Abstract

Abstract

Multicultural is like two blades, one side make our nation rich in cultural treasures, but on the other hand, is prone to cause conflicts, disputes and conflict. One of the efforts to strengthen national resilience is developing character education. Implementation of character education through intercultural understanding must see three aspects namely: paradigm shift, material education and learning methods. One way to bring character education into a solid curriculum is to make it part of the language program by instilling character learning through reading and language arts through high quality literature. As an international class representation of the scope of the department of religion that produces religious students and masters science and technology (IPTEKS) Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Insan Cendikia (MAN IC) Palu, South Sulawesi, Indonesia was chosen as a place to conduct research in character development interculturalists through teaching literary works both in learning English (as a foreign language or English as Foreign Language / EFL). This study uses a questionnaire based inquiry approach to the statistical survey method in three different sample groups of students. The group of students that became the sample covered a different age range aged 13-15 years in three groups. After the introduction of numbers in ten questions about whether students and the public need literary works in English to get to know the culture of the target language and to know the intercultural character, the number obtained is 100% YES. The values contained in English literature are the highest choices of the three groups namely strength of character (heroic), honest and truth. The second highest reason chosen was due to aesthetic or beauty. In the interview session heroic literary works (action) occupy the highest number of literary works of their choice. In contrast, values, opinions and perspectives, among cultures, are not represented. It is concluded that Intercultural Character Model very much needed.

Abstract

"Avatar: The Way of Water" is a highly anticipated sequel in James Cameron's groundbreaking franchise, promising a deeper exploration of environmental themes intertwined with indigenous cultures. This study employs eco-critical analysis, augmented by AI insights, to investigate into the intricate connections between environmentalism and Islamic perspectives within the narrative. By examining the movie's portrayal of nature, spirituality, and socio-political dynamics, this study aims to uncover underlying themes that resonate with Islamic environmental ethics. Through the lens of AI-assisted analysis, the researchers unveil nuanced layers of interpretation, shedding light on the movie's potential to inspire meaningful dialogue on environmental stewardship and cultural sustainability. The researchers examine the symbiotic ecology and its hypothetical biology, which is proposed to be "better" than the metal-based technology used by the 'invading' humanity. It challenges the idealized notion of nature as a collection of native animals, plants, and people. Lastly, this study explores the different anthropocentric themes that the movie explores, criticizes the Na'vi's subtly "humanistic" domination over other fauna, and explores the prospects of embracing a truly impartial perspective to capture the realities of oppressed not humans.

Abstract

Health issues that often occur during pregnancy include anemia, Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED), and obesity; risk factors such as closely spaced pregnancies, multiple pregnancies/twins, obstetric complications, non-communicable and communicable diseases, and mental health issues need more attention because they significantly impact overall health. One of the indicators of public health status is the maternal mortality rate and infant mortality rate. The higher the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and infant mortality in a country, the worse the health status of that country is likely to be. This case report aims to provide midwifery care for pregnant women in Gampong Lampreh Lamteungoh, Ingin Jaya Subdistrict, Aceh Besar District, and to document it in the SOAP format. The first care was conducted on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, and after data collection, it was found that the mother had no complaints. The examination results were within normal limits. The data analysis indicated G1P0A0 at 27 weeks and 1 day of pregnancy, with both mother and fetus in good condition. Midwifery guidance was provided regarding recommendations for nutritious food, adequate water intake, sufficient rest, a continuation of iron supplement tablets, health education on discomfort during pregnancy, and visiting health facilities if any complaints arise. According to her concerns, further care will be provided during the mother's next visit.
