Abstract

Budidaya udang vaname menjadi primadona di Indonesia karena memiliki nilai komersil  dan memberikan pendapatan bagi negara. Teknologi pemberian pakan salah satu faktor untuk keberhasilan budidaya. Saat ini teknologi berbasis IoT yaitu automatic feeder yang sedang tren pada budidaya udang vaname. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan automatic feeder pada budidaya udang vaname. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret-Mei 2021 di PT. Windu Marina Abadi, Lombok Timur dengan pengukuran pertumbuhan, kelangsungan hidup, dan FCR serta menganalisis kualitas air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pertumbuhan berat terendah terdapat pada petak A5 (7,79 g) dan tertinggi B5 (18,14 g) dengan rata-rata laju pertumbuhan perhari terendah yaitu A5 (0,09) dan B5 (0,21 g), kelangsungan hidup pada tambak menggunakan automatic feeder mencapai 97%, FCR tertinggi yaitu pada tambak (manual) A5 (2,45) dan terendah pada tambak B6 (automatic feeder) (1,08). Nilai kualitas air masih kisaran normal untuk budidaya. Tambak dengan penggunaan automatic feeder relatif lebih baik dibandingkan dengan tambak dengan pemberian pakan secara manual.

Abstract

Fisheries-marine extension in mangrove forest management in Rembang has been conducted for some time, namely in 1988 until now. The problem identified is that the results of the extension program allegedly have not been implemented optimally and have never been assessed the status of its success thoroughly and especially in its sustainability status so that a fisheries extension strategy is needed. This study aims to formulate recommendations for fisheries extension strategies in mangrove management in Rembang. The analysis method used is Multi-Dimensional Scalling (MDS) through the RAPFISH (Rapid Assessment Technique for Fisheries) approach, this method is used to determine the sustainability status of fisheries extension. Sampling using purposive sampling method, with respondents from mangrove management communities and fisheries communities including fishermen, fish farmers and other fisheries business actors, as well as from the Rembang Regency Marine and Fisheries Agency. The results of this study obtained the sustainability status of fisheries extension in mangrove management in Rembang for organizing fisheries extension in Rembang which includes 5 (five) attributes of 69.89, meaning that sustainability is in the status of "quite sustainable" in supporting mangrove management in Rembang. Substance material in the form of fisheries management and technology and conservation is an attribute with the highest sensitivity value that most affects the sustainability dimension of organizing fisheries extension in Rembang with a value of 11.80.

Abstract

Shrimp is one of the leading commodities with high economic value and generates foreign exchange in local and international markets. The production of shrimp farming industry in ponds fluctuates, causing doubts for investors and practitioners to develop shrimp farming in ponds. The weakness is that there is no available data on the evaluation of aquaculture performance as a good shrimp farming planning material. The purpose of this study was to assess the performance of shrimp farming industry in intensive pond system. The research was conducted from September 2023 to February 2024. The research location was Rhee Royal Vannamei Sumbawa West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. This research is applied research with data collection methods are observation and quantitative.  Data processing using Microsoft excel and SPSS (Statistical Program for Social Science). The results showed that the land is suitable for vaname shrimp farming, performance analysis showed Average daily growth (ADG) 0.4 gr/day, Average body weight (ABW) 13.86+5.59 g/head, Survival Rate (SR) 55+25%, Food Conversation Ratio (FCR) 1-1.5, and Productivity 11+5 tonnes/ha. The relationship between stocking density and shrimp productivity was not significant. Five cycles of production fluctuate, so it is not possible to determine predictions for the coming year. The prospect of shrimp farming industry in ponds is good enough to improve the economy.

Abstract

Biskuit dibuat dari campuran bahan dan lemak padat (shortening). Kualitas biskuit dipengaruhi oleh perbedaan jenis lemak yang digunakan. Limbah biji karet, tulang, kepala, sisik, kulit, dan isi perut ikan merupakan limbah perkebunan dan perikanan yang dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi lemak sebagai bahan baku shortening. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan rasio terbaik dari lemak padat stearin sawit, minyak ikan dan minyak biji karet yang di netralisasi serta dihilangkan baunya dengan rasio padatan terhadap sifat fisik dan tekstur adonan. Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) digunakan dengan 5 perlakuan (palm stearin/ minyak biji karet/ minyak ikan), yaitu rasio 1 (50:30:20), rasio 2 (60:35:5), rasio 3 (70:15 :15), rasio 4 (80:10:10), dan rasio 5 (90:5:5). Parameter uji meliputi diameter, hardness, ketebalan, tekstur, warna, kadar air, protein, lemak, kalori dan sensori. Analisis data menggunakan SPSS Versi 25 dengan ANOVA 95%. Hasil yang diperoleh lightness biskuit 74,57-78,55; ketebalan 0,54-0,94 mm; diameter 90,38-110,16 mm; hardness 2769,36-3648,53g; kadar lemak 18,61-20,64%; protein 10,38-10,88% dan nilai kalori 623,680-625,367 kcal. Hasil pengujian sensori tertinggi pada rasio 4 (80: 10: 10). Proporsi rasio shortening yang tepat memengaruhi karakteristik fisik dan kimia biskuit yang dihasilkan dengan rasio terbaik 80:10:10.

