Abstract

Abstract: Currently, the distribution of zakat is usually carried out consumptively to meet the basic needs of mustahiq (zakat recipient). Consumptive zakat provides a short-term effect and a dependency effect for asnaf (mustahiq). Therefore, zakat institutions can begin to develop sustainable productive zakat schemes for the welfare of mustahiq. The research aims to design a program and implementation model for Indonesia’s Asnaf Entrepreneurship Program (AEP). This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive-analytical methods through literature studies. The AEP program is aimed for asnaf, who meets the criteria of people in need and people experiencing poverty but have the capability to run a bussiness, both physically and mentally. Furthermore, the asnaf are given business assistance by zakat institutions. Assistance can be in the form of a capital loan with a qardh contract,  while business assistance can be in the form of consulting, training, and monitoring to achieve a profitable and sustainable business. AEP is implemented using the concept of collaborative management. Several zakat institutions may build an AEP compartment to support AEP applications. Mustahiq also can create a community based on the type of business or place of residence. AEP implementation may be challenging but has potential, not only for the benefit of asnaf but also for its multiplier effect on the Indonesian economy.

Abstract

Purpose – This research is motivated by the discrepancy between theory and reality, where in theory it is said that when cash turnover and total asset turnover increase, net profit margin will increase and vice versa. This study aims to determine how cash turnover, total asset turnover and net profit margin at PT BJB Syariah for the period 2013-2022 and to find out how cash turnover and total asset turnover affect net profit margin at PT BJB Syariah for the period 2013-2022 partially and simultaneously.Methodology - This research uses quantitative methods using IBM SPSS Statistics 26 analysis tools with purposive sampling technique, based on appropriate considerations by taking into account the criteria with several limitations taken in this research. The data used in this study are secondary data in the form of quarterly financial reports of PT BJB Syariah for the period 2013-2022. The independent variables used are cash turnover and total asset turnover, and the dependent variable used is net profit margin. The tests carried out are by analyzing descriptive statistics, classical assumption test and multiple linear regression analysis. Findings - The results of this study indicate that partially cash turnover has a significant positive effect on net profit margin. Then total asset turnover has a significant negative effect on the net profit margin. While simultaneously cash turnover and total asset turnover have a significant positive effect on net profit margin. This research shows that BJBS needs to make strategy adjustments to increase profitability by considering asset management decisions and operational strategies. Keywords: Cash Turnover; Total Asset Turnover; Net Profit Margin

Abstract

Fair distribution of wealth is a manifestation of justice in Islam. In contrast to the pre-existing distributive justice theory, Islam regulates justice in a comprehensive way. The writing is processed using the literature study method obtained from various books, journals, and other related references. Distributive justice in the Islamic perspective is not related to the benefits that will be obtained in this world, but also in the hereafter. Islam demands maximizing benefit for the common good and minimizing harm. The concept offered by Islam is able to be a balancer as well as a solution for equality and justice in a social order.

Abstract

Women Farmers Group (KWT) plays an important role in supporting the progress of the agricultural sector. KWT Roay Lestari is a farmer women's group in Kahuripan Village, Tawang Subdistrict. KWT Roay Lestari focuses on processing and marketing processed agricultural products. However, limited resources and knowledge hinder the optimization of KWT's role. This empowerment aims to improve the welfare of KWT through better processing and marketing of farm products. The holistic approach to implementing empowerment includes skills development, working capital support, and marketing capacity building. Based on the results of the activities, a positive impact was obtained through increased skills and independence of KWT members in product processing and marketing. This program can be a replicated empowerment model in other areas to encourage food security and community economic welfare.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors influencing the intention to consume halal food and to assess its impact on physical well-being. The research is framed within the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), which includes constructs such as attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, religiosity, food safety, nutritional quality, and behavioral intention, along with their effects on individual physical well-being. The analysis employs Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). It is based on responses from 307 participants in Tasikmalaya, West Java. The main finding reveals that religiosity, food safety, and nutritional quality do not significantly influence a Muslim's choice to consume halal food. This implies that the behavior surrounding halal food consumption is not necessarily dependent on religious beliefs, food safety, or nutritional content. Nonetheless, halal food consumption behavior can substantially positively impact the physical well-being of Muslims. Public interest statements This research is important for society as it highlights the role of consuming halal food in promoting physical well-being. This finding is valuable for both consumers and food producers. It underscores the health benefits of consumers choosing halal food beyond religious reasons. For producers and policymakers, the research stresses the need to improve access to affordable halal food and promote its health benefits, potentially leading to healthier communities.

Abstract

Indonesia has great potential in the tourism sector, including halal tourism, such as in West Java. Technological developments and digitalization permeating various sectors can influence people's interest in traveling, including Generation Z. This study aims to analyze the factors affecting Generation Z's desire to visit halal tourism destinations in West Java. This study investigates the factors according to the Theory of Perceived Behavior or TPB (subjective norms, attitude towards behavior, and perceived behavioral control), spiritual considerations (religiosity), and digital promotion (electronic word-of-mouth). Furthermore, the study incorporates halal literacy as a moderating variable, assessing its impact on the TPB's influence on tourist intention to visit halal tourism destinations. This study employed an online questionnaire, collecting data from 219 respondents. The gathered data was subsequently analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that perceived behavioral control, electronic world-of-mouth, and halal literacy have a significant and positive effect on Generation Z's interest in visiting halal tourism destinations in West Java. However, subjective norms, attitudes toward behavior, and religiosity did not have a significant effect. Moreover, halal literacy also failed to moderate the relationship between TPB and behavioral intention in this study. A strategy is needed to develop halal literacy combined with online media tools to promote halal tourism in West Java.
