Abstract

Constraints in meeting the production of shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) caused by the use of bulbs in the previous planting season reduced the productivity of shallots. The aim of this research was to determine the best application of gibberellin concentration ( ) to improve shallot production in the lowlands of Karawang Regency. The research method used was the factorial randomized block design (RBD) experimental method consisting of 12 treatments repeated 3 times. The first factor was shallot varieties which included, namely V1 (Bima Brebes), V2 (Sumenep), V3 (Dayak) and the second factor the concentration of gibberellin ( ) included, namely G0 (0 ppm), G1 (100 ppm), G2 (150 ppm), and G3 (200 ppm). The results of the 5% level F test analysis showed no interaction in all observations. The results of the Duncan Multiple Range Test at 5% level showed that the shallot varietal factor v3 (Dayak) treatment obtained the best results on fresh weight per hill, fresh stover weight and dry stover weight. The independent factor of giberellin concentration ( ) with g0 treatment (0 ppm) showed better results on wet weight per plant and dry weight per plant.

Abstract

Kailan (Brassica oleraceae L. var alboglabra) has great prospect for cultivation, however kailan’s low production needs improvement through proper and balanced fertilization. The study aimed to obtain a combination of NPK fertilizer and liquid organic fertilizer of organic waste that gived the best influence on th growth and yield of kailan. The research method used was an experimental method with a Single Factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 8 treatment combinations which is, A (300 kg/ha NPK Fertilizer and 0 ml/l Liquid Organic Fertilizer of Organic Waste), B (0 kg/ha NPK Fertilizer and 200 ml/l Liquid Organic Fertilizer of Organic Waste), C (200 kg/ha NPK Fertilizer and 100 ml/l Liquid Organic Fertilizer of Organic Waste), D (200 kg/ha NPK Fertilizer and 200 ml/l Liquid Organic Fertilizer of Organic Waste), E (200 kg/ha NPK Fertilizer and 300 ml/l Liquid Organic Fertilizer of Organic Waste), F (100 kg/ha NPK Fertilizer and 100 ml/l Liquid Organic Fertilizer of Organic Waste), G (100 kg/ha NPK Fertilizer and 200 ml/l Liquid Organic Fertilizer of Organic Waste), and H (100 kg/ha NPK Fertilizer and 300 ml/l Liquid Organic Fertilizer of Organic Waste). The results of this study showed that NPK fertilizer and liquid organic fertilizer of organic waste combination had significant effect on plant height aged aged 42. Treatment D gave the highest result on plant height aged 42 but treatment C is considered gave the best results in kailan’s growth and decreasing NPK fertilizer used. Keyword : Kailan, Liquid Organic Fertilizer of Organic Waste, NPK Fertilizer

Abstract

Shallot is one of the horticultural commodities that has high economic value because its existence is very much needed by the people of Indonesia. This study aims to determine the exact concentration of BAP that can provide the best agronomic performance on several varieties of shallots in the lowlands. This research was conducted from December 2022 to May 2023 at the Screen House of the Faculty of Agriculture, Singaperbangsa University, Karawang which is located in Pasir Jengkol Village, Majalaya District, Karawang Regency. The research method used was Factorial (RAK) which consisted of 12 treatments and each treatment was repeated 3 times so that there were 36 experimental units in total. The first factor is variety which consists of 3 levels, namely v1 (Dayak), v2 (Sumenep), v3 (Bima Brebes). The second factor was the concentration of BAP which consisted of 4 levels, namely b1 (0 ppm), b2 (25 ppm), b3 (50 ppm), b3 (75 ppm). The effect of treatment was analyzed using analysis of variance and if the F test at 5% level was significant, then it was continued with a 5% DMRT follow-up test. The experimental results showed that there was no interaction between the several varieties and BAP concentrations on all observed parameters. however, the results showed a significant effect on the independent factor of the variety. Variety v1 (Dayak) was able to produce the highest number of tillers, fresh weight of stover, fresh weight of tubers per clump, dry weight of stover and dry weight of tubers per clump compared to v2 (Sumenep) and v3 (Bima Brebes). The independent factor of BAP concentration did not have a significant effect on all observed parameters.

Abstract

The success of cultivating straw mushrooms depends on the quality of the mushroom spawn. In addition to genetic factors, the nutrients present in the growth medium also influence the growth of straw mushroom spawn. The study was conducted in the Biotechnology and Plant Breeding Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Singaperbangsa Karawang University, located in Karawang Regency, from June 2023 to July 2023. The research method used was experimental with a Randomized Block Factorial Design. There were 2 factors consisting of 21 treatments. The first factor was in vitro culture media, consisting of 3 levels, namely, m1 (PDA 100%), m2 (ACBM 100%), and m3 (PDA 50% + ACBM 50%). The second factor was the straw mushroom isolates from Faperta Unsika, consisting of 7 levels, namely, i1 (Parent P), i2 (Parent S), i3 (FP0025), i4 (FP0026), i5 (FP0027), i6 (FP0034), and i7 (FP0047). Each treatment was replicated 3 times, resulting in 63 experimental units. The treatment effects were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), and if the F-test was significant, the best treatment was determined using DMRT at the 5% significance level. The results showed an interaction between the three different in vitro media and several isolates of F3 straw mushrooms (Volvariella volvaceae) from Faperta Unsika on mycelial colony diameter and mycelial growth rate. Treatment with the straw mushroom isolate (Volvariella volvaceae) Faperta Unsika FP034 on the medium (PDA 50% + ACBM 50%) resulted in the highest mycelial growth with a colony diameter of 8 cm and a mycelial growth rate of 2.22 cm/day on day 1 to day 2. Keywords: mycelia, isolate faperta unsika, straw mushroom, media nutrision, red rice wash water media