Abstract

The utilization of microcontroller systems for monitoring water quality in aquaculture remains uncommon. Particularly, there is a pressing need for real-time monitoring of water quality to ensure optimal control in aquaculture operations. Hence, this research aims to assess the performance of an Arduino-based water quality monitoring system that has been developed. This system employs various sensors to monitor water quality and is centered around an Arduino microcontroller. Subsequently, the constructed system underwent testing using different solutions, including TDS solution calibrated to 1382 ppm, pH buffer solutions of pH 4.00, pH 6.86, and pH 9.00, as well as clean water and water from fish ponds. The measurement results obtained from the device were compared and analyzed for error rate, precision, and accuracy. The findings indicate that the system functions effectively with temperature, TDS, and pH sensors, exhibiting favorable error, accuracy, and precision values. Thus, the Arduino-based water quality monitoring system devised in this study proves to be a viable option for aquaculture operations. This research contributes novel insights into real-time water quality monitoring, enhancing the efficiency of water management in aquaculture.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to conduct a social media analysis of brand awareness and brand image on the number of visitors to the smart fisheries village (SFV) in Java Island. The method used in sampling is the convenience sampling method, namely a sampling technique based on the convenience of researchers with respondents who are met by chance, are considered suitable, and are willing to be data sources and meet the criteria determined by the researcher. Data analysis in this study used SPSS software by conducting correlation and linear regression tests. Based on the results of the analysis that has been done, the calculated r value for the relationship between X1 (social media) and Y (brand image) is 0.313, which is greater than the r table value of 0.173 and the calculated r value for the relationship between X2 (advertising) and Y (brand image) is 0.571, which is greater than the r table value of 0.173, so that both variables have a positive effect. The R-square value obtained is 0.873, which states that the social media and advertising variables have an effect on brand image of 87.30% and the remaining 12.70% is influenced by other variables.

Abstract

Abon adalah makanan tahan lama yang memiliki protein tinggi dan memiliki kadar kolestrol yang rendah, yang dibuat dari daging disuwir atau dipisahkan seratnya, kemudian ditambahkan bumbu dan digoreng. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan uji hedonik pada abon ikan air tawar (ikan nila) dan abon ikan air laut (ikan layang). Menggunakan analisis uji hedonik dengan hasil uji deskripsi pada score sheet dikomplikasi dan dianalisis serta ditentukan nilai mutunya dengan mencari hasil rata-rata pada setiap panelis pada tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Berdasarkan hasil uji hedonik menunjukkan bahwa abon ikan air laut memiliki nilai lebih tinggi dengan nilai warna 4,1, aroma 4,8, rasa 4,5 dan tekstur 4,6 dibandingkan dengan ikan air tawar dengan nilai warna 4,4, aroma 4,0, rasa 2,6 dan tekstur 3,8.

Abstract

Kerusakan lingkungan mangrove merupakan salah satu faktor penyebab terjadinya abrasi di wilayah pesisir. Kota Tanjung Pinang merupakan salah satu kota pesisir yang memiliki kawasan pantai yang rentan terhadap abrasi. Oleh karena itu, kesadaran masyarakat dalam menjaga kelestarian tanaman mangrove perlu ditingkatkan melalui kegiatan edukatif dan penanaman bibit mangrove secara langsung. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi sekaligus mengajak masyarakat berpartisipasi dalam penanaman mangrove sebagai upaya pelestarian lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah penanaman mangrove bersama dan edukasi secara bersamaan. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan mengukur tingkat kepuasan peserta dan ketercapaian tujuan kegiatan. Instrumen evaluasi yang digunakan berupa kuesioner dengan skala Likert yang diberikan kepada peserta setelah mengikuti kegiatan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa peserta merasa puas terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan penanaman mangrove. Adapun tingkat ketercapaian tujuan kegiatan mencapai persentase sebesar 94,57%. Dampak dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai pola penanaman mangrove yang baik, serta meningkatnya kesadaran dalam menjaga kelestarian lingkungan sebagai bagian dari upaya mendukung konsep ekonomi biru. Keberlanjutan dari kontribusi kegiatan ini menjadi tujuan utama dalam mendukung ekonomi biru.
