This study aims to delve into the prevalence of single candidates participating in regional elections across various regions following the Constitutional Court Decision Number 100/PUU-XIII/2015. It explores how political party elites and oligarchs strategically maneuver to either maintain or acquire power. Specifically focusing on Boyolali Regency, this research employs a qualitative descriptive approach to uncover the underlying causes behind the emergence of a single candidate. The findings reveal the significant influence of hegemonic forces wielded by major political parties over smaller ones, orchestrated by oligarchs. Importantly, the study highlights that this hegemonic dominance is not driven by factors such as religious majority affiliations with political parties but rather emerges as a purely oligarchic endeavor aimed at controlling both the nomination process and victory outcomes of single candidates.

In the rapid development of the digital era, technology is an important part of teenagers' lives. One of the results of the development of the digital era is social media, Tiktok. Teenagers' tendency to Tiktok can have various impacts felt by teenagers. This study aimed to determine the impact of using Tiktok for teenagers and how Tiktok could change the social behavior of teenagers in Dukuh Beji, Sidomulyo Village, Ampel District, Boyolali Regency, using the theory of social change, and uses and effect. The type of research was descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques: observation, interviews, documentation study. The results of the study that (1) Teenagers got addiction and tendency to the Tiktok application. Teenagers used Tiktok to find information, but mostly used it to find entertainment. (2) Tiktok had a significant impact on teenagers. There were negative and positive impacts felt by teenagers. (3) Teenagers experience changed in social behavior due to the use of Tiktok such as lazy behavior, lifestyle changes, decreased ethics and manners when speaking, and lack of social participation. The implication of this research is to provide an explanation of the transformation of adolescent social behavior by using social media, especially Tiktok.

This study aims to analyze the impact of Instagram usage on the social interactions of Universitas Boyolali students, highlighting the phenomenon of phubbing and its effects on the quality of face-to-face communication and social satisfaction levels. Phubbing refers to the behavior of ignoring direct interactions in favor of focusing on mobile phone usage, a phenomenon increasingly common among active social media users, especially Instagram users, within the student demographic. The research adopts John C. Creswell's descriptive qualitative approach and utilizes Miles and Huberman's data analysis techniques. In-depth interviews were conducted with several Universitas Boyolali students who regularly use social media, particularly the Instagram app. The findings reveal that excessive Instagram usage can disrupt the quality of direct social interactions. Most respondents acknowledged that their attention is often diverted by notifications and entertainment features on Instagram, leading to a decline in face-to-face communication quality. Furthermore, the phenomenon of phubbing has the potential to damage interpersonal relationships, with respondents emphasizing the importance of time management in Instagram usage. This study also highlights the importance of self-awareness in managing social media usage to maintain the quality of social relationships and direct communication. The findings contribute to understanding the impact of social media on student social interactions and offer insights for individuals and educational institutions to manage the negative effects of excessive social media use.

Fenomena generasi sandwich semakin menonjol, memainkan banyak peran dalam menghidupi diri sendiri dan keluarga. Novel “Home Sweet Loan” menyajikan potret relevan dan mendalam tentang realitas dinamika keluarga sandwich dalam konteks masyarakat urban Indonesia melalui karakter Kaluna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi komunikasi yang digunakan Kaluna dalam menghadapi tantangan komunikasi lintas generasi sebagai generasi sandwich. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis naratif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara simak dan catat. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi dialog, narasi, dan tindakan karakter Kaluna. Hasil penelitian ini direpresentasikan dalam jenis-jenis strategi komunikasi menurut para ahli dan diklasifikasikan sesuai nilai yang terkandung, seperti: 1) Komunikasi interpersonal; 2) Komunikasi asertif; serta; 3) Penarikan diri. Hasil penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pemahaman antar-generasi dalam keluarga sandwich serta perlunya pendekatan komunikasi yang beragam untuk menciptakan keharmonisan keluarga.

