Abstract

The Citayam Fashion Week (CFW) event in July 2022, -led by amateur teenagers-, suddenly became virtual in cyberspace. The massive emergence of the lifetrend of young groups of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender or popularly referred to as LGBT on the event of CFW, rekindled diverse polemics in the social realities of society at large. Although since 2001 when the Netherlands first until now almost 30 other countries have consciously officially legalized the LGBT movement, the LGBT phenomenon which is categorized as a form of deviation of sexual orientation, in fact LGBT is still a long discourse and has not ended either among academics, practitioners or the wider community. The arguments are manifold; starting from the change in LGBT status from the master book of psychology (DSM) Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder, namely from the category of sexual deviance orientation to the category of orientation that seems natural and commonplace, to the arguments of the Holy books including the Qur'an with postulates whose verses are clear and well established. This research applies an analytical descriptive qualitative methodology, based on the Qur'ani of psychology using nomatic techniques, to find prevention from the orientation of LGBT towards children at young age . The results reveal the phenomenon of LGBT psychiatry and the impact of LGBT life trends on “baligh” age in the contemporary digital age. This study offers 4 continuums of the Qur'ani cognitive adjustment models, namely: 1. To strengthen moral education and applied theory of cognition husn al-Zahn/positive attribution, 2. To strengthen family resilience, 3. To choose a good social environment, 4. To synergy between the government, the legislator and the formation of law against LGBT.

Abstract

Digital progress is so rapid, it has a good impact on humans, so they can communicate between countries and continents, easy access to information and digitalization. However, there are negative impacts on human life, for example cyber crime, pornography, LGBT and others, which pose a threat to families in Indonesia. So in this study, attempts to explain the concept of family resilience in the Koran and how the strategy of family resilience from the perspective of QS Tahrim: 6. The conclusion of this study is that what is meant by family resilience is a form of protection, mitigation, or prevention and self-defense in the face of various threats and danger to the family. There are at least four strategies in family resilience in QS At-Tahrim verse 6 from the perspective of Tafsir Ibnu Katsir, religious education, improving the quality of communication between families, collective family protection based on maqashid sharia, state protection for families.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of pesantren culture on students' academic achievements in higher education. A pesantren is a traditional Islamic boarding school comprising key elements such as a kyai (religious leader), santri (students), dormitories, and a mosque. This research explores how its cultural practices influence student outcomes by focusing on one type of pesantren that operates in the evening, exemplified by Pesantren Luhur Sabilussalam. The study employs an analytical survey design with a cross-sectional approach and uses quantitative data collection and analysis methods. Findings indicate that four core cultural components- Islamic study sessions (pengajian), religious activities, the pesantren environment, and interpersonal relationships- contribute positively to students' academic and non-academic success, accounting for a 45% impact on their performance in higher education

Abstract

KH. Wahid Hasyim was a key figure in the reform of Islamic education and da’wah management in Indonesia. This study aims to explore the reform movement of KH. Wahid Hasyim in the context of da’wah management and the transformation of Islamic education in Indonesia. This research employs a qualitative approach by analyzing various literature sources on the educational and managerial policies introduced by KH. Wahid Hasyim, as well as his contributions to the modernization of pesantren. The findings indicate that KH. Wahid Hasyim implemented modern management principles in the administration of Islamic education and da’wah. He integrated religious education with general knowledge, such as foreign languages, to equip students with the necessary skills to face contemporary challenges. The reforms carried out at Madrasah Nizamiyah, including curriculum modifications and teaching method improvements, led pesantren toward a more modern educational system that aligns with societal needs. His policies, such as mandating religious education in public schools, reflect his commitment to the advancement of Islamic education in Indonesia. KH. Wahid Hasyim’s contributions to Islamic education can also be seen in his efforts to develop educational institutions, such as LP Ma'arif NU, which now oversees more than 6,000 educational institutions across Indonesia. With an inclusive approach rooted in the values of tolerance, his educational reforms not only emphasized academic excellence but also focused on character development, preparing students to navigate global challenges.Abstrak: KH. Wahid Hasyim merupakan salah satu tokoh penting dalam pembaharuan pendidikan Islam dan manajemen dakwah di Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggali gerakan pembaharuan KH. Wahid Hasyim dalam konteks manajemen dakwah dan transformasi pendidikan Islam di Indonesia yang diusungnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menganalisis berbagai sumber kepustakaan mengenai kebijakan pendidikan dan manajerial yang diperkenalkan oleh KH. Wahid Hasyim, serta bagaimana kontribusinya dalam modernisasi pesantren. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa KH. Wahid Hasyim menerapkan prinsip-prinsip manajemen modern dalam pengelolaan pendidikan Islam dan dakwah. Wahid mengintegrasikan pendidikan agama dengan pengetahuan umum, seperti bahasa asing, untuk mempersiapkan santri menghadapi tantangan zaman. Pembaharuan yang dilakukan di Madrasah Nizamiyah, termasuk perubahan kurikulum dan metode pengajaran, membawa pesantren menuju pendidikan yang lebih modern dan relevan dengan kebutuhan masyarakat. Kebijakan-kebijakan yang diterapkan, seperti mewajibkan pendidikan agama di sekolah umum, menunjukkan komitmennya terhadap perkembangan pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. Kontribusi KH. Wahid Hasyim dalam dunia pendidikan Islam dapat dilihat melalui upayanya dalam mengembangkan lembaga pendidikan, seperti LP Ma’arif NU, yang kini memiliki lebih dari 6000 lembaga pendidikan di seluruh Indonesia. Dengan pendekatan inklusif dan berbasis pada nilai-nilai toleransi, pendidikan yang dibentuk tidak hanya berfokus pada aspek akademik, tetapi juga pada pembentukan karakter yang dapat menghadapi tantangan global.

