Abstract

Motivation to learn includes the enthusiasm possessed by individuals, both originating from internal themselves and from external factors. The important role of advice as a source of motivation in facing learning challenges in the digital era is an encouragement for students to be active in learning by using technology wisely. This research aims to understand the challenges of learning motivation in the digital era and how advice is implemented in digital learning. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a focus on library research, namely the study of literature as a research subject. The research results indicate that the challenges of learning motivation in the digital era include the tendency to like freedom, high dependence on the internet and social media, the tendency for students to be lazy, less good at socializing, and less attention to togetherness values such as mutual cooperation. Apart from that, there is a tendency for free behavior, westernized orientation, and a lack of attention to ethics, formal rules, customs, and manners. In facing these challenges, implementing advice as learning motivation involves providing digital literacy insights to students, including digital skills, digital ethics, digital security, and digital culture. Advice is also given to prevent deviations in the use of social media, which can cause students to become too dependent on gadget devices and forget about learning activities.

Abstract

Mount Marapi is one of the active volcanoes in West Sumatra, which erupted on December 3, 2023, followed by heavy rainfall that triggered a cold lava flood. This event caused damage to land, infrastructure, and vegetation around Sungai Pua Subdistrict, Agam Regency. This study aims to analyze vegetation density changes before and after the lahar event and to map the affected areas using Sentinel-2 satellite imagery, applying the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and spatial overlay methods. The results show a decrease in very dense vegetation from 623.127 ha (42.38%) to 199.095 ha (13.54%), and an increase in poor vegetation from 354.269 ha (24.09%) to 551.566 ha (37.50%). The total vegetation density change reached 734.03 ha out of 1,470.32 ha. Identification of affected areas also indicates that the lahar spread along river channels from the summit to the slopes, with an affected area of 110.832 ha. These areas include agricultural land, plantations, and settlements along the riverbanks that were damaged by volcanic materials.

Abstract

This article discusses the effectiveness of the independent learning curriculum in PAI subjects at SMKN 2 Depok. The purpose of this article is to provide an impact on changes to the Independent Learning curriculum at SMK N 2 Depok, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the Independent Learning curriculum in PAI subjects at SMKN 2 Depok. The method used in this article is a qualitative approach so that the data collected is in the form of words rather than numbers and library research. The evaluation results show that regular evaluation and selecting appropriate evaluation methods are very important in ensuring the effectiveness of the independent learning curriculum in PAI subjects in the learning process. This article provides recommendations and suggestions for increasing effectiveness in the learning process, especially in PAI subjects. It is hoped that this article can provide insight and guidance for teachers in implementing the independent learning curriculum. The main issues that will be discussed are 1) Compliance of implementation with the concept of Freedom to Learn 2) Impact of evaluation on student learning
