Abstract

This study aims to find out whether there is a difference between students who are treated using blended learning strategies and students who are treated using offline learning strategies. This research was carried out at Pamulang University. The research method used is a quantitative approach with the quasy experimental method. Samples were taken by cluster random sampling. The sample was taken as many as 50 students consisting of 25 students in the experimental class and 25 students in the control class. Instrument tests are validity tests and reliability tests. The validity test uses the product moment formula, and the results are all valid while the reliability test uses the alpha formula and reliable results are obtained. The data collection technique used in this study is in the form of the results of the students' mathematical comprehension ability test. Data analysis using a non-parametric test using the Mann-Whitney Test The results of the data analysis showed that the significance value was 0.015<0.05 so that there was a significant difference between the class that was given the blended learning strategy treatment and the class that was given the offline learning strategy treatment

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan M-APOS terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dalam belajar matematika. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 13 Tangerang dan SMP Negeri 4 Tangerang tahun ajaran 2015-2016. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode quasi experiment. Sampel penelitian diperoleh melalui teknik random sampling sebanyak 100 siswa yang terbagi menjadi 50 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 50 siswa kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian telah diuji cobakan kepada 36 siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 13 Tangerang. Setelah melalui proses uji validitas dengan rumus Product Moment didapat 7 soal yang valid dari 7 soal yang ada serta reliabel dengan rumus Alpha Cronbach. Sebelum data di analisis, dilakukan uji prasyarat yaitu uji normalitas menggunakan uji Liliefors dan uji homogenitas menggunakan Levene-Test. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan didapat bahwa data kedua kelompok berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji-t diperoleh dan 1,6637. Karena maka ditolak. Simpulannya adalah terdapat perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dengan menggunakan pendekatan M-APOS dan pembelajaran ekspositori. Hal ini juga menyatakan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang diberi perlakuan pendekatan M-APOS lebih tinggi dibandingkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang diberi pendekatan ekspositori.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze students' difficulties and problem-solving abilities in arithmetic operations on matrices. Design/methodology/approach:  is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were 30 students of class 03TPLP012. The instrument used was a test on matrix arithmetic operation. FindingsThe results showed that 4 student (13,3%) has problem solving abilities in the high category, 20 students (66,6%) were in the medium category, and 6 students (20%) were in the low category. From this study, it was found that some students were able to understand the problem, plan the problem, implement the problem, and check in again. However, there were still students who were unable to understand to problem, were unable to plan the problem, were unable to implement the problem, and were unable to check it again. The conclusion of this study was that most students problem-solving abilities were still in the medium category. Practical Implications: Lecturers can use this finding to adjust learning strategies, especially with the emphasis on understanding basic matrix concepts. Originality/Value: This study examines in depth the difficulties and abilities of students solving matrix problems simultaneously. This study emphasizes the students' thought processes in solving matrix problems, including conceptualization and procedural difficulties that arise at each stage of problem solving. Design/methodology/approach: menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa kelas 03TPLP012 dengan jumlah mahasiswa yaitu 30 mahasiswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes materi operasi hitung matriks. Findings: Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 4 mahasiswa (13,3%) memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada kategori tinggi, 20 mahasiswa (66,6%) berada pada kategori sedang, dan 6 mahasiswa (20%) termasuk dalam kategori rendah. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa beberapa mahasiswa sudah mampu memahami masalah, merencanakan penyelesaian masalah, melaksanakan penyelesaian masalah, dan mengecek kembali. Namun ditemukan masih terdapat mahasiswa yang tidak mampu memahami masalah, tidak mampu merencanakan penyelesaian masalah, tidak mampu melaksanakan penyelesaian masalah dan tidak mampu mengecek kembali. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini diperoleh sebagian besar kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah mahasiswa masih tergolong kategori sedang. Practical Implications: dosen dapat menggunakan temuin ini untuk menyesuaikan strategi pembelajaran, khususnya dengan menekankan pemahaman konsep dasar matriks. Originality/value: penelitian ini mengkaji secara mendalam kesulitan dam kemampuan pemecahan masalah matriks mahasiswa secara simultan. Studi ini menekankan pada proses berpikit mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matriks, termasuk kesulitan konseptual, prosedural yang muncul pada setiap tahap pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

This Community Service Activity aims to improve the basic digital literacy of children at TPQ Miftahul Huda through the paper craft method as an educational medium for basic computer architecture. The activity participants numbered 25 children aged 7–12 years, who were accompanied by 1 TPQ teacher and 3 facilitators from the community service team. The implementation method is carried out in the form of a face-to-face workshop that includes short lectures, demonstrations, paper craft assembly practice, interactive discussions, and simple evaluations. Paper craft media is used to introduce computer components such as CPUs, monitors, keyboards, and mice in a concrete and fun way without using computer devices directly. The results of the activity show an increase in the percentage of children who are able to name at least three basic computer components from 32% before the activity to 84% after the activity. In addition to improving cognitive understanding, this activity also encourages active participation, creativity, and fine motor skills of children during the learning process. Thus, the paper craft method has proven effective as an alternative learning medium to improve children's basic digital literacy in non-formal educational environments with limited facilities, and has the potential for sustainable replication.
