Abstract

In a Constantly evolving and competitive era, companies are faced with demands to be more responsive and adaptive to rapid change. The company's ability to adapt and innovate is the key to success in facing these challenges. In this context, leadership perceptions and innovative work behavior are important factors that can affect the agility of the workforce in the company. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the influence of leadership perceptions and innovative work behavior on Workforce agility in the company. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey research design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to employees of leather manufacturing companies. The research sample was selected using accidental sampling technique. The data collected were then analyzed using multiple linear regression tests. The results showed that leadership perceptions had no effect on Workforce agility in the company. While innovative work behavior affects Workforce agility in the company. The more dominant factors are organizational structure, workday habits, management system, and employee engagement. However, innovative work practices reveal significant improvements in worker agility. To enable rapid adaptation to economic and technological changes, companies must encourage innovative work practices among their employees. Workforce agility can be improved across the board by fostering trust, providing respect, and providing space for innovative employees. The implications and implications of this study suggest that it is critical for businesses to develop strategies that consider these factors to improve the day-to-day operations and adaptability of organizations.

Abstract

Having middle and lower socioeconomic status in adolescence is associated with low adolescent self-esteem which results in high levels of involvement in criminal behavior and low learning performance at school. Film-based interventions can improve self-esteem. This study aims to test the effectiveness of a film-based intervention to increase self-esteem. The research design is a one group pre-test post-test experiment which uses film as a manipulation of the independent variable. The research subjects were 90 students (51.1% boys and 48.8% girls) of junior high schools in the city of Surabaya, aged 13-16 years. The experiment was carried out in three waves. At each meeting, the treatment given is watching a film together and then followed by a process with the facilitator to discuss the film that has been watched together. The pre-test and post-test were also completed using the Rosenberg Self-Celebrity Scale (RSES). The data analysis method used was the Wilcoxon signed rank test using SPSS 25 software. The results of the study showed that there was no significant difference in self-esteem scores between the scores before and after the intervention was given. Several things are thought to have caused the failure of this research: 1) Initial data collection was not representative of self-esteem conditions which were classified as innate (trait) or situational (state); 2) The use of social media and parenting patterns from parents contribute to more positive self-esteem; 3) Sociometric status is a more significant predictor of self-esteem than socio-economic status. There are several technical limitations, such as experimental designs that tend to be weak, time periods that are not long enough, and films that have not been curated by experts. Memiliki status sosial ekonomi menengah ke bawah pada masa remaja dikaitkan dengan rendahnya harga diri remaja yang mengakibatkan tingginya tingkat keterlibatan dalam perilaku kriminal dan rendahnya prestasi belajar di sekolah. Intervensi berbasis film dapat meningkatkan harga diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas intervensi berbasis film untuk meningkatkan harga diri. Desain penelitiannya adalah one group pre-test post-test eksperimen yang menggunakan film sebagai manipulasi variabel independen. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa SMP di kota Surabaya yang berjumlah 90 orang (51,1% laki-laki dan 48,8% perempuan) yang berusia 13-16 tahun. Percobaan dilakukan dalam tiga gelombang. Pada setiap pertemuan perlakuan yang diberikan adalah menonton film bersama kemudian dilanjutkan dengan proses bersama fasilitator untuk mendiskusikan film yang telah ditonton bersama. Pre-test dan post-test juga diselesaikan dengan menggunakan Rosenberg Self-Celebrity Scale (RSES). Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji Wilcoxon sign rank test dengan menggunakan software SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan skor harga diri yang signifikan antara skor sebelum dan sesudah diberikan intervensi. Beberapa hal yang diduga menjadi penyebab kegagalan penelitian ini: 1) Pengumpulan data awal tidak mewakili kondisi harga diri yang tergolong bawaan (trait) atau situasional (keadaan); 2) Penggunaan media sosial dan pola asuh orang tua berkontribusi terhadap harga diri yang lebih positif; 3) Status sosiometri merupakan prediktor harga diri yang lebih signifikan dibandingkan status sosial ekonomi. Terdapat beberapa keterbatasan teknis, seperti desain eksperimen yang cenderung lemah, jangka waktu yang tidak cukup lama, dan film yang belum dikurasi oleh ahli.

