Abstract

This research is motivated by the low communication skills of students in Javanese language subjects, especially in class XII students of SMKN 3 Malang. This research was conducted to determine the effect of the Whatsapp Voice Note-based cooperative learning method on online learning on students' communication skills in Javanese. This study uses a pre-experimental method. The subjects consisted of 35 students. Communication skills were measured by written tests (pretest and posttest) and observation sheets. Communication skills tests and observation sheets were prepared and developed based on 21st-century communication indicators. Analysis of written test data (pretest and posttest) in this study were analyzed using statistical tests using the Statistics Package for Social Science (SPSS) software and performed manually using Microsoft Excel 2010 The observation sheet data were analyzed using the percentage calculation results. The data obtained from the study revealed that the application of the Whatsapp Voice Note-based cooperative learning method affected communication skills. This finding might be considered by Javanese language teachers to improve their communication skills. Keywords: Student Communication Skill, Whatsapp Voice Note, Cooperative Learning

Abstract

Digital libraries are another form of a library. The development of information technology brings changes to the form of libraries. The desire to provide library resources that are not limited by space and time also drives the rapid development of digital libraries. By utilizing a digital library-based information system, teachers can obtain appropriate and useful teaching materials. In Malang, so far digital books as a support for Javanese language learning are minimal, and it is not possible to duplicate them through conventional libraries because book financing is too expensive. This fact makes digital libraries a solution that can be built to bridge the shortage of teaching materials among Javanese teaching teachers. The method used in this research is the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) method. From the results and discussion obtained problem-solving, database design, how the system works, and the display of the digital library system. The hope of this research is that the information system created can be applied to all Javanese MGMPs to support cheap, easy, and paperless information systems.

Abstract

Pengobatan tradisional sering mendapat stigma negatif, meski masyarakat tetap mempraktikkannya. Penelitian ini mencoba mengidentifikasi upaya menjaga kesehatan masyarakat Jawa di masa Pandemi COVID-19. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan etnografi dengan observasi dan wawancara dilakukan terhadap 48 informan dan 6 informan kunci masyarakat suku Jawa di Kabupaten Mojokerto, selama tahun 2020-2021. Pendekatan fenomenologi digunakan saat pengumpulan data maupun analisisnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengobatan tradisional diterapkan karena alas an mudah, murah dan manjur serta sesuai dengan kerangka berpikir mereka terkait dengan konsep keseimbangan. Prinsip pengobatan menurut mereka seperti oposisibiner: panas x dingin; longgar x kencang; angin masuk x angin keluar; ringan x berat serta tercapainya keseimbangan merupakan dasar rasional pengobatan tradisional.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat direkomendasikan bahwa pengobatan tradisional dapat disejajarkan dengan medis modern sehingga pandangan negatif hilang dan rasionalitas pengobatan ini dapat diakui semua pihak.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konsep dasar penciptaan wayang kulit rai topeng yang dapat dimainkan sebagai alternative perkembangan wayang di Indonesia. Wayang Rai Topeng adalah pertunjukan wayang yang inovatif dengan pendekatan adaptasi kekayaan ragam topeng di Nusantara sebagai upaya menjadikannya media yang dapat digunakan untuk menceritakan kekayaan cerita di Nusantara. Permasalah yang diteliti adalah: (1) apa yang melatarbelakangi terciptanya wayang rai topeng; dan (2) bagaimana konsep dan struktur dasar pementasan wayang rai topeng. Kajian dilakukan dengan menerapkan metode penciptaan seni, yaitu eksplorasi, desain, kreasi dan presentasi. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa: pertama, penciptaan wayang rai topeng dilatarbelakangi oleh menurunnya minat generasi muda terhadap wayang. Kehidupan wayang terpinggirkan, merespons tantangan zaman yaitu era industry 4.0, dan sebagai lanjutan dari eksperimen pertunjukan wayang. Kedua, konsep dasar karakter wayang rai topeng adalah menekankan pada cerita Panji dimana cerita tersebut menggambarkan Panji yang berkeliling Nusantara sehingga memungkinkan munculnya keragaman budaya yang ada. Ketiga, model pertunjukan Wayang Rai Topeng mengadaptasi pertunjukan pendongeng keliling yang menekankan penggambaran wayang sebagai suatu media yang dapat digunakan dimana saja, dan kapan saja.

Abstract

Children with hearing impairments are children with special needs who have the same right to get education and develop according to their potential. Therefore they need different learning strategies to maximize their achievement in Javanese Subjects. This study aims to describe learning strategies that can be applied to deaf-speech-deaf children in the Javanese Language Subject as well as the existing inhibiting and supporting factors. In this field qualitative research which originated from observations, interviews, and supporting documents which were then strengthened by content analysis and triangulation it was found that effective learning strategies were those that were adapted to the individual needs of students, such as expository strategies, inquiry, contextual learning, and individualization. The restraints include a lack of parental support in banning Javanese material as well as the limited number of special teachers with Javanese teaching qualifications. However, supporting factors such as a comfortable learning environment, enthusiastic students, creative teachers, and school principals who support teaching and learning activities are very helpful in achieving success in Javanese Language Subjects for children who are deaf-mute. Therefore, this research has an important contribution to the development of more effective inclusive education for children with special needs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the challenges experienced in the teaching and learning process of Javanese language for vocational students during the covid-19 period and to find out the strategies and solutions carried out during online learning. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach in Javanese language learning at voactional school in Malang Raya. The subjects in this study were 5 Javanese language teachers and 25 students. The findings indicate some challenges of learning Javanese, such as barriers in communication, low self-learning ability of students, and lack of control over students' morals and behaviour during distance learning. While the solution offered is technology-based learning as a learning material to improve the emotional relationship between students and teachers, reduce the level of difficulty, prioritize meaningful learning, and apply multi-literacy knowledge. While the techniques used are producing teacher laboratories, conducting self-assessments as a reflection of independent learning, and involving parents as substitutes for education instructors.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the perception of coastal communities towards the art of wayang kulit purwa performances and examine the community's role in supporting the existence of the arts to survive and develop, using a qualitative method with a descriptive approach that uses observation and interview techniques with 25 residents of Masangan Village, Bungah, Gresik Regency and 2 puppeteers as resource persons. The results of this study indicate that (1) there are social and economic characteristics of the coastal community, (2) the perception of the coastal community towards an art performance and (3) the position of the wayang kulit purwa performing arts in the community. From the research results and discussion, it can be concluded that coastal communities consider the art of wayang kulit purwa performances to have an important position in their lives.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the KSIL (Concept, Simulation, Implementation, and Evaluation) method offered can provide a better insight into visiting ethics compared to groups of students who are taught using conventional learning models in Javanese, Javanese in class XII SMK Negeri 3 Malang Semester I of 2019/2020 Academic Year. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. The population in this study were all class XII students of the Computer and Network Engineering Department at SMKN 3 Malang. The research sample was 28 students of class XIIa and 27 students of class XIIb. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferential statistics (t-test). The results of this study are: (1) Good visiting ethics insight of the experimental group students is very high with an average of 34.78, (2) Good visiting ethics insight in the control group students is high with an average of 28.93. (3) There is a significant difference in the value of good visiting ethics insight between groups of students taught using the KSIL (Concept, Simulation, Implementation, and Evaluation) method and groups of students taught using conventional learning. The Javanese learning model for class XII students of SMK Negeri 3 Malang. Semester I of the 2019/2020 Academic Year. This shows that the KSIL learning method (Concept, Simulation, Implementation, and Evaluation) has a positive effect on students' insights about good visiting ethics.
