Abstract

Low sexual knowledge and an increase in negative sexual attitudes in Indonesia cause risky sexual behavior. This is a serious problem that causes an increase in the incidence of young pregnancies, transmission of sexually transmitted infections, and abortions. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between sexual knowledge and attitudes to sexual behavior at the Ar-Rahman Rehabilitation Center. This research method is a quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. The sample was taken from the total population, namely 30 clients at the Ar-Rahman Rahabilitasi Center in Palembang City. The data analysis used was univariate analysis and bivariate analysis of the chi-square statistical test with α<0.05 and a CI of 95%. The results of the study based on the chi-square statistical test showed that there was a significant relationship between attitudes and premarital sexual behavior with p-value=0.04 and there was no relationship between knowledge and premarital sexual behavior with p-value=0.399. It is hoped that there will be cooperation between the Rehabilitation Center and health workers in providing education on premarital sexual prevention.

Abstract

Pregnancy causes a lot of changes and adjustments in women that cause discomfort. Discomfort is an unpleasant feeling for the physical or mental condition of pregnant women. Discomfort that appears in pregnant women in the third trimester is an increase in the frequency of urination, constipation, oedema in the lower extremities, insomnia, lower abdominal pain, haemorrhoids, and varicose veins. Oedema in the lower limbs is caused because blood flow from the legs to the heart is inhibited, so nonpharmacological therapy is carried out with angkle pumps and leg elevation positions. This therapy is beneficial for controlling swelling and can help pump blood to the heart through muscle contractions. The purpose of the study was to evaluate how ankle pump therapy and leg elevation position can overcome oedema in the lower limbs in pregnant women in the third trimester. This study is a case study with a comprehensive obstetric care approach to Mrs. M and data collection, observation and management of angkle pump therapy and leg elevation position for 1 (one) week routinely 2-3 times a day with a duration of 5-10 minutes. The results obtained from the discomfort care intervention in the third trimester that the oedema in the lower limbs has been reduced so that it feels comfortable

Abstract

Background: Modules have several advantages, such as being self-instructional, self-contained, standalone, adaptive, and user-friendly, making them valuable as learning media for parents. The Mindfulness Parenting Prevent Stunting (MPCS) i module developed in this study is an innovative effort to improve parenting quality by focusing on mindfulness in parenting, emotional awareness, and wise responses. It aims to strengthen the relationship between parents and children to support healthy growth and development, thereby helping to prevent stunting. Method: This study used a Research and Development (R&D) approach based on the ADDIE model, developed by Robert Maribe Branch in 1975, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Results: The module was assessed through expert validation and small-scale testing. It received an 84.46% rating from media experts (considered fairly valid with minor revisions), 100% from subject matter experts (very valid), and 94.67% from small-scale tests (very valid). Conclusion: The development of the MPCS module to improve parenting is worthwhile and recommended for use.

Abstract

At school age there is an emotional upheaval that is inseparable from environmental influences. At this time children also experience growth and development. Development that experiences obstacles will lead to forms of child behavior with angry reactions in the form of verbal actions, such as speaking harshly. If this habit of speaking harshly is allowed to continue, then this habit will develop into verbal bullying. Hypnoteaching is one of the hypnotherapy techniques that can help change children's behavior and prevent and overcome problems that may occur because it emphasizes more on giving suggestions in repetition (repetition) so that children will feel confident that they are good children. The belief will make the children leave the bad habits. To find out the effect of hypnoteaching on the habit of using harsh language in elementary school children in grades 4-6 at Rumah Belajar Ceria in 2024. This study used true experimental method with randomized pretest-posttest group design. This research was conducted in October 2023-April 2024. The number of samples in this study were 36 children who were actively studying at Rumah Belajar Ceria. Analysis of research data using nonparametric tests Wilcoxon with Independent Sample T-Test. The average habit of using harsh language before being given hypnoteaching was in the mild category, while the average knowledge of mothers after being given the intervention was in the category of not speaking harshly. The results of the research show that there is an influence of hypnoteaching on the habit of using harsh language in elementary school in grades 4-6 at Rumah Belajar Ceria in 2024 (ρ=0.000<0.05). There is an effect of hypnoteaching on the habit of using harsh language in elementary school children in grades 4-6 at Rumah Belajar Ceria in 2024.

Abstract

Malnutrition is a major problem in the world that does not only occur in developing countries but also in developed countries (Freeman L). More than 3.5 million mothers and children under five every year are caused by malnutrition, and millions more experience permanent physical and mental disabilities as a result of lack of food intake in early life (Lancet, 2011). Based on the 2013 Riskesdas data, the prevalence of undernutrition was 12.1% in 2013. In the province of South Sumatra in 2013 the prevalence of undernutrition in children under five was 12.1% (Ministry of Health, 2014). In children under five with malnutrition, efforts need to be made so that they do not become malnourished and even increase their nutritional status. The effort that needs to be done is by providing additional food (PMT) for recovery (Kemenkes RI, 2011). PMT Recovery is intended as an addition, not as a substitute for the main daily meal. The PMT is based on local food ingredients with regional specialties adapted to local conditions (Directorate General of Nutrition and Maternal and Child Health, Ministry of Health, RI, 2012). This community service aims to improve the nutritional status of toddlers in the work area of the Multiwahana Palembang Health Center by conducting counseling and distributing leaflets/posters about the Provision of Supplementary Foods (PMT) to toddlers to mothers who have babies and toddlers in the work area of the Palembang Multiwahana Health Center. During the outreach activities, the community was very enthusiastic about listening and asking questions about good eating for infants and toddlers. This community service is expected to increase the knowledge and skills of the community in improving the nutritional status of toddlers by providing additional food according to the age of infants and toddlers.
