Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menjelaskan Pemahaman Keberagamaan dan moderasi beragama, mahasiswa Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri (PTKIN). Secara spesifik, penelitian ini berupaya menguji apakah variabel Pemahaman Keberagamaan dan karakteristik sosial, yakni jenis kelamin dan organisasi kemahasiswaan berpengaruh terhadap variabel moderasi beragama di kalangan mahasiswa PTKIN. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran tetapi yang utama adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei terhadap mahasiswa PTKIN (N=578) dengan teknik sampling sistematis berjenjang, yang dilengkapi dengan FGD terbatas. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkan melalui google form. Data yang terkumpul diolah dan dianalisis melalui analisis regresi. Berdasarkan analisis data ditemukan bahwa tingkat moderasi beragama pada Mahasiswa PTKIN cenderung sedang. Abstract

Pemahaman Santri mengenai toleransi beragama dan upaya Pondok Pesantren Babul Khaer dalam menanamkan nilai toleransi kepada Santri. Artikel ini menggunakan penelitian lapangan (field research) yang menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dan menggunakan pendekatan sosiologis dan teologis. Santri memiliki perspektif yang berbeda tentang toleransi karena keanekaragaman pemikiran mereka, kemampuan mereka untuk menelaah, berbagai pengalaman keagamaan, dan sumber pendidikan lainnya. Upaya Pondok Pesantren untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang toleransi beragama kepada santri, yaitu: a)Penanaman nilai toleransi melalui pelajaran/kurikulum; b) Penanaman nilai toleransi melalui kegiatan ekstrakulikuler; c) Penanaman nilai toleransi dalam keseharian. pondok pesantren akan menjadi tempat dimana nilai-nilai toleransi diterapkan, dengan menyediakan kegiatan dan pelajaran yang bersifat multireligius, secara konsisten memberikan wadah pertemuan antar agama, kultur, dan budaya yang lebih luas, dan secara aktif memberikan pengalaman keagamaan dan pengawalan kepada santri melalui penyediaan alat dan literatur yang lebih baik

Abstract

This article investigates how Generation Z Muslims view Christians, with the aim of preventing religious conflict in Indonesia's diverse society. Generation Z, who live in a digital and multicultural era, have broad access to information and religious social interactions that influence their views on diversity. This article uses a qualitative approach and in-depth interviews, and reveals that most Generation Z Muslims show positive attitudes towards Christians, as seen in the values of brotherhood, tolerance, and religious moderation. Christians are seen as an equal segment of Indonesian society, who uphold human values and do not interfere with the religious practices of Muslims. These values, which are rooted in Islamic teachings such as Surah Al-Kafirun verse 6, play an important role in preventing religious conflict. Generation Z Muslims have significant potential to act as agents of peace and promote inclusive community development. Therefore, interfaith education and the strengthening of multicultural values in higher education need to be improved.

Abstract

This research aimed to empirically examine public perceptions toward the use of niqab among female students at Islamic higher education institutions, as well as to explore the social responses, stigma, and coping strategies experienced by niqab-wearing students. The study focused on identifying the motivations underlying the decision to wear the niqab, community attitudes toward this practice, and its psychological and social implications. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews and observations involving female students who wear niqab at the State Islamic Higher Education Institution (PTKIN) in Parepare City, South Sulawesi. The informants were selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data were analyzed inductively by organizing the findings into thematic categories related to motivation, social perception, stigma, and individual responses. The results indicate that the decision to wear the niqab is influenced by various factors, including religious commitment, personal comfort, environmental influence, religious understanding, and personal life experiences. Community responses toward niqab-wearing students vary, ranging from acceptance and neutrality to negative stigma and discrimination, which are often associated with assumptions of radicalism, social exclusivity, and perceived limitations in social and professional life. Despite these challenges, the female students demonstrated adaptive coping strategies, such as maintaining positive attitudes, strengthening religious commitment, engaging in social interactions, and exemplifying moral conduct as efforts to counter negative perceptions and gradually build social acceptance.
