Abstract

The growth rate and mortality rate of giant prawns (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) in the Kuala Cenaku River, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province were carried out based on carapace length frequency data collected from May to July 2020. This study aims at the growth rate and mortality of giant prawns in the Kuala Cenaku River. For estimating dynamic population, data were analysed by using FiSAT II. The growth parameter of tiger shrimp was 0,78/year with carapace asymptotic length (L ) of 84,8 mm, total mortality rate (Z), natural mortality rate (M), fishing mortality rate (F) were 2,35/year and 1,16/year, 1,19/year, respectively, while and exploitation rate (E) estimated 0,50. The exploitation rate of Tiger Freshwater Prawn in Kuala Cenaku River was fully exploited and tend to overexploited so that it needed to manage wisely and carefully

Abstract

Kata Kunci: Epanet 2.2, Lhokseumawe, Pipa transmisi, IPA Muara Satu - Rancong Abstract The rapid population growth and the rate of development of various sectors and fields in an area have an impact on the large demand for clean water. Lhokseumawe City has several problems in meeting the supply of clean water, such as the water being distributed is not sufficient to meet the needs of the community and the continuity of clean water is not maintained. This study aims to determine the dimensions of the pipe, the value of the hydraulic parameters of the transmission pipe, and the sufficient supply of clean water in Lhokseumawe City. The simulation of transmission pipe network with the Epanet 2.2 software, and compare with manual calculations on several pipes. The optimal result of modeling water demand are the diameter of HDPE transmission pipe Ø560 mm and the total pipe length from the Krueng Mane River intake reservoir to the Muara Satu – Rancong WTP Reservoir, which is 22 km. Needs 3 pumps and 2 valves of the PRV type and PSV type, with reference to the design specifications for the water transmission pipe. The optimal calculation results show that the flow velocity is 1.82 m/s, the power loss is 3.54 m/km, the friction coefficient is 0.012, the flow rate is 449.42 l/s, so that it is sufficient for water needs in Lhokseumawe City. Abstract

Hypertension and diabetes mellitus are degenerative diseases. Degenerative diseases arise when body cell function declines from a normal to a worse state. Degenerative diseases are still the world's leading cause of death. Overweight or obesity, along with unhealthy lifestyle choices such as consuming low-nutrient instant foods, foods containing preservatives, artificial sweeteners and colorings, and foods high in saturated fat and sodium, are the main causes of this disease. Other factors that contribute to degenerative diseases include high levels of pollution, smoking habits, and excessive alcohol consumption. Therefore, the Community Service Team from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Semangat Dalam Village is conducting community service activities. The team will employ methods such as socialization, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. The outcomes will help overcome the participants' lack of knowledge regarding the safe and proper ways to obtain, use, store, and dispose of medications.
