Abstract

Proses pemesinan harus dilakukan dengan tepat agar komponen yang dihasilkan dapat memenuhi spesifikasi yang telah ditentukan. Kinerja proses bubut dapat dievaluasi berdasarkan sifat mampu mesin (machinability) seperti gaya potong, kekasaran permukaan dan keausan pahat, yang nilainya diharapkan seminimum mungkin. Gaya potong, kekasaran permukaan dan keausan pahat yang dihasilkan pada proses bubut dipengaruhi oleh parameter proses, seperti kecepatan potong, kedalaman potong, gerak makan dan kondisi pemotongan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pelumasan berbasis minimum quantity lubrication (MQL). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa pengaruh parameter-parameter proses bubut terhadap gaya potong, kekasaran permukaan dan keausan pahat pada proses bubut baja AISI 4140. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan eksperimen Taguchi matriks ortogonal array L18. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kedalaman potong merupakan fakor utama yang mempengaruhi semua respon diikuti gerak makan. Perubahan kecepatan potong tidak mempengaruhi nilai kekasaran permukaan dan perbedaan cairan pemotongan tidak berpengaruh terhadap keausan pahat.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of auditor choice, in this case Big-4 and Non-Big-4 Affiliated Auditors, on the Financial Reporting Quality in Banking Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The dependent variable in this study is Financial Reporting Quality with the proxy of Discretionary Accruals which are estimated using the Cross-Sectional Modified Jones Model. Meanwhile, the Independent Variable uses Big-4 or Non-Big-4 Auditor Choices. Hypothesis testing was carried out using Multiple Linear Regression analysis in 43 banking companies for 6 (six) years, namely 2016 – 2021. The test results show that the auditor choice has a negative effect on discretionary accruals. Thus, the auditor choice has an influence on the quality of financial statements.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain optimal value for the surface roughness of the material AISI P20 on the Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) Sinking process. In the present research, the Taguchi method is used to investigate the significant influence of process variables on the machining performance and determine the combination of process variables on the EDM process. Orthogonal array L18 (21 × 33) based on the Taguchi method is chosen for the design of experiment. The experiment is replicated twice to finding out the influence of four process variables such as type of electrode, voltage gap, on-time, and off-time on the response performance. Machining performance is evaluated by surface roughness as a response variable that had quality characteristics, smaller is better. These experimental data were analyzed using the Signal-to-noise ratio and Analysis of Variance. The analysis results show that the surface roughness is influenced by the type of electrode and on time. Combination of process variables to obtain optimal surface roughness are using graphite electrodes, and setting values of gap voltage 40 volt, on-time 250 μs, and off-time 20 μs. This combination of process variables can be applied to the manufacturing process using EDM sinking in order to produce a good quality product that determined based on the surface roughness value.
