Abstract

Adanya kasus kesulitan belajar yang dialami siswa selama pandemi covid-19 membuat siswa kurang memahami materi pelajaran yang disampaikan oleh guru. Tujuan peneliti untuk mengategorikan masalah dan menemukan solusi untuk penyelesaian masalah kesulitan belajar siswa selama pandemi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 14 siswa kelas empat sekolah dasar dan 14 orangtua siswa kelas empat. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model Matthew B. Milles & Hubberman dengan metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif model alir (flow model) yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Pengolahan data menggunakan triangulasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kesulitan berupa (1) tidak semua siswa memiliki gawai yang mendukung pembelajaran, (2) kesulitan dalam jaringan, dan (3) kesulitan dalam pembelian paket data internet. Pemecahan masalah kesulitan belajar adalah menggunakan metode tatap muka dengan menggunakan sistem rolling atau bergantian, pada saat pembelajaran tatap muka, siswa di ruang kelas tidak boleh melebihi dari enam belas dan dilakukan selama dua hari sekali. Kedua dengan sistem daring yaitu dengan cara bergantian dengan tatap muka yang dilaksanakan selama dua hari sekali. Ketiga adalah harus adanya bantuan paket data internet dari pemerintah kepada guru dan siswa untuk menunjang pembelajaran selama pandemi covid-19.

Abstract

Abstract: This article aims to describe the structure contained in Sunan Muria Folk Literature and describe the character values in Sunan Muria Folk Literature. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The type of plot used in Sunan Muria Folk Literature in Kudus Regency is a straight or advanced plot. The dominant figure in the Sunan Muria Folk Literature in Kudus Regency is a good human character. More background is used in this folk literature. Sunan Muria Folk Literature in Kudus Regency contains varied suggestions. The character values in this folk literature include religious values, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, independence, democratization, friendship/ communicative, peace, social life, and the value of responsibility. Abstrak: Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur yang terkandung dalam Sastra Rakyat Sunan Muria dan menguraikan nilai-nilai karakter dalam Sastra Rakyat Sunan Muria. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Jenis plot yang digunakan dalam Sastra Rakyat Sunan Muria di Kabupaten Kudus adalah plot lurus atau maju. Tokoh dominan dalam Sastra Rakyat Sunan Muria di Kabupaten Kudus adalah karakter manusia yang baik. Latar belakang tempat lebih banyak digunakan dalam literatur rakyat ini. Sastra Rakyat Sunan Muria di Kabupaten Kudus berisi saran variatif. Nilai-nilai karakter yang dalam literatur rakyat ini antara lain nilai religi, kejujuran, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, kemandirian, demokratisasi, persahabatan/komunikatif, damai, kehidupan sosial, dan nilai tanggung jawab.

Abstract

Banyak kasus yang menunjukkan lunturnya karakter santun di kalangan siswa di Sekolah  Dasar akibat kurangnya perhatian keluarga terhadap sikap dan perilaku anak juga akibat pengaruh negatif yang ditimbulkan oleh media sosial. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengategorikan peran keluarga dan media sosial dalam membentuk karakter santun siswa di Sekolah Dasar serta menyanggah atau menyetujui teori habitus Pierre Bordieu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah empat siswa kelas lima Sekolah Dasar Supriyadi dan Sekolah Dasar Primadana Semarang beserta orang tua mereka. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik induktif interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keluarga berperan dalam mendidik, mengajarkan pengetahuan, dan mengevaluasi setiap sikap dan perilaku siswa Sekolah Dasar selama ia berada di lingkup keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat. Sedangkan media sosial tidak berperan positif dalam pembentukan karakter santun siswa, akan tetapi justru berperan mengganggu dan merusak karakter santunnya. Oleh karena itu, keluarga harus berperan melakukan manajemen penggunaan media sosial untuk anak dalam berbagai fungsinya, seperti manajemen sebagai sarana edukasi, sarana hiburan, dan alat komunikasi untuk mempertahankan karakter santunnya. Kata Kunci: Peran, keluarga, media sosial, karakter santun THE ROLE OF FAMILY AND SOCIAL MEDIA IN BUILDING STUDENT'S POLITE CHARACTER IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Abstract: Many cases show the declining character of politeness among students in elementary school due to the lack of family attention to their attitudes and behavior as well as the negative influence caused by social media. The purpose of this study is to categorize the role of family and social media in shaping the polite character of students in elementary schools and refuting or agreeing with habitus theory of Pierre Bordieu. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were four fifth grade students of Supriyadi Elementary School and Primadana Elementary School in Semarang and their parents. Data collection uses interview, observation, and documentation techniques. Data analysis uses interactive inductive techniques. The results show that the family has a role in educating, teaching knowledge, and evaluating every attitude and behavior of elementary school students as long as he was in the scope of the family, school, and community. Whereas social media does not play a positive role in shaping students' polite character, but instead plays a role in disrupting and damaging their polite characters. Therefore, the family must play a role in managing the use of social media for children in a variety of functions, such as management as a means of education, entertainment, and communication tools to maintain their polite character. Keywords: Role, family, social media, polite character

