Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the content of the digital comic strips for learning interpersonal and transactional text at Junior High School levels. The research was conducted based on the research questions: (1) How is the suitability of the digital comic strips used for grade 8 Junior High School in terms of the content of the interpersonal and transactional text? (2) How do the digital comic strips meet the criteria of digital learning material? The research used qualitative content analysis the instrument of which was adapted from the Indonesia Minister of Education and Culture Indonesia Syllabus and three Digital Learning Material Framework. The data was sourced from the digital comic strips uploaded on social media and comic strips web. It was revealed that 95% of all of the digital comic strips already have the language features that the Indonesia Education and Culture Minister stated on the syllabus, also accomplish the digital material learning criteria from accessibility and content by The National Center for Accessible Educational Resources (AEM), PRIMO (Peer-Reviewed Instructional Materials Online) Selection Criteria, and Petri Nokelainen. The findings revealed promising future to use digital comic strips as an instructional reading materials.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the importance of integrating local wisdom into Social Studies (IPS) education at the elementary school level as one of the efforts to build a culture-loving character in students. Local wisdom, which encompasses cultural values, traditions, and local knowledge, has great potential to enrich the learning material and strengthen the nation's cultural identity. Through various strategies, such as the use of local wisdom-based learning media, project-based approaches, and the development of contextual learning resources, IPS education can connect theory with students' everyday life practices. This integration not only helps students understand social, economic, and cultural concepts more deeply but also fosters pride and love for their own culture. Although there are some challenges in its implementation, such as teachers' limited understanding and a lack of resources, efforts to integrate local wisdom can be achieved through collaboration between teachers, communities, and cultural experts. Thus, teaching based on local wisdom will support the strengthening of the nation's character, grounded in the noble values of Indonesian culture.

Abstract

This study analyzes the types and contributions of deixis in The Greatest Showman (2017) movie script using Levinson’s (1983) theory. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected by examining the movie script and classifying deixis into five categories: person, time, place, discourse, and social deixis. The findings indicate that person deixis is the most dominant type, appearing 619 times (65%), followed by place deixis (11%), social deixis (9%), discourse deixis (8%), and time deixis (7%). The study highlights the role of deixis in understanding contextual meaning in language use. Moreover, deixis analysis in movies can enhance English language learning by providing contextualized examples of pragmatic expressions. This study suggests that future research compare deixis usage in different movie genres to deepen the understanding of deixis functions in communication.

Abstract

Perilaku manajemen keuangan merupakan suatu disiplin ilmu yang di dalamnya melekat interaksi berbagai disiplin ilmu dan secara terus menerus berintegrasi sehingga pembahasannya tidak dilakukan isolasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti secara empiris pengaruh financial literacy dan pendapatan terhadap perilaku manajemen keuangan pelaku lapak UMKM Kecamatan Kartoharjo, Kota Madiun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan sampel data primer berjumlah 117 pelaku UMKM lapak inovasi Pemerintah Kota Madiun tahun 2020 - 2022. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda dan uji asumsi klasik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku manajemen keuangan berpengaruh secara positif signifikan terhadap financial literacy pelaku lapak inovasi Pemerintah Kota Madiun tahun 2020 - 2022. Pendapatan berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap perilaku manajemen keuangan pelaku lapak inovasi Pemerintah Kota Madiun tahun 2020 - 2022. Hasil penelitian secara simultan menujukkan bahwa financial literacy dan pendapatan berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap perilaku manajemen keuangan pelaku lapak inovasi Pemerintah Kota Madiun tahun 2020-2022.

Abstract

Porang termasuk umbi-umbian dengan kandungan glukomanan yang tinggi, dimana glukomanan dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan pangan dan bermanfaat bagi kesehatan. Sebagai bahan pangan, tepung porang dapat diolah menjadi konyaku yaitu makanan tradisional Jepang yang memilki tekstur seperti jeli dan dikonsumsi oleh vegetarian sebagai pengganti daging. Dengan demikian, perlu dilakukan penambahan sumber nutrisi pada proses pembuatannya yaitu dengan menambahkan tepung tempe yang kaya akan protein. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi tepung tempe terbaik terhadap karakteristik fisik, kimia, dan organoleptik konyaku kaya protein. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan satu faktor yaitu penambahan tepung tempe. Parameter yang diamati meliputi parameter fisik (tekstur), parameter kimia (kadar air, kadar abu, dan kadar protein) dan parameter organoleptik (tekstur, warna, rasa, dan aroma). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung tempe memberikan pengaruh yang berbeda nyata terhadap kadar air, kadar lemak, kadar protein, dan rasa (skoring), namun tidak berbeda nyata terhadap kadar abu, kadar serat kasar, uji tekstur, warna (skoring dan hedonik), aroma (skoring dan hedonik), rasa (hedonik), dan tekstur (skoring dan hedonik). Penambahan tepung tempe sebanyak 25% (P5) merupakan perlakuan terbaik, diperoleh parameter kimia kadar air sebesar 90,62%, kadar abu sebesar 0,16%, kadar lemak sebesar 1,27%, kadar serat kasar sebesar 1,69%, dan kadar protein sebesar 2,28%; mutu fisik berupa tekstur agak kenyal dengan hasil uji sebesar 1,02 N; berwarna cokelat muda, sedikit aroma tempe, dan sedikit ada rasa tempe

Abstract

Jurnal ini mengeksplorasi peran vital pendidikan kewarganegaraan dalam pembentukan karakter anak Sekolah Dasar (SD). Fokus utama adalah memahami hubungan yang kuat antara pembelajaran kewarganegaraan dan perkembangan nilai, sikap, dan perilaku positif pada anak-anak. Melalui tinjauan literatur, observasi, dan wawancara, penelitian ini menyoroti nilai-nilai demokrasi, hak dan kewajiban, serta keberagaman sebagai elemen kunci pendidikan kewarganegaraan. Temuan penelitian menggambarkan dampak positif pendidikan kewarganegaraan terhadap pengembangan karakter siswa SD. Implikasi temuan ini disusun untuk memberikan kontribusi pada perbaikan model pendidikan kewarganegaraan dan memandu pendekatan yang holistik dalam mendukung pertumbuhan karakter siswa. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya kerjasama antara sekolah, guru, dan orang tua dalam menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang mendukung perkembangan karakter yang positif pada anak-anak SD.
