Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) kebutuhan bahan ajar membaca kritis bagi dosen dan mahasiswa, (2) produk bahan ajar membaca kritis hasil pengembangan, dan (3) efek potensial bahan ajar membaca kritis hasil pengembangan untuk mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas Baturaja. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan adalah bahan ajar berbentuk buku teks yaitu Membaca Kritis. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini menggunakan metode research and development (R&D) dengan mengadaptasi model pengembangan Jolly dan Bolitho. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan tes. Subjek dalam uji lapangan ini terdiri atas 23 orang mahasiswa. Untuk memperoleh informasi kelayakan bahan ajar, dilakukan validasi ahli berdasarkan aspek materi, bahasa, penyajian, dan kegrafikaan. Data dalam uji lapangan terbatas diperoleh melalui tes tertulis yaitu  tes tertulis berbentuk pilihan ganda dan uraian.  Berdasarkan hasil analisis validasi ahli, bahan ajar Membaca Kritis yang dikembangkan dapat dikategorikan baik atau layak digunakan oleh mahasiswa. Hasil tes membaca kritis oleh mahasiswa juga mengalami peningkatan dari nilai rata-rata 47,00 menjadi 69,26  dengan nilai selisih 22,26. Dengan demikian, prototipe bahan ajar Membaca Kritis hasil pengembangan peneliti dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam membaca kritis dan layak digunakan di Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia FKIP Universitas Baturaja.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan mahasiswa menulis cerpen berdasarkan pengalaman orang lain. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia FKIP Universitas Baturaja pada tanggal 2—4 Desember 2019. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 34 orang mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data, rata-rata kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menulis cerpen berdasarkan pengalaman orang lain mencapai nilai 70,11. Pencapaian ini ditunjukkan dari hasil sebanyak 15 orang mahasiswa (44,12%) termasuk kategori sangat mampu dan sebanyak 7 orang mahasiswa (20,59%) termasuk kategori mampu. Selanjutnya, sebanyak 12 orang mahasiswa (35,29%) termasuk kategori cukup mampu, sedangkan yang termasuk kategori kurang mampu sebanyak  0 orang mahasiswa (0,0%), dan sebanyak 0 orang mahasiswa termasuk kategori tidak mampu (0,0%), dengan rata-rata nilai yang diperoleh sebesar 70,11. Berdasarkan hasil rata-rata skor kemampuan mahasiswa semester V Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas Baturaja menulis cerpen berdasarkan pengalaman orang lain tersebut termasuk kategori mampu.

Abstract

Education is a crucial element in equipping students for their future. Each student has a unique way of understanding and absorbing information in every learning session. Engaging English teaching is an art that requires specific styles and techniques, making the learning process more enjoyable, and the study material more easily accepted by students. The researcher applied a qualitative literary research approach, emphasizing the utilization of texts and library literature as the main sources of primary data, involving three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification. Sampling was conducted within Educational Technology Study Program at Baturaja University, and the analysis of the samples was performed using a quantitative method. Learning style refers to the methods and techniques individuals use to learn and process information and knowledge. Students in Educational Technology study program in Baturaja University employ visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. This is verified by the analysis results, which reveal that 18 (60%) students prefer visual learning, 7 (23.33%) prefer auditory learning, and 5 (16.66%) prefer kinesthetic learning. The research findings demonstrate that studying learning styles has beneficial effects in the learning process, aiding in the development of confidence and autonomy in managing their learning. This, in turn, contributes to an improved overall learning experience.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop writing skills module teaching materials. The development model used in this research is the research and development model. The approach taken is mix methods research that combines qualitative and quantitative methods. The development model applied is that proposed by Jolly and Bolitho (in Tomlinson, (1998), Dick, Carey, and Carey (2005) and Tessmer (1998), The researcher collaborates with Dick, Carey, and Carey's model with Tessmer's evaluation model. The Tessmer model has five evaluation stages, namely the following self evaluation, expert reviews, one-to-one, small group and field test. The more often a product is evaluated, the more interesting the results will be, with the collaboration of these two models, it is hoped that it can produce a module that is valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran langsung terhadap Kemampuan siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 23 OKU mengubah teks wawancara menjadi karangan narasi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif, Selanjutnya metode penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 23 OKU sebanyak 163 siswa, jumlah sampel 30 siswa. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan tehnik simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes esai. Analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik dengan rumus uji-t (t-test). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 23 OKU mengubah teks wawancara menjadi karangan narasi sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung mendapat kategori kurang mampu dengan nilai rata-rata 44,16. Kemudian, setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran langsung mendapat kategori sangat baik dengan nilai rata-rata 89,16. Pada taraf signifikan 5% diperoleh t tabel 2,04 dan t hitung 5.38. Dalam hal ini menjukan bahwa t hitung (5.38) lebih besar dibandingkan dengan t tabel. Berdasarkan perhitungan uji t, terbukti “t” harga kritik “t tabel” (“t” lebih besar dari harga kriti “t tabel”). Dengan demikian, hipotesis yang dikemukakan yaitu “Model pembelajaran langsung efektif digunakan oleh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 23 OKU dalam pembelajaran mengubah teks wawancara menjadi karangan narasi”. Artinya model pembelajaran langsung baik digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas VII SMP Negeri 23 OKU. Dengan demikian target peneliti telah tercapai. Oleh sebab itu, disarankan agar ada usaha peneliti lebih lanjut dengan menjadikan penelitian ini sebagai bahan perbandingan

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the borrowed elements in the opinion column of the Kompas newspaper, September 2023 edition. This research uses a descriptive type of research with a qualitative approach. The method used in this research is the descriptive method. Data collection in this research is through the utilization of documents. The researcher used qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques. Based on the analysis results, it can be concluded that there are 11 loanwords through the adoption process of English found in the opinion column of Kompas newspaper, September 2023 edition, 98 loanwords through the adoption process of Dutch found in the opinion column of Kompas newspaper, September 2023 edition, 37 loanwords through the adaptation process of English found in the opinion column of Kompas newspaper, September 2023 edition, and 18 loanwords through the adaptation process of Dutch found in the opinion column of Kompas newspaper, September 2023 edition. The borrowed words used in the opinion column of Harian Kompas September 2023 edition are already equivalent in meaning to those in the Indonesian Dictionary of Foreign Borrowed Words, Edition V. The absorption process in this study is categorized into two types, namely adoption and adaptation. Adoption is more commonly found compared to adaptation.

