Abstract

CV. Ciharuman Laundry is a pants dyeing services industry. Company’s production process often defect produce. The consequences of the action defect product will have an impact on increasing production costs. One of dominant defect is not equal coloring for about 19,8%. The method used to reduce the percentage of defects is the six sigma concept (DMAIC). To find out the cause of the defect is analysis by using a casual diagram and FMEA conclusion the dominant cause is not right a compare coloring agent, water and temperature on the washing process, so improvements needed to the process with implementation of experiment Taguchi. Implementation stage of experiment divided into 3, that is first experiment which is actual condition of company right now, second experiment was done using Taguchi settings on an orthogonal array L8(27), and third experiment which was the result of confirmation experiment. The result of experiment obtained optimal settings for do the washing process temperature is 100°C, dose of the drug is 8 kilograms and the water ratio is 400 liters. The confirmation result of 120 sample by 24 attempts optimal settings proved to be able to reduce percentage of defect by 79%.

Abstract

PT. Cresco Indonesia is one of the companies that concerned in the Japanese slipper sandals industry in West Java, which was established in 1989. In order to responses to demanding costumer, PT. Cresco Indonesia applies ‘make to order’ strategy, so the production process will be carried out if there are any orders from consumers. The company has 13 departments. Based on observations has known that there are 4 departments that have a potential to cause an accidents work, they are the happo department, the shiage department, the quality control department and the packing department. The beginning measurements of RULA and REBA out of four departments show the results of high risk action levels. To improve the situation, work system improvements must be made. This study intends to improve the body's posture and work system currently, so that the design of tools for the movement of baskets in the shiage and quality control departments, grouping and labeling in baskets in the happo department as well as improve the order of the process of lifting goods in the packing department. Work system improvement is carried out using biomechanics theory. The final result of the design shows the value of RULA and REBA of operators is low risk, minimizes the value of defects in the happo department, reduces the activities of finding baskets in the happo department, minimizes the time of movement from the shiage department to the quality control department, improves the way of lifting goods in the packing department and fix up the posture of the operators

Abstract

ABSTRACT A warranty is an agreement between a manufacturer and a consumer that guarantees the quality of a product for a certain period or period of use. There is a warranty, products that are defective before the warranty period expires will be replaced or repaired by the manufacturer. From the consumer's perspective, a warranty serves as a guarantee of protection against a product failing or not performing as expected and also as a provider of information about the quality of the product. From the manufacturer's perspective, warranties provide benefits by protecting the manufacturer from excessive consumer complaints. This study aims to determine the estimated warranty costs for “X” brand truck products sold by PT ABC using the best time scale method. The policy implemented by the company is a two-way warranty policy, specifically a warranty policy for automobile products for a period of 3 years or 100,000 km, whichever comes first. The purpose of this study is to perform estimates for branded heavy goods vehicles. The estimated parameters of the truck damage model were obtained using the maximum likelihood method. With the Golden Section algorithm, the resulting parameter is ∈0 = 0.35125 with a minimum variance coefficient obtained of 0.7427391 and a guarantee limit at L= 5.4588. The K distribution of the best fitting time scale is an exponential distribution with parameter λ = 0.964902. The estimated warranty cost for truck brand “X” in company “ABC” using the best time scale method produces a cost of IDR 958,949,134. Abstract

COVID-19 has spread rapidly in places where people interact socially, with aerosol transmission being a significant concern, especially in enclosed spaces where infected individuals spend extended periods with others in crowded and poorly ventilated conditions. The use of masks is a preventive measure against the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19. Concerns have been raised that carbon dioxide may accumulate in masks over time, potentially leading to respiratory issues and other problems such as impaired concentration at work. This research aims to conduct an experiment to study concentration based on the physical work environment, including factors such as room temperature, Body Mass Index (BMI), duration of mask use, and age. Concentration will be measured through reaction time, which includes visual, auditory, and motor components, using a factorial design method. The results of the study indicate a significant relationship between the concentration, represented by the reaction time of the respondents, and several factors: temperature, BMI, age of the respondents, and type of reaction (visual, auditory, and motor). Based on factorial analysis, it can be concluded that temperature, age, BMI, and type of reaction all influence reaction time at a significance level of 5%.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membantu memenuhi kebutuhan darah di rumah sakit serta meningkatkan kesadaran sosial mahasiswa dan masyarakat sekitar melalui program donor darah kolaboratif. Kegiatan diselenggarakan oleh Program Studi Teknik Industri Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani (Unjani) bekerja sama dengan Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) Kota Bandung. Tahapan pelaksanaan meliputi koordinasi dengan PMI, sosialisasi kepada calon pendonor, skrining kesehatan, dan pelaksanaan donor darah di kampus. Dari 103 calon pendonor yang mendaftar, sebanyak 80 orang memenuhi syarat kesehatan. Hasilnya, terkumpul 81 kantong darah yang didistribusikan oleh PMI kepada pasien yang membutuhkan. Kegiatan ini mendapat antusiasme tinggi dari mahasiswa dan menjadi sarana pembelajaran dalam manajemen kegiatan serta pengabdian masyarakat. Meskipun terdapat tantangan seperti calon pendonor yang tidak lolos skrining dan keterbatasan waktu, kegiatan ini menunjukkan pentingnya kolaborasi antara perguruan tinggi dan institusi eksternal serta mendukung implementasi Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. Dengan evaluasi berkala, program ini berpotensi menjadi kegiatan rutin yang berkelanjutan dan berdampak luas.

