Abstract

Ecoprint is a fabric dyeing technique that utilizes natural materials such as leaves, flowers, and twigs to create unique patterns on fabric, promoting environmental sustainability. While this technique offers ecological benefits, the manual heating process used to fix the colors is often inconsistent and time-consuming. This research aims to develop a controlled heating system based on a minimum system to improve the efficiency and quality of ecoprint production. The system allows for precise temperature control at 90°C and automatic heating duration, ensuring stable temperatures and optimized time settings. The trial results indicate that the controlled heating system produces more consistent patterns, sharper colors, and reduces the risk of fabric damage compared to manual heating methods. Additionally, the system is capable of saving up to 20% in energy consumption and lowering operational costs. The implementation of this technology has a positive impact on the productivity of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), enhances product quality, and expands the market potential for ecoprint products. Therefore, this controlled heating technology not only improves production efficiency but also supports the sustainability of creative industries based on local wisdom and environmentally friendly practices

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Branding and Packaging on consumer purchasing decisions. In an era of increasingly tight market competition, factors such as brand image and packaging design play an important role in attracting consumer attention and influencing purchasing decisions. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey as a method of data collection. The population in this study were consumers of UMKM (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) Cahaya Rasa, Wringinsongo Village, Malang Regency. The number of samples in this study was 180 people using a purposive sampling technique. The data collected will be analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study show that Branding and Packaging have a significant role in influencing consumer purchasing decisions at UMKM Cahaya Rasa. The stronger the brand image that is built and the more attractive and informative the product packaging offered, the higher the likelihood of consumers making purchases.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a cross-reference procedure for cartographic and architectural archives at the Archival Service Unit (UPA Kearsipan) of Politeknik Negeri Malang (POLINEMA) to improve the efficiency of archival retrieval, which has previously been suboptimal. The research employed Action Research using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages, with archivists actively involved as research subjects. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, limited participant observation, and the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire. Qualitative data were analyzed descriptively, while quantitative data from the SUS were processed to obtain usability scores. The resulting procedure includes identifying needs, gathering key information, preparing and completing cross-reference cards, assigning identification numbers, creating metadata, and placing the cards. Implementation results indicated a significant improvement in archive retrieval, with an average SUS score of 76.6, classified as “good” in usability and “high” in acceptability. The procedure proved relevant, practical, and aligned with the operational needs of UPA Kearsipan POLINEMA. The study recommends continuous implementation, regular evaluation, and integration with digital systems, while suggesting future research to adapt the procedure for other archive types and explore technology-based cross-referencing for digital archives.

Abstract

Inactive archives are archives that are used infrequently but still have administrative, legal, or historical value, so they must be maintained properly. Management of inactive archives is important so that the stored information is maintained, easily found when needed, and does not cause accumulation that disrupts the efficiency of storage space. This study aims to describe in detail the management of inactive financial archives at the Population and Civil Registration Office (Dispendukcapil) of Malang City and identify the obstacles encountered in the process. The study used a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through direct observation of the archive room, interviews with archive management officers, and document reviews related to management procedures. The results showed that the number of inactive financial archives managed reached 13.4 linear meters. The management process includes the stages of transferring archives from work units to archival units, identifying the type and period of archives, position adjustment maneuvers, data input into a simple system, numbering, storage in archive boxes, labeling, and arranging boxes on storage shelves. Although the management procedures are running, the study found a major obstacle in the form of the absence of an Archive Retention Schedule (JRA) specifically for financial archives. This prevents the archives reduction process from being carried out legally and in a planned manner, resulting in a buildup of archives, which reduces storage capacity and potentially makes information retrieval difficult. This study recommends the development of a Financial Archives Retention Schedule (JRA) specifically for financial archives that complies with statutory provisions and agency needs, so that the reduction process can be carried out systematically, efficiently, and accountably. The implementation of the JRA is also expected to improve the effectiveness of archives management and support public service performance at the Malang City Population and Civil Registration Office (Dispendukcapil).