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze in depth the role of schools in dealing with bullying practices at MI Ma'arif Sembego. Researchers used qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this research are first-grade to sixth-grade teachers and the principal of MI Ma'arif Sembego. Data collection techniques used in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Interviews are used as a way for researchers to explore information in depth about the problems in the school being studied. The non-participatory observation was conducted to observe the handling of bullying practices by principals and teachers. Documentation of this research includes school profile biodata, photos, audiovisuals, and so on. Data analysis uses the Flow method from Miles & Hubberman in the form of three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that dealing with bullying practices in schools through the role of principals and teachers can be divided into several indikators. The role of the principal becomes 4 indikators, namely leading, guiding, controlling, and providing school policies. Meanwhile, the role of the teacher is divided into 3 indikators, namely guiding, mediator, and counselor.

Abstract

The rapid development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the 21st century has influenced various aspects of people’s lives, one of which is in the educational field. ICT has a vital role in the development of learning systems. This study aims to analyze the elementary school students’ ICT literacy skills in the border area of Cirebon Regency. The research method used was a survey method with a quantitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques utilized a questionnaire. The research sample consisted of 157 grade V elementary school students in the Sedong Sub-district located on the border of Cirebon Regency, Indonesia. The results showed that 82% of students had ICT devices, such as laptops, smartphones, or tablets, with 61% of students accustomed to using ICT devices in their daily lives for between 2-6 hours per day. However, the students’ ICT literacy level was still at level 1 out of 6 levels. Only 32% of students used ICT devices to find information as needed, and 27% of students utilized ICT devices for discussion about learning. Students used it more for entertainment, such as listening to music, watching videos, playing games, and joking with their friends on social media. In this case, students need guidance and direction in using ICT devices to be used as needed in daily life even though they are in the border area between regions. This study’s benefit is to see the percentage of elementary school students’ ICT literacy level as a preliminary study for other ongoing studies.

Abstract

Good classroom management will give birth to good teaching and learning interactions as well. Therefore this study aims to determine the Effect of Classroom Management Through a Managerial Approach on Learning Outcomes of Third Grade Students at SD NU Sleman. This study uses a quantitative method with an experimental research approach to the type of Pre-Experimental Design with One Shot Case Study. The research population was 95 students in grade III SD NU Sleman, which were divided into four, namely class III A – III D. The data collection techniques used in this study were tests and observation with research instruments using tests. The quality criteria of the test use item differential power. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics by comparing the average value of student learning outcomes before and after. The results of the study show that there are differences in learning outcomes between the previous scores and after the experiments. This is shown based on the one sample t test with a Sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.015 <0.05, thus based on this analysis it has been shown that classroom management has a significant effect on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Teachers are expected to be able to evaluate the learning process and also be able to develop evaluation tools or instruments used in the learning process. Test items are considered appropriate if they are valid and able to measure the level of suitability and reliability or consistency. The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality of the test items and the mathematical ability of the XII grade students of the State Vocational School in one of State Vocational School in Semarang District. This research is a quantitative descriptive study that describes the quality of the mathematics test items made by the teacher and the students' abilities in mathematics. The subjects in this study were 126 student response patterns to the test instrument in the form of multiple choice questions totaling 20 items for class XII students. Rasch model was used to analyze this research with the help of Winsteps 3.73 software. A total of 20 items were tested, there was only one item, namely item number 7, which did not fit, which means it does not function normally to measure students' abilities. The ability of students who are relatively weak with Person Reliability of 0.48. The results showed that the quality of the test items was applicable. This is indicated by the Item Reliability value of 0.95 which means that the items are very good for evaluating students' abilities.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition (CIRC) learning model on the intensive reading skills of fourth-grade students at SD NU Sleman. This research uses quantitative methods, with a quasi-experimental design in the form of a nonequivalent control group design, with an experimental and control class. With two variables, the independent variable is the CIRC learning model, and the dependent variable is intensive reading skills. The population used was 74 fourth-grade students at SD NU Sleman and a sample size of 15 in each experimental and control class. The instruments used in this research were multiple-choice tests and observation. Hypothesis testing uses the independent sample t-test. The research results showed a significant difference in intensive reading skills between the experimental class, which used the CIRC learning model, and the control class, which did not use the CIRC learning model. Classes that use the CIRC learning model have a higher average post-test score with an average difference of 12.67. The significance of the difference in intensive reading skills can be seen in the Sig value obtained. (2-tailed) is 0.000, which means it is smaller than 0.05. So, there is an influence of the CIRC learning model on the intensive reading skills of fourth-grade students at SD NU Sleman.
