Abstract

Perkembangan masalah gizi di Indonesia sangat kompleks, permasalahan tersebut mengacu pada kekurangan gizi dan kelebihan gizi yang harus di tangani dengan serius. Saat ini prioritas pemerintah fokus terhadap 1000 hari pertama kehidupan untuk menyelesaikan masalah gizi dan terutama masalah stunting. Masalah stunting terutama disebabkan karena ada pengaruh dari pola asuh salah satunya Inisiasi Menyusui Dini (IMD), cakupan dan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Penggalian data terkait implementasi kebijakan IMD meliputi indikator input, proses dan output. Penelitian ini dilakukan di wilayah kerja Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Jambi yang akan memfokuskan di Puskesmas Jambi Kecil dengan puskesmas pembanding yaitu Puskesmas Payo Selincah. Yang menjadi informan pada penelitian ini adalah koordinator program kesehatan keluarga dan gizi masyarakat, petugas kesehatan ibu dan anak serta ibu hamil yang mengikuti dan tidak mengikuti kelas ibu hamil di puskesmas. Keberhasilan kebijakan dan implementasi IMD dan ASI Eksklusif sangat ditentukan oleh kejelasan konten mengenai siapa pelaku kebijakan secara spesifik, bagaimana pelaksanaan dan siapa lintas sektor yang terlibat. Selain itu, perlu adanya pengendalian dan kebijakan lain mengenai konteks yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan pelaksanaan seperti adanya sanksi. Penyuluhan IMD di posyandu dan pelaksanaan kelas ibu hamil sebagai upaya promosi dan perubahan perilaku terkait kesehatan perlu ditingkatkan komitmen dan himbauan kepada ibu-ibu di wilayah kerja puskesmas sehingga ibu-ibu memahami pentingnya IMD serta ASI Eksklusif bagi bayi. Selain itu peningkatan kapasitas tenaga kesehatan melalui pelatihan juga harus selalu diadakan secara berkala.

Abstract

Background: Most of the biscuits used as additional food for toddlers in Indonesia are still made from wheat flour; therefore, it is necessary to develop a product made from local food that will reduce dependence on wheat flour. The current high consumption of rice has encouraged various food diversification efforts to avoid dependence on a single commodity. Biscuits combine sorghum with red bean flour to increase their protein content, so they can be an alternative, nutrient-dense complementary food for stunted toddlers.Objectives: This study aimed to determine the formulation and protein content of biscuits. This research consisted of making sorghum and red bean flour and biscuit formulations, as well as analyzing protein and food fiber levels.Methods: The experimental design used in this study was completely randomized Design (CRD). The research was conducted at the Basic Laboratory of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Siliwangi University, and the Food and Nutrition Laboratory, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Gadjah Mada University. The comparison of the amount of ingredients from wheat flour, sorghum flour and red bean flour studied was F0 (wheat flour 80g), F1 (wheat flour 50g; sorghum flour 3g; red bean flour 10g), F2 (wheat flour 50g; sorghum flour 30g; flour red beans 15g), F3 (wheat flour 50g; sorghum flour 30g; red bean flour 20g) and F4 (wheat flour 80g; sorghum flour 30g) and each uses the same amount of ingredients, namely egg yolk 30g, margarine 60g, powdered sugar 40g and powdered milk 54g. Laboratory results were tested using one-way ANOVA and Duncan's advanced test, with a significance level of 0,05.Results: All formulas have significant differences based on the One Way Anova test and meet the quality of biscuits according to SNI 01-2973-2011. The best formulation with chemical test results is F3 with the highest protein content of 13,75%, water content of 4,71%, ash content of 2,43%, fat content of 26,4% and carbohydrate content of 52,7%.Conclusion: Sorghum and bean biscuits that combine sorghum with red bean flour increase the protein content of biscuits, making them an alternative nutrient-dense complementary food for stunted toddlers.KeywordsSorghum flour, red bean flour, biscuit, complementary food

