Abstract

Ijime adalah sebuah fenomena yang terbentuk akibat ditemukannya fenomena seseorang yang mem-bully dan seseorang yang menjadi korban dari ijime tersebut. Di Jepang, ijime menjadi salah satu masalah serius dalam dunia pendidikan sejak tahun 1970-an dan alasan utamanya dilatarbelakangi oleh kenaikan angka persentase bunuh diri anak usia sekolah. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada persentase jumlah kasus ijime yang terjadi pada setiap tahunnya dan juga berdasarkan dari bentuk ijime sekolah yang sering dilaporkan ke media massa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk bunuh diri yang diakibatkan oleh ijime pada anak SMP di Jepang, memaparkan alasan kasus bunuh diri akibat ijime yang banyak terjadi pada anak SMP di Jepang, dan memaparkan penyebab perilaku ijime yang mengakibatkan bunuh diri pada anak SMP di Jepang. Peneliti menggunakan teori strukturisasi yang dikemukakan oleh Anthony Giddens dalam menganalisis tindakan anak yang di-bully atau mendapat perlakuan ijime yang menyebabkan keinginan untuk melakukan tindakan bunuh diri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode kajian pustaka. Dari hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa ijime lebih banyak terjadi pada anak-anak di kalangan SMP, karena masa SMP adalah suatu masa anak-anak mulai menginjak usia remaja dan para korban ijime lebih banyak melakukan tindakan bunuh diri dengan cara menggantung diri dan terjun dari atas atap apartemen. Jenis bunuh diri yang banyak terjadi pada kasus ini adalah bunuh diri anomik dan jenis bunuh diri yang paling sedikit terjadi pada kasus ini adalah bunuh diri egoistik dan bunuh diri anomik, dan para korbannya banyak meninggalkan surat (suicide note) sebelum melakukan bunuh diri. Abstract

Kanji learning is difficult if the teaching medium used is not interesting and relevant to technological advances. This research aims to describe the stages in developing middle-level Kanji teaching media with the help of Instagram social media to increase students' interest in learning middle-level Kanji. The research subjects were students studying Kanji in the third semester of the Japanese Language Education Study Program at FKIP, Riau University. The method used in this development research is the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. In this research, development was only carried out until the teaching media design stage. Teaching materials for 45 intermediate-level kanji were uploaded to an Instagram account. Each post contains one kanji accompanied by a mnemonic illustration, the meaning of the kanji, how to read onyomi, how to read kunyomi, a video of the writing sequence, and is equipped with examples of vocabulary and the application of the kanji in simple sentences. The results of the development of teaching media in this research were: 1) analysis found that the average score of students was low because the teaching media was less interesting and difficult to remember. 2) produce an Instagram-based teaching media design containing illustrations and video tutorials related to Kanji teaching with interesting visualizations. The conclusion of the research is that the presence of interesting visual-based teaching media and the help of social media such as Instagram are needed to increase understanding of intermediate-level Kanji teaching material. Keywords: Kanji, intermediate level, teaching media, Instagram, development.   Abstrak Pembelajaran Kanji sulit dilakukan jika media ajar yang digunakan kurang menarik dan relevan dengan kemajuan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tahap-tahap dalam pengembangan media ajar Kanji level menengah berbantuan media sosial Instagram untuk meningkatkan minat peserta didik dalam pembelajaran Kanji level menengah. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik yang menempuh pembelajaran Kanji di semester tiga Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang di FKIP Universitas Riau. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian pengembangan ini adalah model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahapan yaitu analisis (analyze), desain (design), pengembangan (develop), implementasi (implement) dan evaluasi (evaluate). Pada penelitian ini pengembangan baru dilaksanakan hingga tahap desain media ajar. Materi ajar sebanyak 45 Kanji level menengah diunggah ke sebuah akun Instagram. Setiap post memuat satu Kanji dilengkapi dengan ilustrasi mnemonik, makna Kanji, cara baca on’yomi, cara baca kunyomi, video urutan penulisan serta dilengkapi dengan contoh kosakata dan penerapan Kanji tersebut dalam kalimat sederhana. Hasil dari pengembangan media ajar pada penelitian ini adalah 1) ditemukannya analisis bahwa nilai rata-rata peserta didik rendah karena media ajar yang kurang menarik hingga sulit diingat. 2) dihasilkannya desain media ajar berbasis Instagram yang berisi ilustrasi dan video tutorial terkait pengajaran Kanji yang visualisasinya menarik. Simpulan dari penelitian adalah bahwa diperlukan kehadiran media ajar berbasis visual menarik serta bantuan media sosial seperti Instagram untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dengan terhadap materi ajar Kanji level menengah.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted to understand the Yamagata dialect and its differences within the standard Japanese language. The research employed a qualitative and descriptive method. The data source was derived from the Hougen Manual posters published by the Yamagata Prefecture Elderly Welfare Facility Council, General Incorporated Association. Data collection methods included observation, listening, and note-taking. The research findings revealed 19 pieces of data within the Yamagata dialect, indicating that the dialect exhibits several lexical differences, particularly in the use of verbs, when compared to other dialects in the Tohoku region. The results demonstrated that verb variations became a distinctive feature that sets the Yamagata dialect apart from other dialects. Nevertheless, the Yamagata dialect also displayed some similarities with the standard Japanese language, especially in terms of gokan (vocabulary) and gobi (particles), which could be found in specific words.Key words: Dialect, Yamagata, Morphology, Lexical, Hougen Manual

