Abstract

This research is to find out the role of school principals in increasing the professional competence of SMTK teachers in the North Molllo District, TTS Regency. The research used is descriptive qualitative, in this case the researcher tries to provide an overview of the Role of the Principal in Improving Professional Competence. The data analysis technique used is narrative descriptive which is applied with three paths, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion/verification. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that: 1) The professional competence of regional SMTK teachers in North Mollo District is quite good. In terms of the competence of educators can be said to be professional. Some SMTK teachers have implemented learning methods in accordance with the applicable curriculum, and also used various variations of learning methods with the aim that students are not bored with the ongoing lessons.

Abstract

Sekolah Menengah Teologi Kristen Pniel Noemuke (SMTK) merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan tingkat SMTK yang berada di Noemuke, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Kecamatan Amanuban Selatan, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Selatan (TTS). Jarak antara sekolah dengan tempat tinggal siswa cukup jauh dan kondisi jalan yang buruk sehingga biaya transportasi cukup tinggi. Hal ini sendiri menjadi tantangan bagi guru dan siswa, kecuali siswa SMTK Pniel Noemuke Kelas XI yang sedang bersiap memasuki kelas. Tentu saja ini bukan situasi yang mudah. Siswa mempersiapkan studinya sambil berjuang menemukan jati dirinya di tengah gejolak masa remaja. Sejalan dengan hal tersebut, Kurikulum Kepemimpinan Kristen IAKN Kupang menyelenggarakan kegiatan berupa workshop pengembangan diri untuk mempersiapkan mahasiswa menghadapi masa depan. Penjangkauan masyarakat melalui lokakarya dan diskusi kelompok terfokus (FGD) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan pemahaman diri yang sehat dan mengajarkan siswa untuk mengembangkan keterampilan untuk merencanakan masa depan yang lebih cerah. Hasil dari layanan yang diberikan menunjukkan bahwa para mahasiswa merasa puas dan merasakan manfaat dari kegiatan PKM yang bertujuan untuk pengembangan diri guna mempersiapkan masa depan. Pniel Noemuke Christian Theological High School (SMTK) is one of the SMTK level educational institutions located in Noemuke, East Nusa Tenggara, South Amanuban District, South Central Timor Regency (TTS). The distance between the school and where students live is quite far and the road conditions are poor so transportation costs are quite high. This in itself is a challenge for teachers and students, except for SMTK Pniel Noemuke Class 11 students who are preparing to enter class. Of course this is not an easy situation. Students prepare for their studies while struggling to find their identity amidst the turmoil of adolescence. In line with this, the IAKN Kupang Christian Leadership Curriculum organizes activities in the form of self-development workshops to prepare students to face the future. This community outreach through workshops and focus group discussions (FGD) aims to provide insight into healthy self-understanding and teach students to develop skills to plan a brighter future. The results of the services provided show that students feel satisfied and feel the benefits of PKM activities which aim at self-development to prepare for the future.

Abstract

The people in Tesbatan village are generally known as people who live in religious pluralism. However, based on a preliminary survey in field, there are quite a lot of people who do not fully understand the importance of having a the right conception in a pluralistic society. Therefore, this Community Service Activity aims to form a conception of religious moderation in the Tesbatan community as a bridge for the establishment of comunity unity and co-operation in the manufacture and production of hand sanitizers form the basic ingredients of betel leaf and citrus fruits to prevent the spread og Covid-19. Methods for implementing PKM activities include : seminars on religious moderation and technical guidance on making hand sanitizer form betel leaf and citrus fruits. This activity is carried out in three stages :preparation, material provision and evaluation. In the implementation of this activity, the average response from PKM activity participants was 3,68% with very useful criteria, meaning that this PKM activity was considered very useful for the Tesbatan village community and they increasingly understood the concept of religious moderation and could also cooperate in utilizing natural resources in the form of betel leaf plants and citrus fruits to make hand sanitizer. Form the result of this study, it is hoped that community leaders as leaders can produce a cadre of leaders from young people in Tesbatan village who have a high spirit of tolerance by respecting diversity.

