Abstract

Very tight work competition results in many unemployed people because of the imbalance between the number of jobs and the number of graduates. For this reason, universities prepare lectures that can equip their students in entrepreneurship. One of them is greenpreneursip lectures. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning greenpreneur on communication skills and student entrepreneurial interests. The research design used was the pre-experimental design one-group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique is done by purposive sampling. The data collection method used in this study is the questionnaire method. Data collection instruments included 20 items of entrepreneurial interest questionnaires and 18 items of communication skills questionnaire used to determine changes in communication skills and entrepreneurial interests before and after the lecture. The results were obtained by the p-value of entrepreneurial interest> 0.05, which is equal to 0.475. the p-value of communication skills <0.05, which is equal to 0.049. The conclusion in this study is the greenpreneurship course does not affect student entrepreneurial interest, but has the effectiveness of student communication skills.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of learning problems at MAN 1 Semarang City which still uses conventional learning models, so that students find it difficult to understand the subject matter delivered by the teacher. Therefore the researchers applied the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model with the hope that learning would be more interesting and able to understand students so that the expected results could be achieved. This study aims to find out how students' critical thinking skills and learning activities are carried out through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in Salt Hydrolysis material. This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design method. Methods of data collection using test questions (critical thinking skills) and observation (learning activities). The application of PBL in the learning process can have a positive influence on students' critical thinking skills and activities. This is proven through the t-test analysis of critical thinking skills tcount = 8.071 and ttable =. 2,021. As for learning activities tcount = 5.441 ttable = 2.021, it is concluded that learning using the PBL model is more effective than learning applied using conventional models.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the PQ4R learning strategy on students' critical thinking skills and learning motivation. This research uses quasi-experimental research with a nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study was part of class XI MIPA at MA Negeri Kendal. Sampling was carried out using the cluster random sampling technique. The sample used in this research was 36 students of class XI MIPA 4 as the experimental class and 32 students of class XI MIPA 3 as the control class. The research results showed that the critical thinking skills t-test obtained a significance value (Sig.) 0.000 0.05, meaning there were differences in critical thinking skills between the experimental and control classes. Based on the results of the N-Gain test, critical thinking skills for the experimental class were 0.4418, and for the control class were 0.1483. The results of the t-test research on learning motivation obtained a significance value (Sig.) 0.001 0.05, meaning there is a difference in learning motivation for the experimental and control classes. Based on the results of the N-Gain test, the learning motivation for the experimental class was 0.3315, and the control class was 0.1529.  This research concludes that the effect of the effectiveness of using the PQ4R learning strategy on critical thinking skills and learning motivation in the experimental class is higher than in the control class.

Abstract

Abstract

The integration of interdisciplinary approaches in science education has gained increasing prominence, particularly within vocational school contexts. The research aims to identify the challenges faced by these teachers and to explore potential solutions for improving project-based instruction within the framework of Indonesia’s Merdeka Curriculum. This study investigates the perspectives of chemistry education graduates who are currently implementing interdisciplinary science projects in vocational schools across Central Java, East Java, and the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Employing a qualitative descriptive design, data were gathered from 25 purposively selected participants using an online open-ended questionnaire. Thematic analysis revealed several core challenges: limited pedagogical competence in project-based learning, difficulties in synthesizing natural and social science content, insufficient laboratory infrastructure and teaching materials, and restrictive curriculum policies that constrain instructional flexibility. These issues were especially pronounced among teachers with mono-disciplinary backgrounds in chemistry, who are now required to deliver integrated and contextualized learning. In response, the participants proposed actionable strategies, including training in contextual and project-based methodologies, mastery of interdisciplinary content, enhanced professional collaboration through musyawarah guru mata pelajaran (MGMP)  / subject teacher forums, improved access to instructional resources, and flexible curriculum design. The study highlights the need for comprehensive and systemic support to enhance teachers’ capacity to deliver meaningful and vocationally relevant interdisciplinary science education. The findings provide critical insights for policymakers, curriculum developers, and teacher education institutions aiming to advance the implementation of holistic STEM education in vocational settings.
