Abstract

Objective: This research aims to identify the most important qualification criteria for selecting subcontractors in the construction supply chain. Design/Methods/Approach: The criteria calculations were analyzed based on the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method applied to obtain the weight of the subcontractor selection criteria. The Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to the Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method was used to evaluate the different subcontractors against 22 sub-criteria indicators. The research sample is the Project Manager and Commercial Manager, who are the decision-makers in selecting subcontractors. Findings: Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and Price are the highest priority criteria for subcontractor selection, with the most influential sub-criteria being quality work specifications, tender prices, and having an HSE supervisor on the project. Originality: Selection of the right Subcontractor is very important for the successful completion of the project and the continuity of the contractor's business as most of the construction project work is carried out by subcontractors. This research on subcontractor selection is to reduce errors in the selection of subcontractors in construction projects and to understand multi-criteria decision-making using the AHP and TOPSIS methods.

Abstract

This community service is an activity related to community economic empowerment through socialization and training in implementing green product entrepreneurial production strategies. The problem that arises in the production of green products is the limitation of knowledge that causes the quality of local products to be unable to compete in national, regional, and international markets. In order to support community service, community economic empowerment efforts about green products will help small and medium enterprises to know how to develop the production of competing for green products. For this reason, this activity will provide assistance and training in green product production strategy skills, so that later partners are able to become independent and have a production strategy. These skills in addition to being beneficial to themselves will at least help reduce the economic burden of the family by earning income from the production of green products developed. The outcome of this activity is (1) the Development of green product knowledge. (2) Assistance of participants in transforming into green business-oriented businesses by involving local communities to produce green products.

Abstract

Functional food consumption is one of the trends in the World food market industry, along with increasing public awareness for healthy living. But the market share of functional food is still very small when compared to the food and beverage market as a whole. The study aims to determine how the perception and attitude of millennials influence the consumption of functional food. Data retrieval is done by using online poll to 110 respondents aged 13 to 32 years residing in the area of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok and Tangerang. Data analysis techniques using Structural Equation Modeling. Testing proved that the consumer perception of millennials gave a positive and significant influence on the purchasing decisions of functional food. Millennials have the perception that functional food is attractive, and in the act, they want functional food to be a part of consumption. By knowing how perception and attitude influence purchasing decisions, it is hoped to help the industry to devise the right business strategy.

Abstract

This research compares two methods of Decision Support System, namely: Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW), by taking a case study regarding the tender process of MNC television transmission stations for Denpasar locations. Based on four main criteria, namely: price, quality, service and reliability in determining the winner of the tender followed by three alternative participants (PT. Axx, PT. Nx and PT. Lxx). Sampling in this study uses a purposive sampling or judgment sampling method based on the consideration of the personnel (informants) involved directly or indirectly in the tender process. The final result of the calculation using the AHP method shows that the alternative priorities ranked 1st to 3rd are PT. Axx total value of 0.592, PT. Nx total value of 0.274 and PT. Lxx total value of 0.134. While the calculation using the SAW method obtained an alternative priority ranking 1st to 3rd is PT. Axx total value of 0.95325, PT. Nx total value of 0.92185 and PT. Lxx total value is 0.71585. Quality criteria are the main priority in the selection of vendors, reliability, service and price criteria are the next priorities. The final score results obtained from various calculations are not the same, which indicates that the maturity of the data that is processed to become accurate information is different. The SAW method is more widely used because the calculation process is easier to understand, fast and simple than the AHP method. Whereas AHP is superior in data accuracy, because the value of criteria weights is not arbitrarily determined, but is generated based on calculations.

Abstract

Abstract

The Mining Industry is one of the pillars of national economic development. In this industry, heavy equipment plays an important role in the coal mining process in Indonesia. By using heavy equipment must be well structured, so that the project can run easily without any obstacles. This research aimed to evaluate the cause of the low-value OEE of the Excavator Hitachi EX2500-6 of EX157 and EX158 units and determine the way to repair so that the equipment performance can be improved. This research uses descriptive quantitative approach with value analysis methods Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). The result of OEE values were analyzed using losses classification method so that the occurrence of loss factors can be found and root cause analysis performance using a causal diagram/fishbone diagram and then make any improvement recommendations that can be done by using 5W1H analysis. Based on the research results, the OEE values of two excavators were calculated and were compared with the benchmark values. The values of OEE were found to be 84% for EX157 units and 68% for EX158 units. The low value of OEE on EX158 caused by unscheduled maintenance time losses amounting to 1188.3 hours. The high of time loss is influenced by trouble on Machine Frame, Structure, Body, and Cab components amounted to 60.9%. The root causes of the losses derived from the availability of external mechanics, the competence of mechanics, the availability of spare parts, and the implementation of condition monitoring was not optimal. While remedial steps can be taken by giving technical training program for mechanics as maintenance practice methodology.