Abstract

Amidst Indonesia's pluralistic yet friction-prone religious landscape, the idea of ​​religious moderation is crucial. This article presents a theological and practical model for the church to make substantive contributions to this agenda. Building on an exegetical-hermeneutical reading of Hebrews 13:2, this article argues that the practice of hospitality toward "strangers" is central to Christian faith identity and can be translated into a "churching model" that promotes religious moderation. Using qualitative literature studies, this article discusses the theological foundations of hospitality, connects them with the pillars of religious moderation, formulates a dialogical and diaconal model of churching, and identifies its practical implications and challenges. The result is a contextual ecclesiology that transforms the church from an inward-focused entity into an embracing community that provides grace to others, regardless of differences in religious identity.   Abstrak Di tengah lanskap keagamaan Indonesia yang plural namun rentan terhadap friksi, gagasan moderasi beragama menjadi krusial. Artikel ini menawarkan sebuah model teologis-praktis bagi gereja untuk berkontribusi secara substantif dalam agenda tersebut. Berangkat dari pembacaan eksegetis-hermeneutis terhadap Ibrani 13:2, artikel ini berargumen bahwa praksis hospitalitas (keramahan) terhadap "orang asing" merupakan inti dari identitas iman Kristen yang dapat diterjemahkan menjadi sebuah "model menggereja" yang promotif terhadap moderasi beragama. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif studi literatur, artikel ini mendiskusikan landasan teologis hospitalitas, mengkoneksikannya dengan pilar-pilar moderasi beragama, merumuskan sebuah model menggereja yang dialogis dan diakonis, serta mengidentifikasi implikasi praktis maupun tantangannya. Hasilnya adalah sebuah tawaran eklesiologi kontekstual yang mentransformasikan gereja dari entitas yang berfokus ke dalam menjadi komunitas yang merangkul dan menjadi rahmat bagi sesama, terlepas dari perbedaan identitas keagamaan.

Abstract

This study was conducted to assess the ability of Christian religious education teachers to establish a school culture that is conducive to growth and service, as well as community development both inside and outside the school. The study aims to measure students' perceptions of internal support and community building by Christian religious education teachers at SMAK Hoineno, North Mollo District, South Central Timor Regency. The method used is quantitative analysis focusing on the validity and reliability of measurement instruments through rating scales. The results show that students feel that Christian religious education teachers often provide support in developing their potential, building a school culture, and delivering good service, including motivation and assistance in helping students achieve success. However, students also assess that there are some areas needing improvement, such as listening carefully and upholding ethical principles. The average student perception of internal support falls into the often occurring category (70.05%), while community building inside and outside the school is rated at 68.4%. This study emphasizes the importance of teachers as servant leaders in creating a positive learning environment and building an inclusive community.

Abstract

This research explores the development of a Christian education model that integrates local wisdom as a foundation for building solidarity and socio-theological responsibility. Through a comprehensive literature study approach with a hermeneutical-critical analysis of theological and pedagogical sources, this research identifies how local values can serve as a bridge to a universal understanding of human solidarity. The findings suggest that integrating local wisdom into Christian education not only enriches theological understanding but also enhances pedagogical relevance and effectiveness in the Indonesian context. The developed model offers a transformative framework that connects locality with universality through a contextual educational praxis while remaining faithful to fundamental Christian values.   Abstrak Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pengembangan model pendidikan Kristiani yang mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal sebagai fondasi untuk membangun solidaritas dan tanggung jawab sosial-teologis. Melalui pendekatan studi literatur komprehensif dengan analisis hermeneutis-kritis terhadap sumber-sumber teologis dan pedagogis, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi bagaimana nilai-nilai lokal dapat menjadi jembatan menuju pemahaman universal tentang solidaritas kemanusiaan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa integrasi kearifan lokal dalam pendidikan Kristiani tidak hanya memperkaya pemahaman teologis tetapi juga meningkatkan relevansi dan efektivitas pedagogis dalam konteks Indonesia. Model yang dikembangkan menawarkan kerangka kerja transformatif yang menghubungkan lokalitas dengan universalitas melalui praxis pendidikan yang kontekstual namun tetap setia pada nilai-nilai Kristiani fundamental.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to discuss the Principal's Efforts in Developing Student Skills Through Ikat Weaving at Loli Christian High School, Polen District, North Central Timor Regency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this research were school principals with teacher respondents and craftsmen students. Data collection techniques are interviews, documentation. The results show that the efforts of the school principal in developing student creativity through woven ikat have been carried out in accordance with the function and role of the school principal so that the handicrafts owned by the students can be developed properly.