Abstract

Fertilization is an important component in plant cultivation. The use of a combination of biological organic fertilizers and inorganic fertilizers can show more optimal results for soil and plants. Biological organic fertilizers contain organic matter and functional microorganisms that are good for plant growth and development. This study aims to obtain the best doses of biological organic fertilizers and inorganic fertilizers that are able to provide the highest growth and yield of sweet corn (Zea mays L. saccharata Sturt) Ms-Unsika strain. This research was conducted in Tanjungsari District, Sumedang Regency, from December 2021 to March 2022. The research method used a Single Factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) which was repeated 5 times. The treatments tested were: P1 (NPK 300 kg/ha + Urea 200 kg/ha), P2 (POH 7 cube/ha) P3 (POH 7 cube/ha and NPK 150 kg/ha + Urea 100 kg/ha), P4 (POH 7 cube/ha and NPK 75 kg/ha + Urea 50 kg/ha), and P5 (POH 10 cube/ha). The results of this study showed that the application of biological organic fertilizers and inorganic fertilizers had a significant effect on the growth and yield of sweet corn in the P3 treatment (POH 7 cube/ha and NPK 150 kg/ha + Urea 100 kg/ha) showed the best results on plant height parameters, stem diameter, number of leaves, cob length, cob weight with cob and cob weight without cob.

Abstract

Bibit unggul berkualitas merupakan faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi dan hasil jamur merang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan jenis bibit yang memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil jamur optimum pada media proporsi substitusi serbuk sabut kelapa. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang dan di uji pada kumbung yang berlokasi di Desa Muktijaya  Kecamatan Cilamaya Kulon Kabupaten Karawang. Pada bulan Oktober 2021-Januari 2022. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktor  tunggal dengan 3  ulangan. Terdapat 10 perlakuan, yaitu A (F4 FP Putih), B (F4 FP Semi), C (F4 FP005), D (F4 FP006), E (F4 FP017), F (Maja Putih), G (Maja Semi), H (Wiji Putih), I (Wiji Semi) dan J (Merdeka Putih). Pengaruh perlakuan dianalisis dengan analisis ragam dan apabila uji F taraf 5% signifikan, untuk mengetahui perlakuan yang terbaik dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test). Pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh nyata perbedaan bibit genotipe harapan F4 Faperta Unsika dan bibit Komersil terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil jamur merang (Volvariella volvacea). Perlakuan A (F4 FP Putih) memberikan hasil tertinggi bobot konversi satu kumbung  yaitu 108.80 kg, jumlah tubuh buah 8,94 buah, bobot tubuh buah 9,09 g dan bobot  total perpetak 86,35 g dan isolat hibrida F4 FP005 memiliki nilai tertinggi pada bobot konversi satu kumbung yaitu 80,38 kg, jumlah tubuh buah 6,78 buah, bobot tubuh buah 12,81 g dan bobot total perpetak 63,79 g

Abstract

Sistem tanam tumpangsari telah lama diterapkan dalam praktik pertanian sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan efisiensi lahan dan hasil panen, terutama pada tanaman pangan. Salah satu kombinasi yang potensial adalah tumpangsari tanaman jagung dan bawang merah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan kombinasi galur hibrida jagung (Zea mays L.) dengan tanaman bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.) terbaik berdasarkan evaluasi sistem tanam tumpangsari. Penelitian dilakukan di lahan Politeknik Kelautan dan Perikanan, Karangpawitan, Kec. Karawang Barat, Kab. Karawang pada Februari-Mei 2024. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktor tunggal yang terdiri dari 13 perlakuan dengan 3 kali ulangan: V1; V2; V3; V4; V5; V6; V7; V8; V9; V10; V11; V12; V13. Pengaruh perlakuan dianalisis dengan analisis ragam (ANOVA) uji F taraf 5%. Apabila uji F signifikan, dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) pada taraf 5%. Hasil evaluasi tumpangsari menunjukkan perlakuan V10 memiliki nilai tertinggi pada LER sebesar 3,37 dan Agresivitas sebesar 0,27. Perlakuan V12 memiliki nilai RCC tertinggi 7,43 dan perlakuan V1 memiliki nilai CR tertinggi 10,68 pada tanaman jagung.

Abstract

Eco-enzyme is a process that can be used to valorize organic waste (fresh vegetable, fruit peel waste), in which fermentation is added brown sugar and water and selective microorganisms are used, namely bacteria and yeast. In addition to enzymes that can help plant growth and development, there are also hormones that are involved and interact with enzymes. Plant metabolic rate. One of the plants that require enzymes and hormones in its growth and development is the Brassicaceae family, namely samhong mustard greens. This research was conducted at the SEAMEO BIOTROP greenhouse located at Jalan Raya Tajur Km 6, Pakuan, South Bogor Sub-district, Bogor City, West Java, Indonesia. The research was conducted from April 2022 to May 2022. The research method used is the experimental method, employing a Double Factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) with treatments consisting of eco-enzyme factor with 4 levels: b0 (AB mix (control)), b1 (EE 8 ml/L), b2 (EE 10 ml/L), and b3 (EE 12 ml/L) and coconut water factor with 3 levels: k1 (2 ml/L), k2 (4 ml/L) and k3 (6 ml/L). Observation data were analyzed by analysis of variance and further tested by Duncan's multiple range test at the 5% level. The results of the F test and DMRT test showed that the treatment combination b0ke (AB mix and coconut water 6 ml/L) gave the best results on all observation parameters (plant height, number of leaves, root length, and plant fresh weight). Keywords: AB Mix, coconut water, eco enzyme, samhong king
