Abstract

As tourism grows fast and tourism destinations develops well all around the world, the human capital in the sectors are the most important component of its business which deliver services. The grow affects all aspects of business including hospitality industry. A multicultural working environment in hospitality industry has been practiced since decades due to its international character of business. The condition brought communication challenges to the internal operations more particularly in the front-line departments. This study aims to find out the challenges for foreign workers in the process of communication and how they overcome any communication problems that may occurred in their day-to-day operations in a multicultural hospitality working environment. Different cultures may press the communication problems while the business is about serving people and ensure that all the guest needs are provided well in timely manner. The research is conducted in a three-star-rated hotel in Japan with a multicultural environment and may give insights to the hoteliers who aspire to embrace their future career abroad. The findings are quite interesting since culture is taking the most important part to overcome and handle the situation as it aims to maintain a good working environment.

Abstract

Hotel XX Jakarta is four-star hotels offering a variety of luxuries and conveniences for guests. Problems that occur in hotels that are the number of hotels that have been built that causes guests have many options to stay. That's where we want to examine the level of customer loyalty Hotel XX Jakarta. Due to the many hotels that become rivals, how Hotel XX Jakarta can still stand up to this time. In this research, we distributed questionnaires online. The results we get from the responses of consumers in the questionnaire, states that the services provided is good enough. The implication of this high service quality is that the respondent's loyalty is also high. In order to maintain this performance, more varied services are needed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengaruh dewan direksi, komite audit, kepemilikan manajerial dan kepemilikan institusional terhadap financial distress pada perusahaan sektor idustri dasar dan kimia yang terdaftar di bursa efek indonesia periode 2016-2019. Data yang digunakan bersumber dari data keuangan di Bursa Efek Indonesia melalui situs www.idnfinancials.com dan telah dilakukan seleksi berdasarkan kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan Sektor Industri Dasar dan Kimia yang berjumlah 68 perusahaan, dengan menggunakan purposive sampling maka sampel yang didapatkan sebanyak 11 perusahaan. Dengan penelitian ini diharapkan agar dapat menjadi suatu ilmu pengetahuan untuk membantu para peneliti selanjutnya dan juga para mahasiswa atau masyarakat umum yang membutuhkan suatu sumber informasi. Dari penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa dewan direksi, komite audit, kepemilikan manajerial, kepemilikan institusional tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap financial distress pada Perusahaan Sektor Industri Dasar dan Kimia. Tetapi semua variabel berpengaruh secara simultan. Pemilihan sektor pada penelitian ini dikarenakan saham tersebut merupakan saham-saham yang paling banyak diminati saat ini. Sektor Industri Dasar dan Kimia mewakili unsur dasar yang digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hampir semua barang yang kita gunakan sehari-hari merupakan produk perusahan industri dasar dan kimia.
