Abstract

Pelatihan membaca kritis dalam upaya menentukan berita hoaks atau tidak di media sosial bertujuan untuk meningkatkan berpikir kritis siswa SMP Methodist Pematang Siantar dalam membaca suatu berita di media sosial. Siswa diberikan artikel berita dari media sosial yang beragam topiknya, dan diminta untuk menilai apakah artikel tersebut hoaks atau tidak. Dalam pengabdian ini, siswa diberikan sebuah contoh berita hoaks dari sosial media. Setelah membaca teks berita siswa diminta untuk memahami berita hoaks tersebut dan meluangkan pertanyaan 5W + 1H yang ada di pikirannya mengenai berita hoaks itu. Kemudian, siswa diminta untuk mengamati atau mengidentifikasi situs berita tersebut, dengan mencari berita tersebut di situs yang terpercaya contohnya Kompas.com , Detik.com dan lainnya. Lalu siswa diminta untuk memeriksa foto berita tersebut melalui google image dan waktu tayangnya. Setelah mencari kebenaran dari berita tersebut siswa dapat membuat kesimpulannya dan menceritakan kembali berita hoaks tersebut dengan bahasa mereka sendiri.Pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan membaca kritis dapat menjadi salah satu upaya yang efektif dalam mengatasi penyebaran berita hoaks di media sosial. Dengan adanya pengabdian ini siswa dapat berpikir secara kritis terhadap suatu informasi yang diperoleh. Pelatihan seperti ini dapat diberikan di sekolah-sekolah sebagai bagian dari kurikulum pendidikan untuk membantu siswa mengembangkan kemampuan kritis dan menilai kebenaran informasi yang mereka temukan di media sosial dan dimanapun.

Abstract

Advances in information technology have had a significant impact in various sectors, including the health sector. Various health institutions such as hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and health centers have utilized technology in improving the efficiency of accessibility services to health data. In improving service effectiveness, a pharmacy must have information technology to help manage existing drug data. Currently, the management information system at Mita Pharma Pharmacy is still carried out by manual recording into a book, resulting in inaccuracies in recording transactions and difficulties in monitoring drug stocks. Seeing these problems, a website-based pharmacy management information system is needed with the aim of simplifying the process of recording drug data, inputting drug sales, purchasing drugs and also making reports on pharmacies using the waterfall method. This system is designed using the PHP programming language. From the results of black box testing that has been carried out on the web-based pharmacy management information system, it is found that the system can overcome the problems faced as mentioned above, therefore it can be concluded that the designed system can provide convenience for the admin and pharmacy owner to manage all pharmacy operations as well as improving the accuracy of information regarding real time drug monitoring and assisting pharmacy management in making better decisions.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the Personal Learning Environment (PLE) Approach on English Speaking Ability. The concept of the Personal learning environments (PLE) approach will make learning individuals become a subject. Each person is both a teacher and a student who can decide the direction of the learning. The method used in this research was an experimental method using two class groups. The research instrument used was a written test. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the average score for English speaking skills in the control class is 53.7. Furthermore, in testing the t test hypothesis, a sig of 0.00 was obtained. Based on the conclusion, if the sig (2-tailed) value is <0.05, then there is a significant difference. Meanwhile, the average value of English speaking skills for the experimental class is 80.1. So, it can be concluded that there is an influence.

Abstract

The Green Education model emphasizes contextual learning with real-world environmental issues, encourages collaboration, and encourages students to think critically in solving environmental problems such as pollution, waste, and energy use. This study aims to determine the conceptual and procedural feasibility according to material and media experts, teacher assessments, and student responses to the interactive learning website developed using the Green Education model for green chemistry. This research is a developmental study using the Lee & Owens model. Data collection methods used questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis techniques used were qualitative data analysis based on comments and suggestions, and quantitative data analysis based on average response scores and percentages. The results of this study demonstrated feasibility based on a Likert scale, with a score of 4.5 (very feasible) from material experts, 4.57 (very feasible) from media experts, 4.5 (very feasible) from teachers, and 87.07% (very feasible) from student responses. Based on the development and research results, it can be concluded that the interactive learning website using the Green Education model for green chemistry is conceptually and procedurally feasible as a teaching medium for chemistry learning.

Abstract

Di era digital, tantangan kepemimpinan tidak lagi terbatas pada kemampuan mengelola organisasi secara konvensional, tetapi juga mencakup kemampuan komunikasi digital, pengambilan keputusan berbasis informasi, kolaborasi daring, serta literasi etika dan keamanan digital. Guru sebagai role model kepemimpinan pendidikan dituntut untuk memiliki soft skills seperti komunikasi efektif, empati, manajemen konflik, dan kemampuan adaptif terhadap teknologi. Sementara itu, pengurus OSIS sebagai calon pemimpin muda perlu dibekali keterampilan kepemimpinan partisipatif, kerja tim, dan pemanfaatan media digital secara positif dan bertanggung jawab. Sebagai bentuk kepedulian dalam membangun model kepemimpinan yang memiliki integritas, maka tujuan pengabdian msyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kapasitas kepemimpinan dan soft skills guru serta pengurus OSIS SMK agar mampu berperan secara efektif, adaptif, dan beretika dalam lingkungan pendidikan di era digital. Metode yang digunakan pelatihan ini berupa kegiatan ceramah, sesi tanya- jawab, diskusi studi kasus, dengan menjelaskan konsep dasar kepemimpinan visioner, gaya kepemimpinan partisipatif, kepemimpinan dalam perubahan organisasi dan bagaimana melakukan pengambilan keputusan dengan tepat. Setelah pelatihan ini, diharapkan para pengurus OSIS akan memiliki dan mendemonstrasikan ketrampilan perilaku kepemimpinan yang siap menjalani tantangan serta dapat menginspirasi siswa di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

Students' low critical thinking skills are caused by one-way learning, where students only receive material and a lack of variety in the application of learning models, especially those that encourage critical thinking. This study aims to determine the effect of the Genre-Based Approach learning model on improving the thinking skills of AMIK Parbina Nusantara students in English courses. This research method was pre-experimental, using only the experimental group without a control group. The research design used a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data collection techniques used were tests and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistical analysis, normality tests, t-tests, and hypothesis testing. The results showed a significant effect of the application of the Genre-Based Approach learning model on students' critical thinking skills. The results of the research that has been conducted obtained the results of the initial ability or pretest of students an average of 42.33 and after being given treatment using the Genre Based Approach learning model, the average result was 72.33. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means there is a significant influence between the Genre Based Approach learning model and students' thinking abilities in English lectures.