Abstract

Pengolahan makanan bersih merupakan hal penting dalam menentukan kualitas makanan, dimana pedagang makanan kaki lima sebagai salah satu pelaku harus memperhatikan aspek kebersihan penjamah makanan agar tidak menyebabkan timbulnya masalah kesehatan akibat kualitas makanan yang kurang baik. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku penjamahan makanan pada pedagang kaki lima di lingkungan kampusUNJANI Bandung, Kelurahan Kebon Kangkung dan Sukapura, Kota Bandung, tahun 2022. Partisipan dalam kegiatan berjumlah 50 responden. Data awal menunjukkan bahwa responden memiliki praktik hygiene kategori tidak memahami dengan kriteria jawaban di bawah 6 (enam) betul dari sepuluh pertanyaan sebanyak 37 responden, tingkat pengetahuan baik dengan kriteria minimal 6 (enam) jawaban yang betul dari 10 (sepuluh) yaitu 13 responden. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa pelatihan agar responden mempunyai pengetahuan dan kesadaran mengolah makanan yang hygiene penjamah makanan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman responden dengan kriteria jawaban minimal 6 (enam) dari sepuluh pertanyaan sejumlah 43 atau sebesar 86% dari total responden yang mengikuti pelatihan. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode perbandingan Paired-T. Hasil dari pengujian menggunakan metode Paired-T menunjukkan tingkat signifikansi kurang dari 0.000 yang berarti pelatihan memberikan perubahan pemahaman responden menjadi lebih baik mengenai pengolahan makanan dengan cara yang higienis.

Abstract

Sampah adalah buangan yang dihasilkan dari suatu proses produksi baik domestik (rumah tangga) maupun industri. Permasalahan sampah yang terjadi saat ini banyak diakibatkan oleh kegiatan produksi dan konsumsi yang dilakukan oleh manusia. Aktivitas yang dapat dilakukan untuk meminimalisir permasalahan sampah adalah dengan melakukan pengelolaan sampah sejak dari sumbernya. Pengelolaan sampah yang tidak baik dapat berdampak bagi manusia dan lingkungan yaitu bisa menyebabkan di antaranya kerusakan ekologis, menyebabkan penyakit, menyebabkan terjadinya banjir, menyebabkan bau tidak sedap/bau busuk, dan menyebabkan terganggunya estetik suatu daerah. Penerapan konsep 3R (reduce, reuse, dan recycle) dapat mengurangi volume sampah dan memberikan nilai tambah bagi masyarakat. Sampah organik dapat dikumpulkan dan diolah menjadi pupuk kompos, pakan ternak, hingga menjadi biogas, sedangkan sampah non organik dapat didaur ulang atau dijadikan bahan untuk kerajinan. Masih banyak masyarakat yang belum memahami pengelolaan sampah dengan baik salah satunya adalah masyarakat Kelurahan Kebon Kangkung. Oleh sebab itu, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah dengan melakukan sosialisasi dan edukasi kepada masyarakat guna memberikan pemahaman untuk mengelola dan mengolah sampah dengan baik terutama untuk sampah rumah tangga.

Abstract

Lot sizing techniques have been widely analyzed by experts, because ordering costs, storage costs, and lot sizes have a significant impact on the total cost of ordering. This study uses lot sizing techniques including Wagner-Whitin algorithm, Silver-Meal algorithm, Least Unit Cost, Least Total Cost, Part Period Balancing, Period Order Quantity, Groff algorithm, and Lot for Lot. The data used is taken from a chemical raw material procurement company, including ordering and storage costs. The initial analysis concluded that the Silver-Meal algorithm and the Groff algorithm have relative biases that are close to the Wagner-Whitin algorithm. The second analysis concluded that for the lot sizing technique, the calculated F value (84.3) was greater than the F table value (2.1), indicating a significant effect of the lot sizing technique on the relative bias percentage. Furthermore, the demand analysis shows that the calculated F value (80.0) is greater than the F table value (2.6), indicating a significant influence of the demand on the percentage relative bias
