective in reducing plagiarism of scientific papers because the achievement indicators consist of clarity on the goals achieved and strategies in achieving the goals in their implementation are clearly visible; facilities and infrastructure already have standards in services carried out for plagiarism tests; The implementation of plagiarism test services that have been carried out has effectiveness and efficiency in its implementation; surveillance system and Controls that have been implemented well, as well as human resources, namely librarian staff and plagiarism detection teams, understand the use of the Turnitin device application in serving plagiarism tests.

Abstract

This study describes how code mixing and the causes of code mixing in lecture activities at the Islamic Broadcasting Communication Study Program (KPI), Islamic Counseling Guidance Study Program (BKI) & Islamic Philosophy Akidah (AFI) at IAIN Ambon. The research uses descriptive techniques. The research data used is the language between students in the Indonesian language learning process. The research data is in the form of speech between students during the Indonesian language learning process in the classroom which contains elements of code mixing. The research data collection step begins with identifying, classifying, analyzing and concluding the findings. The results of this study indicate that the form of code mixing is in the form of words, phrases, and sentences while the triggers of code mixing in the learning process aim to provide information, explain, confirm, and to know while the factors that influence code mixing, namely the environment, everyday language , peers and topics of conversation.

Abstract

Abstract This article deal with error analysis on the students’ pronunciation of affricates sounds. The method of research applied was descriptive quantitative method. It was applied to find and to analyze error analysis on the students’ pronunciation of affricates sounds. The population of this research was the first year students of SMA NEGERI 10 MEDAN at Jl.Tilak Medan. There were 47 students in parallel classes and all of them were taken as the sample. The instrument of the research was administrated test. The test was teacher made test. There were 20 items were given to the students. The test results were analyzed by finding out the percentages of students’ error in pronunciation affricates sounds. The total correct answer of the test were 437 or 9,340% and incorrect answer were 407 or 8,659 % .There were 3 causes of errors analysis on the students’ pronunciation of affricates sounds, they were intralingual, interlingual, and carelessness.There were 44 or 10, 09% for intralingual errors, 98 or 22,47% for interlingual errors and 295 or 67,50 % for carelessness errors. Keywords:Affricates, Eror,Causes. Abstrak Artikel ini membahas analisis kesalahan pelafalan bunyi afrikat pada siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Itu diterapkan untuk menemukan dan menganalisis analisis kesalahan pada pelafalan bunyi afrikat siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa tahun pertama SMA Negeri 10 Medan di jalan.Tilak Medan yang terdiri dari 47 siswa di kelas paralel dan semuanya diambil sebagai sampel. Instrumen penelitian adalah tes administrasi. Tes adalah tes yang dibuat guru. Ada 20 item yang diberikan kepada siswa. Kemudian jawaban dianalisis dengan mencari tahu persentase kesalahan siswa dalam pelafalan melafalkan bunyi untuk menunjukkan bahwa total jawaban yang benar dari tes adalah 437 atau persentase 9,340% dan jawaban yang salah adalah 407 atau persentase 8,659% ada 3 penyebab analisis kesalahan pada pengucapan bunyi afrikat siswa, itu adalah intralingual, interlingual, dan kecerobohan. Untuk kesalahan intralingual adalah 44 atau 10, 09%, untuk kesalahan interlingual adalah 98 atau 22,47% dan untuk kesalahan kecerobohan adalah 295 atau 67,50%. Kata Kunci: Afrikat, Kesalahan, Penyebab.

Keywords: Picture Story, Students’ Ability, Narrative Text Abstrak Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan siswa dalam membaca teks naratif adalah motivasi, kualitas guru, sarana prasarana, metode bahan ajar mengajar dan mengajar yang menggunakan strategi membaca teks naratif. Siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Padangsidimpuan memiliki pemahaman yang rendah dalam membaca teks naratif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Penggunaan Cerita Bergambar terhadap Kemampuan Siswa dalam Membaca Teks Naratif di Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Padangsidimpuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tes, diperoleh jumlah mean dari kemampuan siswa dalam membaca teks narratif sebelum menggunakan cerita gambar adalah 79,5 dan termasuk dalam kategori “Baik”. Kemampuan siswa dalam membaca teks narrative setelah menggunakan cerita gambar adalah 82,75dan termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Baik”. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan dan analisis data dengan T-test, ditemukan bahwa T- observasi adalah 2,518 dan t tabel adalah 1,684 dengan tingkat signifikan 5 % (0,05). T observasi lebih tinggi dari T tabel ( T0 > Tt ) (2,518 > 1,684). Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa Ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan cerita bergambar terhadap kemampuan membaca teks naratif siswa di kelas VIII SMP N 7 Padangsidimpuan. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the difference and similarity of the English and the Ambonese personal pronouns based on those standard grammatical literary sources. Type of research descriptive qualitative research. The data were collected using observation, interview and recording of native speaker speech. The finding showed that the form of personal pronouns in English and Ambonese languages have variation based on gender. In English, variations in the use of personal pronouns based on gender are found in the use of third singular person he and she. Whereas in Ambonese language, variations in the use of personal pronoun by gender are found in the use of second singular person, abang, caca, bu and usi. The differences between English and Ambonese in their function as subjective and objective pronoun are English personal pronoun is more varied than Ambonese personal pronoun because almost all of English personal pronoun is different according to the function except you and it. Unlike the English personal pronoun, all Ambonese personal pronouns are the same between subjective and objective pronoun. Ambonese personal pronoun is also based on considerations of gender, age and politeness distinction. The similarities between English and Ambonese personal pronoun is based on considerations of gender.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) terhadap pemahaman konsep tentang struktur dan fungsi sel pada siswa kelas XI IPA di SMA N 4 Buru. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif dan melibatkan 27 siswa sebagai peserta. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model POE secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang materi tersebut, dengan hubungan yang cukup kuat (korelasi 0,632) dan tingkat keberhasilan belajar mencapai 85%. Selain itu, respon siswa terhadap model ini sangat positif, mereka menunjukkan minat dan keterlibatan aktif selama proses belajar. Temuan ini menyarankan bahwa model POE merupakan strategi yang efektif untuk membantu siswa memahami konsep biologi, khususnya tentang struktur dan fungsi sel.
