Abstract

Christian Religious Education (CRE) in Indonesia faces challenges in maintaining moral and spiritual values amid rapid technological advancement. While technology offers opportunities for enhanced learning, it also risks diminishing local cultural values. One tradition that can be integrated into CRE is Magunatip, a traditional dance of the Dayak and Murut peoples that teaches cooperation, agility, gratitude, and respect for nature. Using a qualitative descriptive method through a literature study, this research explores the potential integration of Magunatip into the CRE curriculum. The findings indicate that such integration can enrich learning with local wisdom, strengthen students’ character, and foster a culture of love. However, transformative leadership is essential to balance technological adoption with the preservation of spiritual and cultural values, ensuring that Christian education remains relevant in the digital era.
