Abstract

AbstractOverexcitability is a special  characteristic of gifted which lead to a higher level of development. Overexcitability not only has a positive effect, but aslo has a negative effect. The variations in the level and form of overexcitability possessed by gifted raises the question of whether the main attributes of giftedness, namely intelligence and creativity, are predictors of overexcitability itself. This research was conducted to examine the effect of intelligence and creativity on overexcitability. Sample of this study includes 173 students of SMAN 2 Tangerang Selatan. Overexcitability measured by Overexcitability Questionnaire II (OEQ II). OEQ II was adapted based on Indonesian culture. Intellegence measured by Culture Fair Intellegence Test (CFIT). Creativity measured by Tes Kreativitas Figural (TKF). The results of this study indicate that intelligence and creativity together significantly affect overexcitability by 7.9%. However, dimensional analysis show that intelligence and creativity significantly affects sensual, intellectual, and imaginational overexcitability. AbstrakOverexcitability merupakan karakteristik khusus dari anak berbakat yang mengarahkan pada level perkembangan tertinggi. Selain berpengaruh positif, Overexcitability juga bisa berpengaruh negatif. Adanya variasi dari level dan bentuk overexcitability yang dimiliki oleh anak berbakat menimbulkan pertanyaan apakah atribut utama dari keberbakatan, yakni kecerdasan dan kreativitas, yang menjadi prediktor dari overexcitability. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji signifikansi pengaruh kecerdasan dan kreativitas terhadap overexcitability. Sampel yang dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini adalah 173 siswa kelas X SMAN 2 Tangerang Selatan. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur overexcitability adalah Overexcitability Questionnaire II (OEQ II) yang telah diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia dan diadaptasi berdasarkan budaya Indonesia. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kecerdasan adalah Culture Fair Intelligence Test (CFIT). Sedangkan instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kreativitas adalah Tes Kreativitas Figural (TKF). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kecerdasan dan kreativitas secara bersama-sama signifikan mempengaruhi overexcitability sebesar 7,9%. Hasil analisis pengaruh kecerdasan dan kreativitas terhadap dimensi dari overexcitability menunjukkan kecerdasan dan kreativitas secara signifikan hanya mempengaruhi sensual, intellectual, dan imaginational overexcitability.

Abstract

Abstract  This study was conducted to examine the effect of religiosity on psychological well-being. This study used a quantitative approach, with an accidental sampling method amount 156 participants. Psychological well-being measured by Psychological Well-Being Scale (PWB). PWB scale was translated and adapted based on Indonesian culture. Religiosity measured by the religiosity scale based on Fetzer theory. The result of this study showed that there was a significant positive effect of religiosity on psychological well-being. Keywords: psychological well being, religiosity Abstrak Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji pengaruh religiusitas terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Partisipan yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 156 orang yang diambil berdasarkan teknik sampling aksidental. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur religiusitas adalah skala religiusitas yang disusun berdasarkan teori Fetzer. Sedangkan, instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kesejahteraan psikologis adalah skala Psychological Well-Being (PWB) dari Ryff yang diadaptasi berdasarkan Budaya Indonesia. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa religiusitas secara positif signifikan mempengaruhi kesejahteraan psikologis.Kata kunci: kesejahteraan psikologis, religiusitas

Abstract

Abstract The EARS program is based on the Psychological First Aid (PFA) concept to improve sychological well-being. The program is carried out online using the WhatsApp chat media, training conducted by the helper who received the training. The subjects in this study were adolescents aged 19-25 years who registered and filled out informed consent. Subjects totaling 30 people, but who filled out a total of 13 people in the test so that only 13 people were processed the data. This study uses a quasi-experimental one group pretest and posttest design. Data analysis used Paired sample T-Test with P under 0.05. This shows that the EARS Program can improve psychological well-being.Keywords: pandemi, psychological wellbeing, psychology first aid, student Abstrak Program EARS disusun berdasarkan konsep Psychological First Aid (PFA) untuk dapat meningkatkan psychological well-being. Program di lakukan secara online dengan menggunakan media chat whatsapp yang dilakukan oleh helper yang mendapatkan pelatihan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah remaja usia 19-25 tahun yang mendaftarkan diri dan mengisi informed consent. Subjek berjumlah 30 orang namun yang mengisi keseluruhan test 13 orang sehingga hanya 13 orang yang di olah datanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi eksperimen one group pretest and posttest design. Analisis data menggunakan paired sample T-Test dengan hasil P dibawah 0,05. Hal ini menunjukan Program EARS dapat meningkatkan psychological well-being. Kata kunci: kesejahteraan psikologis, mahasiswa, pandemi, psikologi pertolongan pertama

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the relationship between competent parental involvement in caring for, handling, and educating children with birth impairment children. It involved 185 Bandung-based parents of children with a birth impairment. Skala Evaluasi Diri Kompetensi-Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus or SEDKO-ABK (Self-Evaluation Competence Scale for Parents with Children with Special Needs) was used as the instrument to measure the sense of competence, while parental involvement was measured using Kuesioner Keterlibatan Orang Tua dalam Pengasuhan Anak or KUKOPA (Questionnaire on Parental Involvement in Caring for Children). The results show that parental involvement in caring for, handling, and educating children with special needs. Based on the results of this research, training for parents is important to their understanding and skills in caring for children with a birth impairment.

Abstract

Purpose – Various empirical findings suggest that gifted students possess distinct traits, including heightened overexcitability. Overexcitability is associated with both positive potential and psychological conflicts, one of which is poor social relationship quality. However, only a few studies have confirmed the relationship between overexcitability and poor social relationships. This study was conducted to examine whether overexcitability affects the quality of friendship.Method – The study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. A total of 111 elementary, middle, and high school students participated, consisting of 23 identified gifted students, 38 students with superior intelligence, and 50 students with average intelligence. Overexcitability was measured using the Overexcitability Questionnaire II (OEQ-II), while friendship quality was measured using the Friendship Network Satisfaction Scale. The data obtained was analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression techniques, and one-way ANOVA. Findings – The results showed a significant effect of overexcitability on friendship quality (R Square = .210, sig. < .001). The difference test results revealed a significant difference (sig. = .005) in friendship quality among the gifted (m = 58.217), superior (m = 69.631), and average (67.180) intelligence groups. Gifted students were found to have lower friendship quality compared to the other groups (sig. = 0.05). Research Implications – These findings indicate the need for the implementation of psychoeducational programs to improve social skills for gifted students. Gifted students who have intellectual and imaginational overexcitability need to receive more guidance in improving their social interaction skills.
