Abstract

Several studies reported the use of acid catalysts of esterification of glycerol to acetin derivatives and amberlysts are no exception. However, among these strong sulfuric acid catalysts, amberlyst 36 is still rarely used and hence challenging to investigate. This study aimed to determine the yield and the selectivity of the esterification reaction of glycerol into acetine derivatives using a 5% of solid catalyst amberlyst 36 at a temperature of 90°C in a reflux system. The conversion value resulting from the reaction was 80.74%, with a selectivity value of 6.8% for triacetin. FTIR and GC-MS data support the monoacetin and triacetin structures. The findings indicate that the simple method and easily obtained catalyst can produce a high yield of acetin derivatives. This method is still possibly optimized to perform maximum yield with high selectivity.

Abstract

Kasus HIV dan AIDS merupakan salah satu permasalahan dalam lingkup kesehatan global. HIV dan AIDS merupakan salah satu penyakit yang juga perlu diperhatikan di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Dengan demikian, penulis melakukan penelitian terhadap faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kasus HIV dan AIDS di Sulawesi Selatan menggunakan Regresi Poisson Bivariat. Regresi Poisson Bivariat merupakan metode yang digunakan untuk memodelkan korelasi antar dua data yang berdistribusi poisson. Terdapat tiga model regresi poisson bivariat yang dibangun. Model terbaik dari ketiga model tersebut adalah model dengan λ3 yang merupakan suatu persamaan. Dari model terbaik diketahui bahwa faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap HIV adalah persentase daerah berstatus desa, persentase penduduk maksimal tamat SMA, dan jumlah kepadatan penduduk. Sedangkan pada kasus AIDS semua variabel prediktor tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kasus AIDS di Sulawesi Selatan.

Abstract

Efficient and organized employee recruitment management is very important for the success of a company. In this digital era, web-based technology offers a great opportunity to improve the recruitment process by reducing time, costs and increasing the quality of prospective employees. This study aims to analyze and design an innovative and easy-to-use web-based recruitment system for the company PT ERAFONE ARTHA RETAILINDO to increase efficiency and accuracy in the recruitment process. The research method we use is waterfall and interviews with HR managers and the company's recruitment team to understand the process. current recruitment. We also carry out document analysis, such as historical data on previous recruitment and the recruitment platform used. The results of the system implementation show a significant increase in the response time of the recruitment process and the quality of candidates invited to further selection stages. Abstract

This study aims to understand the Work Environment and Organizational Culture on Organizational Commitment with Job Satisfaction as an intervening variable. There are many causes of job dissatisfaction, therefore this is very related because if employees experience dissatisfaction it will have an impact on increasing high turnover, which means that employees become disloyal to the organization related to organizational commitment. Sometimes simple things are not paid attention to, such as an uncomfortable work environment and organizational culture, reliable human resources can resign. One important factor within the company is managing human resources so that they can utilize them to optimize the achievement of the company's vision. This study used a sample of 100 employees at PT Sejati Karya Perkasa Medan which were processed using SPSS with path analysis statistics and the results showed that there was a positive and significant influence between work environment and organizational culture, job satisfaction and organizational commitment.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of compensation and training on performance with motivation as an intervening variable at PT Pacifik Medan Industri. The method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method which is carried out through data collection using questionnaires and statistical testing data analysis. The population taken in this research were all 143 employees of PT Pacifik Industri Medan. With random sampling technique. The sampling method uses the Slovin formula with an error rate of 5%, so the sample is 105 people. The data analysis used is path analysis using the Sem application via Smart PLS 26. The results show that there is an influence between Compensation on Motivation, and Training has an influence on Motivation. Motivation can mediate compensation and training on employee performance, and there is an influence of motivation on performance, and there is a simultaneous relationship between compensation and training on employee performance.

Abstract

Masyarakat Kelurahan Tampan, Kecamatan Payung Sekaki, masih menghadapi keterbatasan pemanfaatan lahan kosong serta rendahnya pengetahuan mengenai pelestarian tanaman obat keluarga (TOGA). Permasalahan ini berdampak pada kurangnya kesadaran dalam menjaga kemandirian kesehatan berbasis bahan alami. Program pengabdian melalui KKN Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau 2025 kelompok 10 di RT 04 RW 03 bertujuan meningkatkan kesadaran, keterampilan, dan kontribusi warga dalam mengelola kebun TOGA secara berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi diskusi, workshop pembuatan media tanam, serta praktik penanaman langsung oleh mahasiswa selama 20 hari dengan tanaman seperti jahe, kunyit, sereh, lengkuas, cabai, daun mint, lidah buaya, pepaya madu, dan jeruk nipis. Finishing kegiatan ditandai dengan pembuatan pojok informasi TOGA sebagai sarana literasi kesehatan. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara, yang memperlihatkan antusiasme warga serta peningkatan kepedulian terhadap pelestarian TOGA. Dampak kegiatan tidak hanya mengoptimalkan lahan kosong menjadi produktif dan edukatif, tetapi juga memperkuat kesadaran masyarakat untuk memanfaatkan tanaman obat keluarga sebagai upaya menjaga kemandirian kesehatan. Kendala berupa gangguan hewan ternak warga diatasi dengan pemasangan pagar dan waring agar kebun tetap terjaga.