Abstract

This research was conducted to describe the results of class Vll students' ability at SMP Negeri 1 Runjung Agung to change interview texts into narratives using the Cycle Learning Model. The research method used is quantitative and data collection techniques are carried out using test techniques. The sample was class Vll.l, totaling 31 people. Based on the research results, the ability of class Vll students at SMP Negeri 1 Runjung Agung OKU Selatan to change interview text into narratives using the Cycle Learning Model is in the good category. This is aimed at the test results of students who got a score of 85 there were 2 people (6.45%), who got a score of 80 there were 4 people (12.9%), who got a score of 75 there were 7 people (22.5%), who 7 people got a score of 70 (22.5%), 2 people got a score of 65 (6.4%), and 9 people got a score of 60 (29.0%). The results of calculating the average score of students changing interview text into narratives using the Cycle Learning Model reached 70.2 in the good category. Thus, it can be concluded that the lesson on changing interview text into a narrative for class V of SMP Negeri 1 Runjung Agung OKU Selatan was successfully implemented and the Cycle Learning Model was effectively used in the lesson.

Abstract

Meaning Analysis of Diadi Daya Gedung Wani Village South Ogan Komering Ulu District Dialect Song TraditionABSTRAKDiadi merupakan salah satu warisan budaya lokal yang berasal dari desa Gedung Wani OKU Selatan. Diadi merupakan ritme musik dengan senar gitar tunggal yang berkembang di daerah Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan Desa Gedung Wani Kecamatan Runjung Agung. Lirik dari Diadi ini berupa pantun dengan kata lainnya disebut canggut yang dinyanyikan sedemikian rupa dengan irama gitar tunggal. Pelaksanaan Diadi ini biasanya diadakan pada saat pesta pernikahan Ningkuk’an (bahasa daerah setempat) dan acara sukuran. Peneliti menganggap perlu meneliti heuristik dan hermeneutik dengan harapan supaya setelah diadakan penelitian ini warisan budaya Diadi bisa dilestarikan. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui makna heuristik dan hermeneutik nyanyian diadi dalam dialek Daya desa Gedung Wani  kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan semiotik dan struktural. Sumber data  penelitian adalah nyanyian tradisi diadi desa Gedung Wani. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian struktur diadi pembacaan tingkat heuristik dari sepuluh bait diadi terdapat struktur atau susunan, fungsi atau arti dari bait-bait tersebut yang dianalisis berdasarkan susunan yang terdapat dalam diadi tersebut yang disesuaikan  dengan bahasa Indonesia. Selanjutnya analisis berdasarkan pembacaan hermeneutik isi nyanyian tradisi diadi ini menceritakan tentang kisah antara dua insan yang ingin menjalin kasih dengan saling menerima segala kekurangan untuk mencapai kehidupan bahagia sampai hidup mati mereka bersama.Kata kunci: Makna Heuristik, Makna HermeneutikABSTRACTDiadi is one of the local cultural heritage originating from the village of Gedung Wani South OKU. Diadi is a musical rhythm with a single guitar string that developed in the South Ogan Komering Ulu area, Gedung Wani Village, Runjung Agung District. Diadi's lyrics are in the form of rhymes with other words called canggut which are sung in such a way with a single guitar rhythm. The implementation of Diadi is usually held at the Ningkuk'an wedding party (local language) and the sukur ceremony. Researchers consider it necessary to examine heuristics and hermeneutics in the hope that after this research, Diadi's cultural heritage can be preserved. The purpose of this study was to determine the heuristic and hermeneutic meaning of Diadi's song in the Daya dialect of Gedung Wani village, South Ogan Komering Ulu district. The method applied in this study is a qualitative descriptive method which  used a semiotic and structural approach. The source of the research data is the song Diadi, Gedung Wani village. Based on the research results on the structure of the Diadi, readings Diadi heuristic ten level stanzas consist a structure or arrangement, function or meaning of these verses which are analyzed based on the arrangement contained in the Diadi which is adapted to the Indonesian language. Furthermore, the analysis based on the hermeneutic reading of the Diadi song contents tells that the story of two people who want to make love by accepting each other's weakness to achieve a happy life until they live and die together.Keyword:  Heuristic Meaning, Hermeneutic Meaning

Abstract

This service is motivated by the problems faced bystudents in learning tolisten to stories, so that students feelbored and lazy to take part in learning, as a result learning out comes decline. This dedication aims to improve students' ability to listen to a story through the application of audio-visualmedia. The method of implementing activities includes 3 stages, namely the preparation stage, the activity implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. The target of this training activety is the 3rd grade students of SD N 1 OKU. The results of the implementation of this service activity are students who understand more quickly, are motivated and active in participating in story listening learning activities, students whoget scores above the minimum completeness criteria increase to 50%, previously only 25% of the total number of students, the ability to listen to stories in students experiences improvement, this is evidenced from seeing the results of evaluation tests that were answered well by students.
