Abstract

Terkait dengan tingginya tingkat kecelakaan di jalan raya yang melibatkan kendaraan roda dua, yang mana sering terjadi adalah dari kalangan pelajar atau usia remaja, maka diperlukan sebuah analisis terhadap pemahaman berkendara sepeda motor, khususnya untuk siswa yang berada di kelas 12 Sekolah Menengah Atas atau direntang usia 16-17 tahun. Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini antara lain untuk analisis tingkat pemahaman berkendara sepeda motor, tingkat terjadinya kecelakaan terhadap tingkat pemahaman berkendara sepeda motor, dan dampak pembelajaran berkendara dasar terhadap urgensi umur pada siswa kelas 12 SMA Negeri 9 Balikpapan. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode sosialisasi atau memaparkan materi, diberikan pre test sebelum materi dan post test setalah materi selesai. Sumber data diperoleh dari kuesioner yang diberikan kepada siswa kelas 12 SMA Negeri 9 Balikpapan. Dari hasil analisis yang dilakukan, setelah melakukan penyuluhan terkait safety riding, didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa pengetahuan siswa meningkat saat dilakukannya penyuluhan pada siswa-siswi SMA Negeri 9 Balikpapan, hal ini dapat dilihat dengan adanya urgensi yang ada, dari pemilihan aspek penilaian yang melibatkan adanya pengaruh antara pemahaman berkendara dengan tingkat kecelakaan dan adanya dampak positif yang diberikan dengan pembuktian melalui hasil kuesioner saat siswa setelah mendengarkan materi dari peneliti.

Abstract

Internal Quality Audit (IQA) is an important process to ensure the quality of implementation of activities in educational institutions in accordance with established standards. However, the implementation of IQA that is still carried out manually or semi-digitally can hamper the effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy in data management and reporting of audit results. Therefore, an information system is needed that can support the audit process in a more systematic and integrated manner. This research examines the development of an internal quality audit system using the Personal Extreme Programming (PXP) approach that is carried out iteratively. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the system developed through four iterations, each of which focused on developing key features such as user management, document management, audit process, and assessment. The PXP methodology was applied to provide flexibility in responding to user feedback, with each iteration resulting in rapid improvements and adjustments according to emerging needs. The results showed that the developed system met the audit management objectives with high functionality, ease of use, and improved efficiency at each iteration. In addition, this iterative approach allows the system to be more responsive to changing user needs compared to conventional development methods. Overall, this research supports the use of PXP as an effective methodology in the development of internal quality audit systems, demonstrating that it can produce solutions that are adaptive, efficient, and suited to user needs.

Abstract

Abstract: Hazardous and toxic materials (B3) are materials that can cause harm to living organisms, materials, buildings, or the environment due to explosion or fire hazard, corrosion, poisoning for organisms, as well as devastating consequences. The method for carrying out B3 classification is by using the Hazmat Tool. Before using the Hazmat Tool, an observation was made to find out the chemicals in Laboratory X. Based on the observations, a list of the chemicals used was obtained, then a classification was carried out to determine the storage of chemicals and after carrying out the design requirements for storing chemicals in prevent potential hazards of chemicals in Laboratory X. The classification of these chemicals is expected to increase institutional and laboratory staff knowledge regarding the importance of knowing how to store chemicals in the workplace. Abstract

The City Library and Archives Office utilizes its website to deliver information and services. However, its development has not yet considered user comfort and an adequate User Interface (UI) design, which reduces user satisfaction. This study aims to identify the elements that influence interface design and determine the reference specimen for UI design recommendations. The research employs the Kansei Engineering (KE) approach to connect user emotions with design elements. Data were collected through a questionnaire using 28 Kansei words to analyze five website specimens, involving 50 respondents. The analysis was conducted using Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Factor Analysis, and Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results indicate that the Kansei word "beautiful" has a dominant influence on user emotions (value: 0.995). The City Library and Archives Office of Riau’s website was identified as the most suitable reference specimen for the expected design concept. Design recommendations were formulated based on the PLS analysis, covering elements such as layout and color to ensure an optimal design. This study highlights the importance of emotional aspects in UI design to enhance user satisfaction and improve the effectiveness of information delivery.Keywords - Kansei Engineering, Multivariate Analysis, Partial Least Square, User Interface, Website.

Abstract

Based on data from the National Transportation Safety Committee, traffic accidents involving trucks in East Kalimantan resulted in four fatalities, one serious injury, and 29 minor injuries. This study aims to determine the relationship between working hours, rest periods, and personality dimensions through the Big Five Personality theory with the accident history of inter-provincial truck drivers. The study uses an analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The research subjects are truck drivers selected using purposive sampling techniques, with a sample size of 30 for the Big Five Personality measurements and 15 truck units for vibration measurements. This is a quantitative study. The results show that there is no significant relationship between respondent characteristics, such as age, education, work duration, and length of service, and the history of work accidents. Vibration measurements indicate that 12 out of 15 truck units operated by drivers have vibration levels above the threshold limit value (TLV), which is 0.8660 during an 8-hour exposure period.

Abstract

Ergonomic problems, particularly postural disorders resulting from prolonged sitting, are prevalent among workers involved in administrative tasks, computer operations, and public communication activities. Extended sitting durations can cause physical fatigue, impaired blood circulation, and discomfort in the lower back and legs, which may eventually lead to decreased work efficiency and musculoskeletal complaints. This study aims to develop an ergonomic footrest equipped with adjustable features based on users’ anthropometric dimensions to improve comfort and prevent postural strain. Data were collected from 60 office workers, including measurements of sitting height, lower leg length, foot width, and other dimensions related to foot positioning while seated, using standard anthropometric instruments such as an anthropometer, measuring tape, and caliper. Data adequacy and uniformity tests were performed to ensure reliability and consistency, and percentile analysis was applied as a basis for design parameters. The final design resulted in a footrest height of 51.85 cm derived from sitting popliteal height, accommodating 95% of users for optimal posture; a width of 30 cm based on sitting popliteal width; and a length of 50.99 cm based on foot length, ensuring full foot support. The proposed ergonomic footrest design is expected to minimize the risk of postural disorders, enhance user comfort, and support overall workplace health and productivity.

Abstract

Hidroponik merupakan teknik penanaman tanaman yang tidak membutuhkan media tanah dan halaman yang luas, melainkan hanya menggunakan larutan bernutrisi yang diletakkan di dalam pipa). Wisata Bekantan merupakan hasil swadaya dari masyarakat setempat dalam melestarikan tanaman mangrove dan ekosistem bekantan serta sebagai tempat budidaya tanaman hidroponik. Tujuan pengabdian Masyarakat yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan hidroponik di tempat wisata ini terabaikan akibat kurangnya perawatan. Selain itu, kurangnya tempat sampah yang memadai dan wastafel cuci tangan bagi pengunjung, sehingga taman wisata ini terlihat kurang bersih. Hasil dari kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini diantaranya penambahan fasilitas tempat sampah berjumlah 9 buah yang diletakkan di tiga titik keramaian Bekantan, pembuatan wastafel cuci tangan otomatis dengan sensor IR (infrared), serta pemanfaatan hidroponik oleh masyarakat setempat untuk membudidayakan tanaman sayur-sayuran maupun menjadi wadah edukasi penanaman hidroponik bagi para pengunjung wisata Bekantan.