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to discuss about metaphors withnatural elements in Aimer's songs lyrics. The method that used in this research isdescriptive qualitative method. The data source of this research comes from the songsthat sung by Aimer in her albums entitiled ‘Walpuris’ and ‘After Dark’. The naturemetaphors that founds in Aimer's songs lyrics are three types of conceptual metaphors,namely structural metaphor, orientational metaphor, and ontologikal metaphor. Thereare also several image schemes used in each nature metaphor, first in the word raime‘rumbling’ has an identity image scheme that namely the similarity of thecharacteristic between rumbling and a loud sound, second in the word hoshikuzu nonaka ‘in stardust’ has a unity/multiplicity image scheme that namely the number ofstars that cannot be counted, and third in the word kaze ‘wind’ which has an existenceimage scheme namely the existence of an object namely the wind.Keywords: Metaphor, Nature, Aimer

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to explore differences in the implementation of theoosouji tradition, or "Great Cleansing," between the older and younger generations inJapan today. Oosouji is a traditional Japanese ritual that is related to Shinto beliefs. In practice, Oosouji is a thorough cleaning of the house which is carried out at the end of every year by Japanese people. Implementation is carried out at the end of the year in December. Based on questionnaire data, there are differences in the implementation of oosouji between the younger generation and the older generation in Japan today. Older respondents tend to still follow the ritual wholeheartedly compared to younger respondents. The elderly are considered to be more enthusiastic about doing oosouji and tend to throw away unused items. On the other hand, the younger generation tends to sell items they no longer use. This difference is influenced by several factors, such as the level of belief in Shinto, busyness, and the lifestyle of living alone which is now being adopted by many young people. However, there were also respondents who stated that oosouji would still continue in the future, although its implementation might vary depending on the region and the level of people's trust in Shinto. Using a qualitative approach in the form of a questionnaire, this research collected data from elderly and young respondents in various regions in Japan. The results showed significant differences in the way oosouji was carried out, the time spent, the areas of the house cleaned, and the meaning and values attached to the tradition between the two generations.Key words: Oosouji, Japanese traditions, elderly generation, younger generation,cultural differences, Shinto beliefs

Abstract: This research aims to describe the function of shuujoshi yo containedin the animated television series Ore, Tsushima. This research is a qualitativedescriptive research using descriptive methods and using library techniques and notetakingtechniques. The data source was taken from the animated television series Ore,Tsushima. The results of the research can be concluded that there are 22 shuujoshi yoin the form of dialogue and narrative sentences in the animated television series Ore,Tsushima. The function of shuujoshi yo is found to be 'conveying something that thelistener is not aware of or does not know', complementing the speaker's own uncertainknowledge with the listener's information', 'refuting the interlocutor's difference ofopinion with himself', and 'demanding sentences in which contains commands,prohibitions, requests and invitations'.Key words: Function, Shuujoshi yo, Translation

Abstract

Abstract: This research analyzes the use of metaphor in the song Go Go Yuureisen by Kenshi Yonezu using a cognitive linguistic approach. The main focus of the study is the identification and classification of conceptual metaphors based on Lakoff and Johnson's theory, as well as image schema analysis using Croft and Cruse's theory. The research results show that in song lyrics there are three types of conceptual metaphors, namely structural, orientational and ontological metaphors. In addition, seven image schemes were identified, namely power, container, color, space, connecting, part-whole, and existence schemes. In-depth analysis of several metaphors, such as “Love is also an endless sight” and “Little soldiers spin sounds,” reveals how human sensorimotor experiences are translated into abstract concepts through the relationship between the source domain and the target domain. For example, the journey schema is used to visualize love as a continuous process, while the agency and action schema depict creativity as an active struggle. This research highlights how metaphors and imagery schemes in songs can build a deep understanding of life experiences, emotions and human struggles, as well as offering insight into the artistic richness of language use. Abstract

Abstract: This study analyzes the moral values contained in the film Harakiri (1962) by Masaki Kobayashi, focusing on its critique of the Japanese feudal system. The film highlights the story of Hanshiro Tsugumo, a ronin who questions the concepts of honor and justice within a rigid feudal society. Using a descriptive qualitative analysis method, this study identifies and examines key moral values such as justice, humanity, social responsibility, and criticism of the hypocrisy within the feudal system. The analysis reveals that Harakiri not only questions bushido as a moral guide but also exposes the injustices and powerlessness of individuals under an inhumane social hierarchy. The film suggests that true honor does not come from blind obedience to rules but from the courage to uphold human values. Thus, this research contributes to the understanding of social criticism in Japanese cinema, particularly concerning moral values that stand in opposition to a repressive social system.Key Words: Moral Values, Bushido, Feudalism, Harakiri, Social Criticism
