Abstract

This correlational study aimed to present empirical evidence on the role of emotion-focused coping, learning motivation, and social skills in academic stress.   Respondents were 6th-semester students of the guidance and counseling department at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan Yogyakarta (n=237). The multiple linear regression analysis results showed that emotion-focused coping, learning motivation, and social skills simultaneously affect academic stress. The result of this study provides university counselors with a reference on guidance and counseling services related to emotion-focused coping, learning motivation, social skills, and academic stress.

Abstract

The conversion of religions from non-Islam to Islam is often a moment of spiritual awakening for converts. They feel they have a stronger connection with God and experience a deep feeling of peace and happiness towards their new faith. This study aims to explore in depth the description of spirituality in converts from non-Islamic religions to Islam. The method used in this research is a qualitative phenomenologys approach. Data collection techniques in this research are interviews and observation. The subjects in this research were dua converts who were aged 30-50 years. The research results identified four main themes (Superordinate Themes), namely the power of initial belief, spiritual search, and spiritual experience. The second main theme is the time of religious conversion which consists of sub-themes of decision making, barriers to making a pledge, hiding interest in Islam, recognizing Islamic identity. The third main theme is after converting to Islam which consists of sub-themes of environmental response after religious conversion, social relations after religious conversion, and new spiritual experiences. The last main theme is self-change, which consists of the sub-theme of internalization of the Islamic religion.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh self-esteem, dukungan sosial, dan problem focused coping terhadap keinginan bunuh diri pada remaja korban bullying di Unit PPA Satreskrim Polres Ponorogo. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dan survei dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpulan data yang pokok. Kriteria inklusi dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) remaja berusia 10-24 tahun; (2) pernah mengalami bullying. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah korban bullying yang ditangani di Unit PPA Satreskrim Polres Ponorogo, berjumlah 39 responden.Teknik penentuan sampel yang digunakan yakni purposive sampling dananalisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis adalah multiple regression analysis.Keseluruhan komputasi olah data menggunakan SPSS 20.0 for Windows. Hasil uji hipotesis secara simultan diperoleh nilai R Square sebesar 0,455, dan nilai R sebesar 0,674 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,01), memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar45,5%. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis mayor diterima, dimana ada pengaruh signifikan self-esteem, dukungan sosial, dan problem focused coping secara simultan terhadap keinginan bunuh diri. Uji hipotesis minor, nilai (t) untuk pengaruh self–esteem (X1) terhadap keinginan bunuh diri (Y) adalah (t) sebesar –0,521, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,001 < 0,01, memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 7,94%, sehingga disimpulkan ada pengaruh negatif variabel self–esteem (X1) terhadap keinginan bunuh diri (Y), hipotesis minor (X1) diterima. b) Selanjutnya, diketahui nilai (t) -0,532, dengan nilai signifikansi pengaruh dukungan sosial (X2) terhadap keinginan bunuh diri (Y) sebesar 0,000 < 0,01 memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 8,56%, maka disimpulkan ada pengaruh negatif variabel dukungan sosial (X2) terhadap keinginan bunuh diri (Y), hipotesis minor (X2) diterima. c) Nilai (t) pengaruh problem focused coping (X3) terhadap keinginan bunuh diri (Y) adalah (t) sebesar -0,648 dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,01 memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 29%, sehingga disimpulkan ada pengaruh negatif variabel problem focused coping (X3) terhadap keinginan bunuh diri (Y). Hipotesis minor (X3) diterima, bermakna ada pengaruh negatif pada variabel problem focused coping terhadap keinginan bunuh diri. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh yang signifikan self-esteem, dukungan sosial, dan problem focused copingi secara simultan terhadap keinginan bunuh diri sebesar 45,5%.

Abstract

Full day school with a curriculum that integrates Islamic values has a solid activity. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adversity quotient (AQ), self-efficacy, and self-regulated learning on the learning achievement. This research was conducted at the Nur Hidayah Integrated Islamic High School, Sukoharjo. The subjects of this study were 102 students of class XI MIPA from a population of 195 people. The research sample was taken using simple random sampling technique. Data collection used the AQ scale, self-efficacy scale, self-regulated learning scale, and secondary data in the form of report card value data documents issued by schools. The data of this research were analyzed using linear regression analysis techniques which began with the assumption test including normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test. The results showed that as many as four proposed hypotheses were accepted. First, there is a significant effect between AQ, self-efficacy, and self-regulated learning simultaneously on learning achievement. Second, there is a significant effect of AQ on student learning achievement. Third, there is a significant effect of self-efficacy on learning achievement. Fourth, there is a significant effect of self-regulated learning on learning achievement.

Abstract

Tingginya permasalahan serta kurangnya dukungan yang dirasakan oleh para caregiver menjadi penyebab dirinya merasa terbebani dan stres. Mereka sering kali harus menghadapi tuntutan fisik dan emosional yang tinggi, seperti menjaga kesehatan dan kebutuhan harian orang yang mereka rawat, sambil tetap menjalankan tanggung jawab lainnya dalam kehidupan mereka.. Program Pemberdayaan Umat (PRODAMAT) yang dilaksanakan oleh Magister psikologi UAD dengan tema peningkatan resiliensi  kepada para caregiver  yang memiliki tujuan agar mereka mampu meningkatkan resiliensi pada diri mereka sehingga mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan yang mereka hadapi. Metode dan pendekatan yang kami lakukan di Rumah Singgah Pasien Muhammadiyah yang terletak di Jombor, Sinduadi, Kebupaten Sleman terdiri dari senam pagi, ice breaking, psikoedukasi bersama dengan psikologi dan di akhiri dengan Sharing session. Hasil yang di dapatkan setelah malakukan program psikoedukasi adalah berukurangnya rasa jenuh pada caregiver, mengurangi rasa ketidakberdayaan karena peserta saling mengetahui keluah kesah satu sama lain sehingga muncul rasa unutk saling menguatkan
