Abstract

Numerous studies have been conducted on voltage and current imbalance in three-phase electrical installations, but there has been no research specifically analyzing the correlation between voltage and current imbalances in the electric generators of fishing vessels. This study aims to investigate and analyze potential relationships among four key variables within this research context: apparent power, generator loading percentage, voltage imbalance, and current imbalance aboard KM. Sumber Mandiri.The research findings reveal the Pearson correlation coefficient value indicating the average generator loading percentage's correlation with the average current imbalance to be only 2.47%. Additionally, the average apparent power's Pearson correlation coefficient with the average current imbalance on the KM. Sumber Mandiri generator between November 17, 2022, and November 26, 2022, is calculated to be 0.29%. Moreover, the average generator loading percentage's Pearson correlation coefficient with the average voltage imbalance stands at 27.58%, while the average apparent power's Pearson correlation coefficient with the average voltage imbalance is at 40.91%. The fluctuations in current imbalance in relation to the variation in voltage imbalance on the KM. Sumber Mandiri generator show an impact of 14.03%, while the remaining 85.97% is attributed to other factors. The outcomes of this research are expected to provide valuable insights into the understanding of factors influencing voltage and current imbalance from a statistical perspective. Additionally, this study may assist in enhancing and designing more efficient and reliable electrical systems in three-phase installations aboard KM. Sumber Mandiri.

Abstract

Penggunaan metode root cause failure analysis (RCFA) telah banyak digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi akar penyebab kegagalan, namun penerapan secara spesifik dalam mengevaluasi dan menilai penyebab kegagalan pada motor penggerak generator set di kapal penangkap ikan belum banyak digunakan sehingga mengalami kegagalan yang berulang-ulang. Berdasarkan hal itu penelitian ini  bertujuan dari artikel ini adalah mengevaluasi dan menganalisis penyebab komponen pada motor penggerak generator yang mengakibatkan kegagalan pada generator kapal penangkap ikan dengan pendekatan RCFA. Objek penelitian ini adalah Kapal penangkap ikan di Wilayah Pati, Jawa tengah yang merupakan Kapal Penangkap Ikan dengan alat tangkap purse seine yang memiliki generator set dengan kapasitas 50 kVA. Data kerusakan diambil dan  diidentifikasi akar penyebab kegagalan menggunakan RCFA sehingga mendapatkan proses rekomendasi perbaikan dan perawatan generator set. Berdasarkan hasil fishbone didapatkan 7 faktor yang sering menjadi penyebab. Namun, analisis yang dilakukan menghasilkan patahan komponen crank shaft pada mesin penggerak generator set pada kapal penangkap ikan disebabkan oleh pembebanan listrik yang berlebih. Berdasarkan hasil Rekomendasi perbaikan meliputi penggantian suku cadang crank shaft dan perubahan SOP pembebanan listrik pada generator set di kapal penangkap ikan. Kontribusi dari penelitian ini yaitu memberikan informasi terkait penyebab kegagalan crank shaft dan cara mengatasi dan rekomendasi perbaikannya

Abstract

Penggunaan peralatan praktik dalam proses pembelajaran sangat penting teurtama dalam peningkatan kompentensi bagi siswa. Namun beberapa sekolah menengah masih banyak sarana dan prasaran yang belum mencukupi untuk kegiatan pembelajaran praktik. Oleh karena itu, tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yaitu meningkatkan kompetensi dan kebermanfaatan kegiatan pembelajaran praktik dari segi dampak kegiatan bagi siswa SMK Perikanan Provinsi Riau. Kegiatan dipersiapkan dengan penentuan lokasi yang akan digunakan dan menyesuaikan dari jadwal kegiatan. Dalam mengolah dan memporeleh data dilakukan kegiatan pengisian kuesioner tingkat kepuasan dan tingkat ketercapaian kegiatan. Analisa data menggunakan metode skala linkert. Hasil analisa akan menentukan ketercapaian kegiatan berdasarkan nilai persentase yang didapatkan dari analisa skala linkert. Hasil diperoleh yaitu kegiatan berjalan dengan lancar dengan beberapa materi yang diajarkan secara teori dan praktek. Tingkat kepuasan peserta yaitu 72% sangat puas dan 28% puas. Sedangkan tingkat ketercapaian kegiatan berdsarkan kategori penyajian, dampak kegiatan dan kebermanfaatan secara berturut-turut yaitu 90,1%, 93,2% dan 95,3%. Berdasarakan hasil tersebut maka dapat dikatakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat sebagian besar tercapai. Sehingga dapat berkontribusi dalam peningkatan kompetensi permesinan pada siswa SMK Perikanan Provinsi Riau.

Abstract

Occupational accidents due to human errors in the operation of main engines on fishing vessels need to be considered because they can be fatal to the ship. This study aims to identify and analyze critical activities in the operation of fishing vessel main engines using the Systematic Human Error Reduction And Prediction Approach (SHERPA) method. The analytical method is to collect data by observation and interviews to fulfill the SHERPA tabulation. SHERPA analysis is closely related to using Hierarchial Task Analysis (HTA) diagrams to determine the amount of activity generated in the operation of fishing vessel main engines. In addition, work intensity analysis is applied to determine the stages that need to be considered in the operation of the main engine. Based on the resulting analysis, the highest work intensity is at the operating stage of the main engine. At the same time, the critical activity level is in closing the fuel faucet and the cooling system water faucet, which are included in the activity category of turning off the main engine. The findings of this study provide insight into handling critical activities in the operation of the main engine so that a strategy is needed to reduce human error in operation. The strategy for reducing this activity is strictly supervising and modifying or adding tools to make it easier for operators. The investigation results can inform the intensity and critical points of human error in the operation of fishing vessel main engines to reduce the occurrence of work accidents.

Abstract

The utilization of microcontroller systems for monitoring water quality in aquaculture remains uncommon. Particularly, there is a pressing need for real-time monitoring of water quality to ensure optimal control in aquaculture operations. Hence, this research aims to assess the performance of an Arduino-based water quality monitoring system that has been developed. This system employs various sensors to monitor water quality and is centered around an Arduino microcontroller. Subsequently, the constructed system underwent testing using different solutions, including TDS solution calibrated to 1382 ppm, pH buffer solutions of pH 4.00, pH 6.86, and pH 9.00, as well as clean water and water from fish ponds. The measurement results obtained from the device were compared and analyzed for error rate, precision, and accuracy. The findings indicate that the system functions effectively with temperature, TDS, and pH sensors, exhibiting favorable error, accuracy, and precision values. Thus, the Arduino-based water quality monitoring system devised in this study proves to be a viable option for aquaculture operations. This research contributes novel insights into real-time water quality monitoring, enhancing the efficiency of water management in aquaculture.
