Abstract

Abstract

Kata Kunci: desa, festival, komunitas, online AbstractDelanggu District is one area in Klaten Regency that has national popularity in the rice farming sector. Unfortunately, in modern days, the intangible wealth developed from traditional rice farming activities such as culture, nature, and other elements are gradually disappeared. Therefore through educational approaches, it is essential to re-introduce the local community to increase their awareness of the local potential and create it as an element of sustainable community development. Festival is one of the media that can provide an edutainment approach for the local community. Through the use of the Jinshin no Hana method, the festival was developed by emphasizing the local community as the “main actor”. In its implementation, this method is performed through treasure mapping analysis, stakeholders analysis, idea brainstorming, and ranking via the pairwise method and implementation. In this pandemic situation, the realization was prioritized by an online and limited person in field implementation. Activities performed in this festival divided into 6, (1) preservations, (2) environmental improvement, (3) art performances, (4) SME’s publication, (5) games based on natural materials development, and (6) rice straw crafts workshops. Keywords: community, festival, online, village

Abstract

Sabrang village was once known for its one-of-a-kind rice variety, Rojolele Delanggu. Despite this cultural abundance, the communities are currently abandoning these villages because they are deemed uneconomically viable. This paper investigates the ways in which knowledge-sharing initiatives involving local governments, women farming associations that have historically led farming rituals, and students from diverse developing countries contribute to the restoration of the Rojolele rice planting pattern. The project invited 20 international students from various developing countries to participate in the In-Herit 2022 program. The program was launched to increase student and local interest in becoming village designers through a case study of the preservation of local Rojolele Delanggu rice in Sabrang Village. This activity was broken down into three sections: (1) learning from locals, (2) participatory learning and action, and (3) proposing ideas to locals. The outcomes of this three-day project were a mapping of opportunities, challenges, and resolutions pertaining to the Rojolele Delanggu preservation initiative. The majority of students were able to quickly fit in with the locals, apply PLA materials, and were paired with student mentors who knew about farming community development activities in Delanggu farming regions.

Abstract

Melon is a high-value economic commodity with broad market demand. However, melon production in Indonesia has shown relatively slow growth. To address this issue, sonic bloom technology, which stimulates stomatal opening, can be combined with foliar fertilizer to enhance melon growth. This study aimed to determine the optimal sonic bloom frequency and foliar fertilizer concentration to improve melon plant physiological activity and growth. The research was conducted from January to April 2024 at the Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Sebelas Maret screen house. The experimental design followed a fully nested layout with two treatment factors: sonic bloom frequency (Hz) (F1 = 4,000 and F2 = 4,500) and compound foliar fertilizer application (control, 1, 3, and 5 g L-1). The fertilizer concentration factor was nested within the frequency factor and replicated four times in a randomized arrangement. Data were analyzed using 5% ANOVA, 5% Least Significant Difference (LSD) for mean comparison, and regression and correlation analyses. The results demonstrated that a 4,500 Hz frequency significantly increased chlorophyll b content, plant height at 5 WAP (weeks after planting), and number of segments at 5 WAP. . However, sonic bloom frequency had no significant effect on stomatal density, stomatal conductance, photosynthetic rate, chlorophyll a, total chlorophyll, or leaf number at 5 WAP. The regression analysis results indicated that the optimal foliar fertilizer concentration for enhancing melon growth ranged between 2.96 - 3.68 g L-1.Keywords: chlorophyll, nutrient, photosynthesis, soundwave, stomata
