Abstract

Abstract

Fixed chart fishing focuses on utilization of light aids for attract fish. Underwater submersible light ((Lacuda) LED is one of the assistive technologies that are environmentally friendly, be the subject of study in determining the characteristics of the movement or fish swimming groupings based on the operating time of the fishing gear and can be detected by hydroacoustic devices. The research method used is descriptive exploratory method by participating in fishing operations in the waters of Laikang Bay from April to September 2020. The results of the observations made at 18:00-05:00 Wita every trip shows that fish swimming activity after midnight tends to be higher than before midnight and at midnight. Based on the hydroacoustic detection of fish swimming activity in the form of solitary, medium and large groups at an average depth of 2-6 meters at 03:00-05:00 Wita. The amount of catch in hauling I is 138,4 Kg while hauling II is 157,3 Kg. The type of catch is small pelagic fish and demersal fish.

Abstract

Plankton can be grouped into two, namely phytoplankton and zooplankton. The phytoplankton group is autotrophic so that it acts as a primary producer in the waters. The research location is in Tompobulu Village, Maros Regency. Data collection was taken in June 2024. The temperature at the station based on the measurement results at the station is 28°C, pH value 7.4, total suspended solids value (TSS) 51 mg/l, do (Dissolved oxygen) value 4 mg/l. The data calculated is the index of diversity, uniformity and dominance. Overall findings of this study showed: Diversity index 1,42, uniformity 0,34 and dominance index 0,38 . Plankton sampling stations show that there are 12 species of plankton, namely: Amphora sp, Cocconeis sp, Coscinodiscus sp., Cymbella sp., Gyrosigma sp., Licmophora sp., Navicula sp., Pediastrum sp., Pinnularia sp., Surirella sp. Synedra sp.1, Synedra sp.2. It can be seen from the data above that the highest cell/liter value with a value of 1,130 is Navicula sp. The lowest value of 10 cells/liter is 4 species, namely: Pediastrum sp, Amphora sp, Coscinodiscus sp and Licmophora sp. The conclusion of the study is that the level of plankton diversity in the Tompobulu river is classified as moderate with a value of 1.42, the most abundant species is Navicula sp with a total of 1130 cells/liter. The water condition that affects and does not meet the quality standards is TSS. This parameter is also what affects the condition of the plankton.

Abstract

Coastal water ecosystems in general have experienced damage as a result of fishing that is not environmentally friendly. This unfriendly fishing causes the fish's feeding grounds to be damaged so that fishing activities in coastal areas need to involve fishing aids to collect fish. The fishing aids implemented are in accordance with the fishing objectives to be achieved. The implementation of fishing aids aims to attract attention and bring fish to the area where the attractor is installed, making it easier to catch. One of the fishing aids used is Biological Fish Aggregating Devices (Bio-FADs Tree) or live FADs equipped with Kappaphycus alvarezii seaweed which acts as an attractor to attract fish so they can be easily caught. This service is carried out in Mamuju waters for the purpose of catching demersal fish. The service is carried out using trap fishing equipment. The results of the service showed that the catches obtained were Pink ear emperor (Lethrinus lentjan), Redbelly yellowtail fusilier (Caesio cuning), Streaked spinefoot (Siganus javus), batik Vermiculated spinefoot (Siganus vermiculatus) and Orange-spotted spinefoot (Siganus gutattus), White-spotted spinefoot (Siganus canaliculatus), and Surf parrotfish (Scarus rivulatus). All of the catches are fish of important economic value

Abstract

Makassar Newport Port is one of the National Strategic Projects to facilitate the flow of goods logistics. This project is called fishermen disrupt fishing routes and traditional boat income <3 GT. This study aims to analyze public perceptions of the social and economic impacts of Newport's development. held from January to April 2021 in Tallo Makassar District. using qualitative methods through in-depth interviews and observations. respondents in this study as many as 60 people who make a living as fishermen. The determination of informants is done by a snowball method. Measurement of the degree of perception is measured by the Likert scale method. The results of the study indicate that the positive value of social impact provides security from crime, while the negative value of community interaction is less harmonious and clean from the polluted environment. The positive economic impact is that the community gets a side job as an additional livelihood. the negative value is that the income from fishermen's catches decreases and the operational costs that must be spent are greater to carry out fishing activities.
