Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman stroberi (Fragaria ananassa L.) yang berlebihan sehingga dapat menghambat pembentukan bunga dan buah . Pewiwilan  merupakan salah satu teknik budidaya yang dilakukan untuk mengendalikan pertumbuhan vegetatif dengan cara memangkas sulur dan daun tua agar energi tanaman terfokus pada pembentukan organ generatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan pewiwilan terhadap produksi tanaman stroberi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada September 2025 di PT. Kusuma Agrowisata, Kota Batu, menggunakan metode komparatif dengan dua perlakuan, yaitu tanpa pewiwilan dan dengan pewiwilan. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 80 tanaman yang terdiri atas 40 tanaman tanpa pewiwilan dan 40 tanaman dengan pewiwilan. Pengamatan dilakukan selama lima minggu dan data dianalisis secara komparatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanaman tanpa pewiwilan memiliki tinggi tanaman lebih tinggi  (19,71 cm) dibandingkan tanaman dengan pewiwilan (16,97 cm). Namun, perlakuan pewiwilan menghasilkan pembentukan bunga yang lebih stabil serta jumlah buah lebih tinggi pada minggu ke-5, yaitu 1,87 buah dibandingkan 1,7 buah pada tanaman tanpa pewiwilan. Pewiwilan terbukti mampu meningkatkan efisiensi distribusi nutrisi dan produksi tanaman stroberi melalui pengendalian pertumbuhan vegetatif.

Abstract

Tanaman kopi robusta (Coffea canephora) merupakan komoditas perkebunan strategis indonesia yang memerlukan ketersediaan bibit unggul untuk menjaga peningkatan produksi. Permasalahan utama dalam pembibitan adalah penentuan media tanam yang mampu menyediakan nutrisi optimal bagi pertumbuhan bibit kopi. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah mengkaji peran berbagai media tanam dan menentukan media tanam yang paling berpengaruh pada proses pertumbuhan bibit Kopi Robusta. Metode penelitian ini disusun dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan pengujian 5 perlakuan media tanam yaitu: P0: Tanah, P1: Tanah + Pasir, P2: Tanah + Sekam Padi, P3: Tanah + Pasir + Bokashi, P4: Tanah + Sekam Padi + Bokashi. Parameter pengamatan adalah tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun selama empat minggu. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan media tanam pada proses pertumbuhan bibit kopi robusta (Coffea canephora) memberikan pengaruh yang tidak signifikan terhadap tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa secara umum seluruh media tanam tetap berperan sebagai faktor pendukung pertumbuhan, namun pengaruhnya belum tampak secara nyata. Rata-rata pertumbuhan menunjukan media tanah + sekam + bokashi memberikan pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun yang lebih optimal dibanding media lainnya.

Abstract

The research was conducted in Wailiti Village, West Alok District, Sikka Regency, from May to June 2024. The purpose of this study was to determine the income of peanut farming in Wailiti Village, West Alok District, Sikka Regency. The results showed that the average income was IDR 426,146, with the highest income from peanut farming amounting to IDR 2,284,750 and the lowest income amounting to IDR 25,500. The R/C ratio of peanut farming was 1.5, which, according to the criterion that an R/C ratio greater than 1 indicates feasibility, means that the farming activity is considered economically feasible. Therefore, peanut farming in the research area can be regarded as feasible to operate.

Abstract

This study aimed to compare the quality of Batu 55 tangerine (Citrus reticulata Blanco) fruit cultivated at PT. Kusuma Satria Dinasari Wisatajaya (Kusuma Agrowisata), Batu City, East Java, with the quality description of the national superior variety as stipulated in the Decree of the Minister of Agriculture No. 307/Kpts/SR.120/4/2006. The research was conducted for approximately four months, from September to November 2025, using a comparative research approach. Plant sampling was carried out using a systematic sampling method, involving 23 sample trees selected from a total population of 150 trees in Block A2. The observed variables included the number of fruits per tree, fruit diameter, fruit weight per fruit, and fruit sweetness level (% Brix). Compost fertilizer was applied at a dosage of 30 kg per tree as the cultivation treatment. The collected data were analyzed comparatively by contrasting field observation results with the official quality standards of the Batu 55 tangerine variety. The results indicated that compost application improved several physical quality attributes of Batu 55 tangerine fruit, particularly the number of fruits per tree, fruit diameter, and fruit weight, while the fruit sweetness level did not reach the standard value. Overall, the fruit quality generally met the characteristics of the superior variety, although variations were influenced by environmental conditions and cultivation practices. This study provides useful information for evaluating fruit quality and supporting sustainable cultivation of Batu 55 tangerines.

Abstract

Soil fertility is an important factor determining rice productivity. This study aimed to evaluate soil chemical properties and soil fertility status of paddy fields in West Detusoko Village, Ende Regency. A descriptive method was employed using purposive sampling on rice fields cultivated with Inpari and Ciherang varieties. Laboratory analyses were conducted on several soil chemical properties, including soil pH, organic carbon, total nitrogen, available phosphorus, available potassium, cation exchange capacity (CEC), and base saturation. Data were analyzed using a matching method based on soil fertility criteria developed by the Indonesian Soil Research Center. The results indicated that soil pH ranged from slightly acidic to neutral (6.5–7.0), organic carbon and total nitrogen were categorized as moderate, available phosphorus was high to very high, available potassium was very low, cation exchange capacity was high, and base saturation was high to very high. The overall soil fertility status of the paddy fields was classified as moderate. The main limiting factors were low available potassium and moderate organic carbon content. Therefore, improving soil organic matter and applying balanced potassium fertilization are recommended to sustain rice productivity and soil quality in the study area.
