Abstract

This study investigates the Asma' Artho tradition in Blitar, Indonesia, as a spiritual practice integrating Islamic teachings with Javanese local wisdom. Employing a qualitative ethnographic approach, the research, through participant observation and interviews, examines the tradition's spiritual elements, its influence on religious awareness, and factors affecting its efficacy and preservation. Data analysis utilizes the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana interactive model. Findings reveal that Asma' Artho, incorporating practices like dhikr and fasting, significantly enhances religious awareness by strengthening ritual observance, spiritual experience, and religious identity. Its effectiveness is influenced by community understanding, leadership quality, and socio-cultural context. Modernization and puritanical critiques pose challenges to the tradition's preservation, while digital adaptation and contemporary reinterpretations offer opportunities for its continuity. This research underscores the dynamic nature of Asma' Artho, highlighting its adaptability within a modern context. It emphasizes the importance of understanding and preserving such traditional practices as integral components of Indonesia's cultural and spiritual heritage.

Abstract

Pelatihan penggunaan teknologi informasi bagi orang tua di Kecamatan Depok, Kabupaten Sleman, Yogyakarta, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital dan keterampilan orang tua dalam mendukung pembelajaran anak di era digital. Dalam pelatihan ini, orang tua diberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan terkait penggunaan aplikasi pendidikan, pembuatan akun email, serta pengaturan keamanan internet. Evaluasi hasil pelatihan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta, yang berdampak positif pada kemampuan mereka mendampingi anak-anak selama pembelajaran daring. Pelatihan ini juga memperkuat sinergi antara sekolah, orang tua, dan komunitas, serta berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di daerah tersebut. Meskipun terdapat tantangan, program ini berhasil menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih kondusif dan mendukung perkembangan akademik anak-anak.

Abstract

The low level of students’ interest and understanding of zakat material is one of the challenges in Islamic Religious Education at the junior high school level. Zakat material is often perceived as difficult and tedious due to conventional teaching approaches and limited student interaction. This study aims to improve the interest and comprehension of Grade IX students in zakat material through the implementation of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model. This research was conducted as Classroom Action Research (CAR) in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection phases. The research subjects were 27 ninth-grade students. Data were collected through observation, learning interest questionnaires, and comprehension tests. In the pre-cycle, the students' average score was 63.63 with a mastery level of 33%. After implementing the Jigsaw model, the results in Cycle I showed an increase in the average score to 69.81 with 41% mastery, and in Cycle II it significantly increased to 78.70 with 100% mastery. Additionally, students showed increased participation, active engagement in group discussions, and enthusiasm toward learning zakat. The Jigsaw model encouraged students to take more responsibility in understanding the material since they were required to explain their assigned part to their peers. The study concludes that the Jigsaw cooperative learning model is effective in enhancing students’ interest and understanding of zakat material through an active, collaborative, and meaningful learning process.

Abstract

In the fiqh learning process in class IX MTs Sheikh Subakir Nglegok Blitar, obstacles were found in student engagement and understanding, especially regarding Hajj and Umrah material. Teacher-centered learning and the limited use of interactive media made students passive and less enthusiastic. This study aims to apply Truth or Dare media as an alternative for interactive and enjoyable learning. The research used the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method conducted in two cycles with class IX students of MTs Sheikh Subakir as subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and comprehension tests. The results showed a significant increase in student activeness and understanding of Hajj and Umrah material after the implementation of Truth or Dare media. This media created a more dynamic learning atmosphere, increased student engagement, and supported students’ mastery of the content. In addition, the use of Truth or Dare fostered a collaborative learning environment, encouraged students to be more active in discussions, and increased their confidence in expressing ideas. These findings indicate that educational game media such as Truth or Dare are effective and worth considering as an innovative approach to improve students’ activeness and understanding in fiqh learning in madrasah settings.
