Abstract

Based on data from the Ministry of Manpower (MoM) in 2023, the number of workplace accidents in Indonesia was recorded at 370,747 cases. The Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) program is an approach that focuses on human behavior and social relationships in the workplace. Its goal is to reduce the risk of accidents and work-related injuries by increasing awareness, involvement, and responsibility of employees towards their own safety and the safety of their colleagues. The research was conducted using a quantitative cross-sectional research method. Data collected provide an overview of the relationship between variables. A cross-sectional research design was used to collect data on the Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) program, the level of compliance with work safety behaviors, and work safety behaviors at PT. Angkasa Pura Logistics at a specific time. Data were collected using a questionnaire filled out by respondents. The variation in compliance level scores can be explained by 22.5% of the variation in BBS program scores, while the remaining 77.5% is explained by variation in other variables outside the research model. The variation in employee work safety behavior scores can be explained by 66.4% of the variation in BBS program scores and compliance level, while the remaining 33.6% is explained by variation in other variables outside the research model. There is a significant and meaningful relationship between the BBS program and compliance level. There is a significant and meaningful relationship between the BBS program and work safety behavior. There is a significant and meaningful relationship between compliance level and work safety behavior. There is a direct relationship between the BBS program and workplace safety behavior. Therefore, the Compliance Level intervening variable does not mediate the relationship between the BBS Program and Work Safety Behavior.

Abstract

Tofu is a characteristic of Indonesian food, so it is not uncommon if this tofu food is found in Balikpapan City. Tofu is commonly produced in small and medium scale industries that are commonly found in the city of Balikpapan. The technology used in the tofu production process is still very simple, still uses human labor, and the process is less than optimal. The tofu production process begins with the washing, grinding, and pressing processes carried out by humans. This study aims to analyze the influence of the work environment and worker identity on Behavior Based Safety in the SIS tofu making industry. The population in this study is workers in SIKS somber totaling 32 workers from 14 home tofu production sites as for how to collect samples by direct observation and interviews with workers (response variables), namely unsafe behavior in the form of not wearing proper clothes while working (Y), and independent variables (predictors), namely a safe workplace environment (x1), Air Ventilation Conditions (X2) , Layout Conditions (X3), Working Duration (X4) Denoted 1 if > have worked for 3 months and 0 if < 3 months, worker status (X5), use of PPE in the form of boots (x6), educational status (x7) This study uses binary logistic regression analysis ?(x), where the workplace environment and workplace layout have the opportunity to have a significant influence on the unsafe behavior of workers (not wearing proper clothing) production workers know SIKS Somber.

Abstract

The industrial sector in Indonesia plays a vital role in driving economic growth; however, it frequently encounters major challenges related to occupational health and safety. The rising number of workplace accidents suggests that risk control mechanisms in many organizations remain inadequate. To address this, the adoption of robust and internationally recognized risk management systems such as ISO 45001 is critical for reducing incidents and promoting a safer working environment. A structured methodology like HIRADC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Determining Control) serves as an effective tool for identifying potential hazards, evaluating associated risks, and implementing suitable control measures to maintain workplace safety. In this regard, PT XYZ has adopted an integrated risk management framework, which has demonstrated effectiveness in lowering accident rates by applying control measures that align with global safety standards. Nevertheless, it is imperative to continuously review and enhance this system to ensure the ongoing protection and well-being of all workers.

Abstract

Based on data from the National Transportation Safety Committee, traffic accidents involving trucks in East Kalimantan resulted in four fatalities, one serious injury, and 29 minor injuries. This study aims to determine the relationship between working hours, rest periods, and personality dimensions through the Big Five Personality theory with the accident history of inter-provincial truck drivers. The study uses an analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The research subjects are truck drivers selected using purposive sampling techniques, with a sample size of 30 for the Big Five Personality measurements and 15 truck units for vibration measurements. This is a quantitative study. The results show that there is no significant relationship between respondent characteristics, such as age, education, work duration, and length of service, and the history of work accidents. Vibration measurements indicate that 12 out of 15 truck units operated by drivers have vibration levels above the threshold limit value (TLV), which is 0.8660 during an 8-hour exposure period.