Abstract

Gizi kurang pada balita dimulai dari berat badan yang kurang sehingga ibu harus peka untuk mendeteksi perubahan berat badan anak, melalui Growth Monitoring and Promotion (GMP) di Posyandu. Hasil temuan di lapangan menunjukkan rendahnya partisipasi masyarakat dalam pemantauan pertumbuhan di Posyandu, kegiatan Posyandu dianggap monoton dan kegiatan kegiatan meja ke-4 sering tidak dilakukan. Kami berkontribusi melalui pengabdian masyarakat tentang pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam pelaksanaan Growth Monitoring and Promotion (GMP) pada Masyarakat Panglayungan. Program pengabdian masyarakat bekerjasama Posyandu Naluri dan Posyandu Kencana. Kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi kegiatan edukasi, pelatihan dan pendampingan pelaksanaan GMP di Posyandu. Evaluasi dilakukkan dengan pre-test post-test, dan kemampuan melakukan GMP di Posyandu. Kegiatan edukasi dan pelatihan GMP dilakukan pada hari Sabtu tanggal 28 Juli 2024 di Aula Yayasan Al Ikhlas. Pendampingan GMP di Posyandu Naluri dilakukan tanggal 9 Agustus 2024 dan di Posyandu Kencana pada tanggal 10 Agustus 2024. Peserta pada kegiatan ini adalah kader dan sasaran Posyandu Naluri dan Kencana dengan jumlah 60 orang. Hasil edukasi dan pelatihan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan skor pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan dilakukan, yang dibuktikan dengan dari hasil uji Wilcoxon didapatkan nilai p=0,000. Pemberdayaan Masyarakat melalui kegiatan edukasi, pelatihan dan pendampingan yang dilakukan berhasil meningkatkan skor pengatahuan peserta tentang pelaksanaan GMP, namun masih ada pelaksanaan GMP terutama pengukuran TB dan PB yang masih perlu diperbaiki. Perlu dilakukan refreshing terkait dengan pelaksanaan GMP secara berkala.

Abstract

Women Farmers Group (KWT) plays an important role in supporting the progress of the agricultural sector. KWT Roay Lestari is a farmer women's group in Kahuripan Village, Tawang Subdistrict. KWT Roay Lestari focuses on processing and marketing processed agricultural products. However, limited resources and knowledge hinder the optimization of KWT's role. This empowerment aims to improve the welfare of KWT through better processing and marketing of farm products. The holistic approach to implementing empowerment includes skills development, working capital support, and marketing capacity building. Based on the results of the activities, a positive impact was obtained through increased skills and independence of KWT members in product processing and marketing. This program can be a replicated empowerment model in other areas to encourage food security and community economic welfare.

Abstract

Determinants of dietary diversity among female adolescents in Tasikmalaya CityBackground: Poor diet quality is the root cause of nutritional problems in adolescent girls, and dietary diversity is a determinant of diet quality.Objective: This study aimed to analyze the determinants of dietary diversity among female adolescents, encompassing individual, parental, and family factors.Methods: The research design employed a cross-sectional approach. Seven (30%) public junior high schools in Tasikmalaya City were randomly selected as research locations. Of the 391 female students selected as research subjects using proportional random sampling, 367 successfully participated in the research and completed the data analysis. The food diversity variable was measured using the Individual Dietary Diversity Score (IDDS) instrument, based on the results of two 24-hour non-consecutive recall methods. Determinants were measured using a structured questionnaire. Bivariate analysis employed Spearman's rank and chi-squared tests, while multivariate analysis utilized logistic regression modeling.Results: Most participants had a non-diverse diet (78.8%). Green, leafy vegetables and vitamin A-rich fruits were food groups consumed by fewer than a third of the subjects. The results of statistical tests revealed that variables such as pocket money, screen time duration, maternal education, maternal employment status, and family income were significantly related to the dietary diversity of adolescent girls (p < 0.05).Conclusions: The length of time female adolescents spent in front of screens (screen time) was the most significant variable influencing the dietary diversity of female adolescents. Therefore, it is necessary to promote healthy snacks made from vegetables and fruit that can be consumed while engaging in activities in front of the screen.