Abstract

Angelika Neuwirth's intertextuality opens new insights into the Qur'an's relationship with the Environmental sustainability is a fundamental concern in modern society, and Islam provides ethical guidelines for responsible environmental stewardship. This study explores the principles of Islamic environmental ethics derived from the Quran and their relevance to waste-to-energy (WTE) innovation as a sustainable waste management strategy. The Quran emphasizes khalifah (stewardship), mizan (balance), and israf (avoidance of wastefulness) as key ethical foundations for environmental conservation. From an Islamic perspective, the transformation of waste into energy aligns with the maqasid shariah (higher objectives of Islamic law) by promoting environmental protection a nd public welfare. This research also examines existing WTE initiatives in Muslim-majority countries, highlighting challenges and opportunities in integrating Islamic values into technological advancements. The findings suggest that Islamic teachings can serve as a moral and spiritual foundation for promoting WTE solutions, encouraging policymakers, religious scholars, and communities to adopt environmentally responsible practices. This study contributes to the discourse on Islamic environmental ethics and provides policy recommendations for sustainable waste management in Muslim societies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the da'wah management strategy of KH. Ahmad Dahlan in integrating Islamic principles with modern approaches in revitalizing Islamic education in Indonesia. The main issue addressed is the intellectual stagnation and backwardness of the Muslim community during the colonial era, exacerbated by a colonial education system that separated religious and secular sciences. To address this challenge, KH. Ahmad Dahlan developed a modern, structured da'wah strategy encompassing planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising stages. This research adopts a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, using literature review as the primary data collection technique. The findings reveal that KH. Ahmad Dahlan successfully established a da'wah model that went beyond traditional preaching by building an integrative education system. He unified the values of iman (faith/tauhid), Islam (syari’ah), and ihsan (spirituality and social ethics) into his da'wah practices. Education was positioned as the core of da'wah, with a curriculum that included moral, personal, and social development. Through the Muhammadiyah organization, he institutionalized a sustainable, structured, and professional da'wah model. The implications of this study suggest that KH. Ahmad Dahlan's da'wah management strategy is highly relevant for contemporary Islamic propagation in the digital and globalized era, offering a systematic, contextual, and value-based framework for effective da'wah. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi manajemen dakwah KH. Ahmad Dahlan dalam mengintegrasikan prinsip-prinsip Islam dan pendekatan modern dalam revitalisasi pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. Permasalahan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah stagnasi pemikiran dan keterbelakangan umat Islam pada masa kolonial, serta dominasi sistem pendidikan kolonial yang memisahkan antara ilmu agama dan ilmu umum. Untuk menjawab tantangan ini, KH. Ahmad Dahlan menggunakan strategi dakwah berbasis manajemen modern yang mencakup tahapan perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis, serta studi pustaka sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa KH. Ahmad Dahlan berhasil membentuk model dakwah yang tidak hanya fokus pada ceramah keagamaan, tetapi juga pada pembentukan sistem pendidikan yang integratif. Ia memadukan nilai-nilai iman (tauhid), Islam (syari’ah), dan ihsan (spiritualitas dan etika sosial) dalam pelaksanaan dakwah. Pendidikan dijadikan sebagai media utama dakwah, dengan kurikulum yang mencakup aspek moral, individu, dan kemasyarakatan. Melalui lembaga Muhammadiyah, ia menciptakan sistem dakwah yang profesional, terstruktur, dan berkelanjutan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model manajemen dakwah KH. Ahmad Dahlan sangat relevan untuk diadopsi dalam pengembangan dakwah Islam di era digital dan globalisasi, karena mampu menjawab tantangan kontemporer dengan pendekatan yang sistematis, kontekstual, dan berbasis nilai. Abstract

The conclusion of this paper is that the social movement in efforts to protect children based on the Qur'an is realized through four things; first: the integration of child protection, second: child-friendly families, thirdly the role of waqf in child protection, four: optimization of social media. There are three reasons for violence against children, first; parents or family, second; social/community environment, and the three children themselves. So far, the child protection movement has not been implemented optimally, due to the lack of facilities in its implementation, the lack of funding support, and the lack of maximum synergy between families, communities, schools and the government.
