This research aims to examine the forms of political participation among students as first-time voters and the factors influencing it during the 2024 General Election at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Gorontalo. This research employs a descriptive gualitative research method, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving students who met the criteria as eligible voters. The findings indicate that students demonstrated a relatively high level of political participation in the form of voting, primarily driven by personal awareness as well as influence from teachers, parents, and peers. However, participation in other forms, such as campaigning, contracting, and cooperative activities, remains low due to time constraints, lack of parental permission, and academic responsibilities. Several inhibiting factors were identified, including social factors such as politically indifferent environments, limited discussions, and the dominance of entertainment on social media: political factors such as low trust in political parties and candidates, as well as cultural and physical conditions. Therefore, there is a need to strengthen political education and provide supportive environments so that firsttime voters can engage more actively and comprehensively in the democratic process. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk partisipasi politik siswa sebagai pemilih pemula serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya pada Pemilu 2024 di SMA Negeri 4 Kota Gorontalo. Menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap siswa yang telah memenuhi syarat sebagai pemilih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk partisipasi politik siswa tergolong cukup tinggi dalam aspek voting, didorong oleh kesadaran pribadi serta pengaruh dari guru, orang tua, dan teman sebaya. Namun, partisipasi dalam bentuk lain seperti kampanye, contracting, dan cooperative masih rendah karena keterbatasan waktu, izin orang tua, dan kesibukan sekolah. Faktor-faktor yang menghambat partisipasi siswa meliputi faktor sosial seperti lingkungan yang kurang peduli politik, kurangnya diskusi, serta dominasi hiburan di media sosial; faktor politik berupa rendahnya kepercayaan terhadap partai dan calon; serta faktor budaya dan kondisi fisik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penguatan pendidikan politik dan dukungan lingkungan agar pemilih pemula dapat berpartisipasi secara lebih aktif dan menyeluruh dalam proses demokrasi.
