Abstract

Objective: Aging is a physiological process that will reduces the function of all organs, among other the musculoskeletal system that cause decreased muscle strenght. Under less of the muscle strenght will reduces activities and mobilization ability. Isometric and Range Of Motion (ROM) exercise is efficient alternative exercise for the elder who will begin the exercise program. This study was aimed to explain the difference of effectiveness between isometric and ROM exercise toward elderly muscle strenghtMaterial and methods: This study used to Pre Test and Post Test Design with time period approach involved 36 respondents, taken by purposive sampling. They were divided in to 2 groups; one group of 18 respondents underwent isometric exercise and the other group of 18 respondents did ROM exercise. Data were collected by checklist. Data were analyzed using Mann Whitney Test with level of significance α ≤ 0,05.Result:  Based on the result of research there were 8 (44,4%) respondents who had increased muscle strength after did isometric exercise, and were 14 (77,8%) respondents who had ones with ROM exercise. The analysis result using Mann Whitney Test showed p = 0,044 it means that H0 is rejected, so there are difference of effectiveness between isometric and Range Of Motion (ROM) exercise toward elderly muscle strenght. Range Of Motion (ROM) exercise was proven more effective to increase elderly muscle strenght who have normal movement, while isometric exercise was recommended to maintain muscle strength for the elderly who get the injured extremity and contraindications to do movement. Conclusion:  It can be used as a program to create healthy elderly and using optimally their time to do better things, such as doing ROM and isometric exercise.

Abstract

Immunization or immunity against disease threats is the main goal of vaccination. In essence, immunity can be possessed passively or actively. Both can be obtained naturally or artificially (Ranuh, 2008). Therefor it is necessary to do immunization to prevent disease attacks that affect the nutritional status of children. This activity was carried out on Wednesday, May 20 2020 at 09.00-10.00 at the Posyandu in the village of Kedungjambe Singgahan using the lecture and question and answer method using leaflet media. From the results of the Health Education carried out, it was found that the awareness of parents to give immunizations to their children was quite good, but there were some parents (mothers) who sometimes ignored the immunization schedule so that sometimes it was too late to give immunizations to children. Immunization is an effort to provide immunity to infants and children and pregnant women against certain diseases. Immunization of children under five at the Posyandu in Kedungjambe Singgahan village is generally quite good and most of them have met the immunization schedule, only a few mothers are sometimes late to give immunizations

Abstract

Breastfeeding is more than just generating healthy breast milk. It is a cooperative activity involving both parties. This study examined how ligature ties affect primiparous women's ability to nurse their babies after giving birth. This type of research is cross-sectional. The study sample consisted of 144 primiparous postpartum women whose children were aged between 0 and three months. The entire sample employed in this study consisted of 106 primiparous postpartum women, selected by a combination of simple random sampling and probability. Questionnaires were used to collect data on attachment factors and breastfeeding success. A correlation value of r=0.437 was obtained, indicating a very positive association between the two variables, and the results demonstrated a significance level of ≤0.05. This correlation implies that effective nursing is mostly dependent on the mother and infant developing strong emotional attachment. These results further emphasize the importance of providing primiparous postpartum mothers with sufficient assistance and direction to enhance their bonding and breastfeeding experiences. Teaching caregivers and medical professionals the value of emotional connection and how it affects nursing outcomes are also essential. Given the established link between effective nursing and emotional attachment, healthcare providers can provide customized interventions and support to improve mother-child bonds throughout the postpartum phase.

Abstract

Women are considered to be the most common recipients of contraceptive methods. This study aimed to determine the most influential factors in family planning behavior among women in Samarinda, Indonesia. This study used a cross-sectional design and involved 384 women of childbearing age in the area of Samarinda Primary Health Care. Data were collected using a questionnaire to measure education, income, culture, parity, health workers, and family support for family planning. All variables were categorized and the data were analyzed using binary logistic regression. The significance level was set at 0.05. The study showed that generally respondents have good family planning behaviour (228 respondents; 59.4%) while parity, family support and culture are good in contraceptive use. It is presented that culture support (p=0.004; OR=2.081) become the most dominant factor of contraceptive use behaviour after controlled by education (p=0.047; OR=1.574), income (p=0.043; OR=0.632), parity (p=0.011; OR=0.575) and family support (p=0.025; OR=0.518). Women with a supporting culture will have better contraceptive use behavior than women who do not after controlling for education, income, parity, and family support. It is expected that harmonizing culture with health programs can encourage people to improve their health behaviors.

Abstract

Telemedicine has become a vital tool in delivering healthcare services, particularly in rural areas with limited access. This study aims to socialize the benefits of telemedicine to pregnant women and healthcare workers in Tuban Regency, focusing on its potential in maternity care. A socialization program was conducted with 50 participants, including 20 healthcare workers and 30 pregnant women. The program included presentations, demonstrations, and practical training on telemedicine use for maternity care. Knowledge and usage were evaluated before and after the program through surveys. The socialization resulted in a significant knowledge increase, with 80% of pregnant women and 90% of healthcare workers reporting improved understanding of telemedicine. Furthermore, 65% of pregnant women and 75% of healthcare workers began utilizing telemedicine for consultations. However, 28% of participants faced technical challenges, such as internet connectivity and device limitations. Additionally, 72% of participants expressed interest in further training. The program successfully enhanced knowledge and confidence in using telemedicine. Despite technical barriers, adoption rates were encouraging, underscoring the need for ongoing training and enhanced digital infrastructure to facilitate the broader adoption of telemedicine in rural healthcare. Socializing telemedicine in Tuban has proven effective in raising awareness and encouraging adoption. However, addressing technical barriers and providing ongoing education are essential for maximizing its impact on maternity care.
