Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di tengah pandemi corona virus disease-19 (COVID-19) sepatutnya di lakukan secara luas, mengingat masih banyak masyarakat yang kurang mematuhi protokol kesehatan dalam rangka mencegah penyebaran COVID-19. Pemerintah Indonesia telah menetapkan langkah-langkah dan upaya pencegahan pandemi COVID-19, salah satunya adalah dengan mensosialisasikan gerakan memakai masker terutama jika berada di tempat umum. Salah satu tempat umum yang berpotensi dalam penyebaran COVID 19 ini adalah pasar dimana di pasar berkumpul masyarakat dari latar belakang yang berbeda-beda dengan kondisi kesehatan yang kita belum ketahui secara pasti. Pasar merupakan tempat untuk melakukan transaksi jual beli dalam memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya baik kebutuhan primer, sekunder dan tersier. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan sosialisasi untuk pencegahan dengan menggunakan masker bagi pedagang maupun pembeli yang melakukan transaksi jual beli tersebut. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk mencegah dan memutus mata rantai penularan COVID-19 di Pasar Desa Durin Tonggal. Pengabdian pada Masyarakat dilaksanakan dalam bentuk penyuluhan penggunaan masker sekaligus membagikan masker secara gratis kepada pedagang pasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah edukasi kepada pedagang pasar dengan menghimbau pentingnya menggunakan masker. Setelah diberikan edukasi dan pembagian masker, pedagang sudah mulai sadar pentingnya penggunaan masker di Pasar

Abstract

This study aimed to determine student learning outcomes using the Synectic learning model and learning outcomes using conventional learning models at YAPIM Taruna Dolok Masihul Private High School. The population was all students of class XII SMA which consisted of 2 classes. Samples were taken randomly from 2 classes consisting of the experimental class and the control class. The data observed were chemistry students' learning outcomes, which were collected through a multiple choice test of 20 questions consisting of 5 answer options, which had been tested for validity, reliability, difficulty level and test differentiation. The data obtained were analyzed using the T test, which previously tested the normality and homogeneity of the data. The learning outcomes of the experimental class mean pre-test (27.81 ± 7.21) and post-test mean (76.88 ± 5.70) with an increase in learning outcomes Gain by 68%, while the learning outcomes of the control class average pre-test (22.03 ± 6.70) and the average post-test (70.47 ± 6.00) with an increase in learning outcomes gain by 62%. Hypothesis testing is carried out at the significance level α = 0.05 using one-sided t-test, namely the right side where tcount> ttable (3.05> 1.667139), which means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. By looking at the results of these studies it can be concluded that the chemistry learning outcomes of students who were treated through the application of the Synectic learning model are higher than using conventional teaching.

Abstract

To improve the quality of education in facing the future, it is necessary to change the learning paradigm through shifting the procedures for organizing educational and learning activities. Moreover, the spread of the virus in Indonesia which was dangerous and had previously been felt by the whole world before 2020, namely the Corona Virus Diseased 2019 or known as COVID-19 made the learning process hampered. These conditions make the learning system that was originally face-to-face in class must be adapted to learning at home. This study aims to implement a two-way communication-oriented Blended Learning model in the new normal era of covid 2019. However, this learning model is adjusted to the conditions in the school area where the research is carried out. The trial was conducted on 36 students of class XI SMA Yapim Taruna Dolok Masihul. Student learning outcomes were measured using various instruments. Assessment of student knowledge is carried out using multiple-choice tests; assessment of student skills is measured using portfolio assessment, while attitude assessment is measured using questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Blended Learning learning model is able to improve student learning and learning outcomes. This can be seen from the learning activities of students in the class whose data was taken based on a questionnaire in the first cycle in the good category of 58.33% and in the second cycle it increased to 63.89% in the good category and 16.67% in the very good category. The increase in student learning activities was followed by an increase in student mastery of learning as shown in the posttest results at the end of the cycle. In the first cycle, the number of students who scored 70 was 25 students or 69.44%. In the second cycle, there was an increase of 24.45%, namely 88.89% or as many as 32 students who had obtained a score of 70.

Abstract

The research with titled "Antioxidant activity test of ethyl acetate total extract from Batak leeks (Allium. chinense G. Don)" had been done. For the antioxidant activity test using UV Visible Spectrophotometer with 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) as a scavenging agent obtained IC50 ethyl acetate extract total batak leeks amounted to 52.39% mg / L which stated that the extract was strong antioxidant.Keywords:Activities; antioxidants; Batak leeks