Putus cinta umumnya berdampak negatif, yaitu merasa sedih, tidak berharga, marah hingga muncul keinginan bunuh diri. Pemaafan merupakan salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk melepaskan emosi negatif akibat putus cinta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan harga diri, kecerdasan emosional, dan pemaafan pada emerging adulthood yang mengalami putus cinta. Partisipan penelitian ini sebanyak 330 individu berusia 18 dan 25 tahun yang mengalami putus cinta. Pengambilan data menggunakan Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, Emotional Intelligence Scale, dan Heartland Forgiveness Scale. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara harga diri, kecerdasan emosional, dan pemaafan pada emerging adulthood yang mengalami putus cinta. Dalam hal ini kemampuan untuk menilai dan bersikap secara tepat, didukung dengan pengendalian diri dan emosi yang baik memungkinkan individu mampu menghadapi situasi yang ada dan menentukan strategi koping yang tepat, apakah dirinya akan memaafkan atau tidak ketika dirinya mengalami putus cinta.

Abstract

This study is a bibliometric analysis with the aim to explore scientific publications related to the psychological well-being of women in the perimenopause transition phase. The analyzed data was sourced from scientific articles indexed by Scopus from 1985 to October 2023. Scientific article search technique was conducted by tracking scientific publication documents in a database through search queries with search string. Analysis results provided four main findings: (1) psychology is not the only scientific discipline that studies issues related to the menopausal transition phase and not the field of study that produces the highest number of scientific publications; (2) publications related to the menopausal transition phase with the highest level of influence in the discipline of psychology are dominated by mental health topics such as depression and sleep disorders; (3) academic interest in studying the menopausal transition phase in psychology is increasing with each publication period; and (4) a diversity of study topics has emerged as interest in studying the menopausal transition phase has increased; however, in the last twenty years, there has been a trend towards stagnation of studies on the topic of perimenopausal depression and decrease of research interest in various dimensions of psychological well-being. The conclusion of this study is that bibliometric metadata of a scientific publication corpus is dynamic, causing metrics to change with time, and that analysis can be utilized to see trends in scientific publications related to the issue of women's physical and psychological health in the menopausal transition phase.

Abstract

Instagram is one of the most widely used social media platforms, particularly among late adolescents, with 86.6% of global internet users actively engaging on the platform. Adolescents often hesitate to reveal their authentic selves online, instead curating idealized or false versions of themselves to seek acceptance, admiration, and positive impressions from their followers, which may carry adverse psychological consequences. This study investigates the influence of parental acceptance-rejection on adolescents’ online self-presentation on Instagram. Using a quantitative cross-sectional survey, data were collected from 207 adolescents (84.06% were female) aged 18 to 21 years. Participants completed the Parental Acceptance-Rejection Questionnaire (PARQ) and a modified Self-Presentation on Facebook Questionnaire (SPFBQ). Multiple regression analysis revealed that parental acceptance-rejection does not significantly predict adolescents’ presentasi diri daring Although parental acceptance-rejection plays important roles in adolescents’ socioemotional development, these factors do not appear to directly influence how they portray themselves on social media. The implications and limitations of these findings are further discussed.

Abstract

The study is keen to know the factors that motivate youth to read non-academic readings and the sort of readings. Subjects (N = 106) are government and private high school students in Surabaya, aged 15-19 years. Data were obtained through a questionnaire and analysed with factor analysis and cluster analysis. Results reveal eight factors (five internal and three external) that motivate youth to read non-academic readings. Subjects were then grouped according to the dominant factors, i.e. the information content, content expectation, topic, and benefit of the reading. The motivating factors, the dominant as well as the nondominant are discussed. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mendorong remaja membaca bacaan non-akademis dan jenis-jenis bacaannya. Subjek penelitian (N = 106) adalah pelajar SMU baik negeri maupun swasta di Surabaya, berusia antara 15-19 tahun. Data dikumpuilkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan analisis faktor dan analisis cluster. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat delapan faktor (lima faktor internal dan 3 faktor eksternal) yang mendorong remaja membaca bacaan non- akademis. Para subjek dapat dipilah menjadi empat kelompok berdasarkan faktor yang dominan, yaitu muatan informasi, harapan terhadap isi, topik, dan manfaat bacaan. Didiskusikan faktor pendorong masing-masing, baik yang dominan maupun yang kurang dominan.

