Abstract

Abortion is one of the causes of maternal morbidity and mortality associated with pregnancy at an early age. The incidence of spontaneous abortion in Indonesia based on age group is 3.8%. According to WHO, the percentage of abortions is quite high, around 15 - 40%. The Incidence rate is known in mothers who have been declared positive for pregnancy and 60 - 75% of abortions occur before 12 weeks of gestation. This research aims to find out whether there is a relationship between age and parity and the incidence of abortion. Retrospective analytical research method using data from medical records. The research was carried out from 25 to 31 August 2023 at Rsia Citra Keluarga Kediri City, with a total sampling technique of 77 respondents, the research instrument used a questionnaire, and data analysis used the chi-square test. The results of the research were that 9.0% of the age group were at risk and experienced abortion, and 28.6% were multiparous and experienced abortion. The statistical test obtained (p-value) = 0.003 (< ɑ = 0.05) which means there is a significant relationship between maternal age and the incidence of abortion. The results of the chi-square statistical test to determine the relationship between parity and the incidence of abortion were obtained (p-value) = 0.043 (< ɑ = 0.05) which means there is a significant relationship between maternal parity and the incidence of abortion. Maternal age < 20 years indicates a physical and psychological condition that is not yet ready, age > 35 years indicates a sign that reproductive organs are not working optimally such as those of productive age, high parity indicates how the condition of the uterine muscles is getting weaker and unable to maintain pregnancy, so women need to give education before planning a pregnancy, during pregnancy, and spacing of pregnancies so that women are better prepared and able to maintain their pregnancies to avoid abortion.

Efforts to monitor children's health as early as possible are carried out from the time the child is still in the womb until he is 5 years old, to ensure that the child can live a good life while improving the quality of life to achieve optimal growth and development. The aim is to analyze the relationship between maternal education and employment with the growth and development of early childhood in Tapos Bugenvil, Indrodelik Village, Bungah District, Gresik Regency. The type of research is analytical research. Independent variables are education and, the mother's occupation, dependent variables are growth and early childhood development. The research was carried out in Tapos Bugenvil, Indrodelik Village, Bungah District, Gresik Regency from 20 May to 22 June 2023. The research population was 85 respondents. A simple random sampling technique obtained 70 respondents. Data collection uses questionnaires, KPSP, and SDIDTK, after the data is collected, coding, scoring, tabulating, and data analysis are carried out. The results of the analysis of work and child growth (nutritional status) obtained ρ value = 0.084 > α 0.05, meaning there is no relationship between work and child growth, while the results of research analysis on the relationship between education and child growth (nutritional status) obtained ρ value = 0.046 < α 0.05 means there is a relationship between education and child growth, with a value of r= 0.393 which is in the low relationship category with a positive relationship direction. Through SDIDTK activities (stimulation of detection and early intervention of growth and development) growth and development disorders can be prevented early before children experience malnutrition. SDIDTK can prevent the possibility of mental/emotional deviations.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the problems that inhibits the development and growth of toddlers globally. Malnutrition at an early age will increase infant and child mortality rates, and cause sufferers to get sick easily and have less than optimal body posture as adults. One of the causes of stunting is the provision of Exclusive Breastfeeding. The purpose of this study was to describe the history of exclusive breastfeeding with the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 7-24 months at the Campurdarat Health Center, Tulungagung Regency in 2023. The type of research used was descriptive research. The research variables were Exclusive Breastfeeding and Stunting Incidence. The study was conducted at the Campurdarat Health Center, Tulungagung Regency on October 6-12, 2023. The population of all toddlers aged 7-24 months at the Campurdarat Health Center, Tulungagung Regency was 986 respondents. The sampling technique used was proportional random sampling. With a sample size of 124 respondents. The results of the analysis showed that out of 72 respondents (58.1%) with a history of toddlers being given Exclusive Breastfeeding, all of them did not experience stunting. Meanwhile, in 52 respondents (41.9%) who were not given exclusive breastfeeding, 14 respondents (11.3%) experienced stunting, and 38 respondents (30.6%) were not stunted. Toddlers who do not get enough breast milk have poor nutritional intake which will hamper the growth and development of toddlers. Therefore, providing exclusive breastfeeding to babies can reduce the possibility of stunting in toddlers.

Abstract

The use of motion audio visual media can increase interest and motivation for those who see it. The lack of interest and motivation of pregnant women in self-rescue for disaster mitigation, so it is necessary to educate pregnant women using motion audio visual media. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between education on disaster mitigation of the eruption of Mount Kelud using motion audio visual media and the motivation of pregnant women. The research design was a quasi-experimental study with One Group Pretest-Posttest. The population of 36 respondents was obtained by a sample of 33 respondents who were selected by simple random sampling. The study was conducted at TPMB Sri Utami, Asmorobangun Village, Puncu District, Kediri Regency, on May 12-17, 2024. The data collection process by providing a questionnaire as a pretest, respondents were given education about mitigating the eruption of Mount Kelud, then distributing questionnaires as a posttest, data analysis data editing, coding, scoring, and tabulating. The results of this study were tested using the Wilcoxon statistical test. The results of the study were obtained before the education was carried out, 100% had a moderate level of motivation. A posttest was carried out after education, 100% of respondents had high motivation. The results obtained indicate that there is a relationship between disaster mitigation education and the motivation of pregnant women. Before being given education, pregnant women have a moderate level of motivation, this is influenced by the low level of education. Low education affects the knowledge and thinking of individuals. So that individuals who have low knowledge need to be given repeated education so that they can continue to be motivated and encouraged to apply what is conveyed. The more education received, the higher the mother's motivation in saving herself from the eruption of Mount Kelud.