Abstract

Technology is one of the suggestions in developing students' potential in finding learning resources outside the classroom. Therefore, Blended Learning combines the two things. In facing the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, a learning system is needed that can form creative, innovative, and competitive students. One of these things can be achieved by optimizing technology as an educational tool.  This study aims to apply technological advances in education through the Blended Learning model using LMS and increase student activity in learning. This research method uses classroom action research (PTK) which consists of two cycles and each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instrument used is a test of learning outcomes and student activity observation sheets. The results of data analysis from student learning outcomes showed an increase in learning outcomes in each cycle. It is shown by the average value of N-gain in the first cycle of 54.86% while the second cycle is 70.22%. In the assessment of the results of observing student activities during learning in cycle I and cycle II, it showed an increase in an activity wherein cycle I students was very active 8% and in cycle II it became 48%. The results of this study can effectively improve learning outcomes and increase student learning activities.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memperkokoh dan mendukung teori yang sudah ada terkait dengan model pembelajaran blended learning dalam rangka peningkatan keaktifan dan hasil belajar Kimia. Sementara manfaat penelitian ini memberikan pengalaman belajar yang menarik melalui pembelajaran blended learning karena siswa dilibatkan secara langsung dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, sehingga dapat meningkatkan keefektifan belajar kimia siswa pada masa pandemic Covid-19. Penelitian ini Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari 2 siklus, dimana tiap siklus terdiri dari empat kegiatan, yaitu: perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Kegiatan pembelajaran dengan strategi pembelajaran Blended Learning ini akan berlanjut ke siklus berikutnya apabila indikator keberhasilan belum tercapai. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIPA SMA Swasta Yapim Taruna Dolok Masihul sebanyak 30 siswa. Hasil penelitian pada efektifitas model pembelajaran Blended Learning yang dilakukan secara optimal yang dilakukan pada masa pandemic Covid-19 ini dapat dilihat dari hasil observasi aktivitas belajar siswa dan hasil belajar siswa.  Pada jumlah siswa yang berada pada kategori aktif sebanyak 50% dan yang sangat aktif 7,692 %, sehingga jumlah aktifitas siswa sebesar 57,692%. Pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan siswa yang berada pada kategori aktif sebanyak 45,154 % dan yang siswa yang sangat aktif mengalami peningktan menjadi 38,463 %. Hasil belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dengan pencapaian nilai KKM pada siklus 1 sebeser 63,18 dan pada siklus 2 naik  sebesar 77,21%.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPelatihan pembuatan sabun cuci piring di kelurahan Nusa Harapan Kecamatan Siantar Kabupaten Simalungun telah dilakukan. Adapun tujuan kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat di Kelurahan Nusa Harapan Kecamatan Siantar tentang bagaimana cara membuat sabun cuci piring sendiri dengan cara yang sederhana, cepat dan bermanfaat sehingga masyarakat dapat menerapkan dalam hidup sehari-hari untuk menghemat anggaran rumah tangga. Selain untuk pemakaian sehari-hari, dapat pula untuk menambah pendapatan secara ekonomis. Kata Kunci: Sabun cair, Cuci piring, Pelatihan  ABSTRACT Dishwashing soap training in Nusa Harapan Village, Siantar Subdistrict, Simalungun District was conducted. Abstract

PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia Perdagangan unit is one of the banks operating among the many banks in the Perdagangan area. The higher level of competition between banks (local competition) to win customers in the Perdagangan region occurs with other banks that are increasingly appearing to compete for markets / customers. This research was conducted to determine how much influence the quality of service on customer satisfaction BRI Perdagangan unit bank. This research uses descriptive research type with quantitative approach. The research method used by the author uses a questionnaire with a sample of 70 people where the respondent is a customer of Bank Rakyat Indonesia Perdagangan unit. Based on the t-test (Partial Significant Test), service quality characteristics have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction of the BRI Bank Perdagangan unit. The majority of respondents were satisfied with the services provided by the BRI Bank Perdagangan Unit through the answers they gave to the questionnaire that had been distributed.

Abstract

Mastery of English is a must and the demands of the times because English is an international language. Therefore, college students are expected to be able to use digital media such as social media Twitter as a means of accessing information in increasing motivation and knowledge in English. So far, college students only use the Twitter application as a lifestyle. In fact, Twitter can be used as a learning resource that can increase college students' learning motivation and English skills because Twitter has features that are more relaxed and more interesting. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Twitter as a literacy medium in improving college students' reading and writing skills. This research is a descriptive analysis research using a quantitative approach. This study uses an experimental method without a comparison class because all college students were taught using the Twitter application. In this study there were 20 college students as the sample. The results showed that the use of Twitter can improve college students' reading and writing skills. In reading skill, the average score of pre-test was 68 and post-test was 85.5. The average score of writing skill in the pre-test was 56.5 and the post-test score was 78. It can be concluded that there was an increase in the college students' reading and writing skill test scores.

Abstract

Sampah merupakan masalah serius dan belum termanfaatkan secara maksimal. Oleh karena itu perlu dicarikan solusi agar sampah organik dapat diminimalisir serta menjadi lebih bernilai guna. Salah satu upaya yang bisa diterapkan adalah dengan biokonversi menggunakan Maggot (Black Soldier Fly/BSF). Larva BSF dengan kemampuannya sebagai pendegradasi sampah organik dimanfaatkan untuk mengkonversi materi organik sehingga memiliki potensi ekonomi. Maggot (Hermetiaillucens Linnaeus) merupakan larva lalat black soldier yang memiliki tekstur kenyal, berprotein tinggi serta memiliki kemampuan untuk mengeluarkan enzim alami yang membantu meningkatkan sistem pencernaan ikan. Mulai dari maggot dewasa hingga menghasilkan telur, kemudian larvanya seperti pupa digunakan untuk bahan pakan sumber protein. Dari keberlangsungan kegiatan Kedaireka ini yang merupakan hasil kerjasama antara perguruan tinggi dengan desa Pagar Merbau III menghasilkan produksi mandiri di masyarakat yaitu Maggot yang dapat meningkatkan penghasilan rumahan bagi masyarakat, memperoleh pengetahuan tentang pengolahan sampah organik dengan baik dan pemanfaatannya. Sebagian warga yang mempunyai ternak yang sebagian besar berupa Lele dan jenis ikan air tawar lainnya, masyarakat Desa Pagar Merbau Tiga sangat antusias dalam pelaksanaan pelatihan dan juga workshop ini ditambah dengan kegiatan penyaluran hasil nantinya yaitu pengelolaan e-commerce.