Abstract

Everyone would live his/her retired years through different activities. The purpose of this survey is to map the activities done by the retired people. Subjects (N = 63) are retired official and private employees. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analysed through factor and cluster analysis. Activities during the retired years could be grouped into social activities, activities yielding money, family oriented activities, and activities concerning hobbies. Factor analysis reveals seven motivating factors to enhanced activities of the retired people, i.e. activity oriented, new insights, self-actualization, personal wants orientation, family orientation, comfortable orientation, and calm orientation, four of which (self-actualization, comfortable orientation, activities orientation, and calm orientation) are dominant factors. Setiap individu mengisi masa pensiun dengan melakukan kegiatan yang berbeda. Penelitian ini bertujuan memetakan kegiatan yang dilakukan pensiunan pada masa pensiun. Subjek penelitian ini adalah pensiunan (N = 63) pegawai negeri dan swasta di Surabaya. Data diperoleh melalui angket dan dianalisis dengan teknik analisis faktor dan analisis cluster. Kegiatan pada masa pensiun dapat dikelompokkan menjadi kegiatan sosial, kegiatan yang menghasilkan uang, berorientasi pada keluarga, dan kegiatan yang berhubungan dengan hobi. Berdasarkan analisis faktor diperoleh tujuh faktor pendorong kegiatan para pensiunan (orientasi kegiatan, wawasan baru, aktualisasi diri, orientasi keinginan pribadi, orientasi keluarga, orientasi kenyamanan, dan orientasi ketenangan). Analisis cluster menunjukkan empat faktor yang dominan (aktualisasi diri, orientasi kenyamanan, orientasi kegiatan, dan orientasi ketenangan). Didiskusikan faktor pendorong maupun faktor dominan masing-masing.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to detect the kinds of support needed by students including the sources of the support, and aware of the student’s most needed support. Subjects (N = 93) were psy- chology students of year 2004 & 2005, who were selected through stratified proportional random sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire and then described through frequency distri- bution, cross tabulation, and multidimensional scaling (MDS). Result from the MDS reveals that emotional support was mostly obtained from parents (and friends), companionship from friends, in- formational support from friends (and parents), and material support from parents. Similar mapping was also obtained from students according to generation and gender; but a different map appear when examined through engaged status. i.e. students who have fiancees, the emotional support are domi- nantly obtained from the fiancees. The main support needed by students are emotional support, the companionship, informational, and material supports. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeteksi jenis dukungan yang dibutuhkan mahasiswa beserta sumber dukungan tersebut dan mengetahui jenis dukungan yang paling dibutuhkan mahasiswa. Subjek (N = 93) adalah mahasiswa psikologi angkatan 2004 dan 2005. Sampel diperoleh dengan teknik stratified proportional random sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode angket, kemudian dideskripsikan dengan menggunakan distribusi frekuensi, tabulasi silang, dan MDS (Multidimensional Scaling). Hasil pemetaan MDS menunjukkan bahwa dukungan emosional banyak diperoleh dari orangtua (dan teman), dukungan companionship diperoleh dari teman, dukungan informasional diperoleh dari teman (dan orangtua), dan dukungan material diperoleh dari orangtua. Pemetaan yang serupa juga ditemukan pada mahasiswa jika ditinjau dari angkatan dan jenis kelamin; namun terlihat perbedaan pemetaan jika ditinjau dari status berpacaran, yaitu pada mahasiswa yang memiliki pacar, dukungan emosional secara dominan diperoleh dari pacar. Dukungan utama yang dibutuhkan oleh mahasiswa adalah dukungan emosional, kemudian dukungan companionship, informasional, dan material.