Politics in Boyolali Regency is controlled by the PDI-P with control of 35 seats for DPRD members in parliament, followed by the Golkar Party with 4 chairs, PKS with 3 chairs, PKB with 2 chairs and the Gerindra Party with 1 seat. With the majority of the number of DPRD members in parliament, PDI P rallied with all parties that won seats in parliament to nominate the incumbent as the sole regent candidate, except for the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) which was neutral. Although only one pair of candidates participated, and it was carried out during the Covid-19 outbreak, the voter turnout rate in Boyolali was very high. This researcher will see, if the high participation is due to the success of political communication between the candidates and the KPU or whether there is a mass mobilization movement from the candidate for regent. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of the election of a single candidate against an empty box are unattractive because there is no competition or power struggle. Even though it wasn't interesting, people still came to the polling station due to massive socialization from the Boyolali KPU.

Generasi Z (lahir 1997-2012) tumbuh di tengah kemajuan digital dan sangat akrab dengan media sosial, Meskipun media sosial memiliki efek positif, efek negatifnya adalah potensi kecanduan yang memicu masalah kesehatan mental. Remaja di Dukuh Beji, Boyolali, menggunakan TikTok dengan intensitas tinggi yang dapat menyebabkan kecanduan, membuat mereka lebih banyak menghabiskan waktu dengan gawai daripada aktivitas sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh motivasi penggunaan media sosial TikTok terhadap kesehatan mental Generasi Z di Boyolali dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang mengukur durasi penggunaan TikTok, motivasi penggunan, dan dampak terhadap kesehatan mental. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dengan uji validitas data yang valid, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,676 > 0,05. Uji reliabilitas menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel (X dan Y) adalah reliabel, karena nilai Cronbach’s Alpha untuk variabel X adalah 0,928 > 0,70 dan untuk variabel Y adalah 0,929 > 0,70. Uji normalitas menggunakan metode Kolmogorov-Smirnov menunjukkan bahwa residual terdistribusi secara normal, dengan nilai Asymp. Sig. 0,676 > 0,05. Uji multikolinearitas menunjukkan tidak adanya gejala multikolinearitas, karena semua variabel memiliki nilai VIF < 10 dan tolerance > 0,10. Uji heteroskedastisitas menggunakan Uji Glejser menunjukkan tidak terjadi gejala heteroskedastisitas, dengan nilai sig. 0,348 > 0,05. Hasil analisis regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara variabel independen (X) dan variabel dependen (Y), dengan persamaan regresi Y = 37,494 + 0,495X + e. Setiap peningkatan satu unit pada X akan meningkatkan Y sebesar 0,495. Uji t menunjukkan bahwa variabel independen (X) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel dependen (Y), dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Koefisien determinasi (R Square) adalah 0,281, atau dalam persentase, Adjusted R Square adalah 27,4%. Ini berarti variabel independen (X) memiliki kontribusi sebesar 27,4% dalam menjelaskan variasi pada variabel dependen (Y). TikTok memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap kesehatan mental Generasi Z di Boyolali, baik positif maupun negatif.

Stunting is a condition in which a child's growth and development are impaired, resulting in a delay in physical and mental growth. We can observe characteristics in its physical condition that differ from those of children in general. The problem of stunting is not only the government's responsibility but also a problem that must be solved together, as it can affect the nation's and state's quality. The efforts we have made to help the government reduce stunting rates include community service programs and the use of YouTube as a Medium for Disseminating Health Information, especially related to stunting. Community service activity was carried out in Kalijirak Village, Tasikmadu District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java, by providing training to 28 Posyandu cadres. Cases of stunting in children under the age of five (Toddlers) in the village were said to be still relatively high but not triggered by malnutrition. The number of mothers who marry early was said to be one of the causes, so it affected the level of health knowledge and parenting patterns for children. Efforts to increase health knowledge, particularly regarding the prevention of stunting, have been undertaken by the government through conventional methods, such as face-to-face communication. The number of health officers was reportedly disproportionate to the wide coverage area. Therefore, YouTube can be utilized as a medium to help disseminate health information, particularly in increasing the local community's Knowledge to reduce stunting cases. The training results indicated that the community had successfully produced and disseminated health information via YouTube as part of an effort to reduce and prevent cases of stunting.
