Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the non-equivalence translation at the word level, including translation strategy to solve the non-equivalence translation result from Mandarin to Indonesian in the Highschool/MA Mandarin textbook published Depdikbud. This research used the qualitative research method. This research proves 24 non-equivalence translation data from the source language (Mandarin) to the target language (Indonesian) at the word level. Non-equivalencies in the translation from Mandarin to Indonesian are caused by the misunderstanding word, phrases, or expressions in the source language. The translator can use the strategy to get the equivalent translation at the word level primarily by using the more familiar word and closer to the level from the source language (Mandarin) and using paraphrase.

Abstract

Abstract The choice of the topic of “Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat” (PkM) is based on the current situation which is being hit by the covid-19 global pandemic. PkM programs that are truly related and touch directly to the target audience or the community as partners cannot be carried out. The partners of this activity are “Ibu-ibu PKK” RW 03 Pisangan Timur Pulo Gadung, East Jakarta. Therefore, this PkM program prioritizes the virtual socialization of the use of organic waste which is an environmentally friendly household cleaning material, conceptualizing eco-enzyme, including disinfectants, antiseptics, and hand sanitizers. Eco enzyme is a liquid from the results of fermentation of organic residues in the form of fruit and/or vegetables, which are light brown, sometimes rather dark, and have a distinctive aroma of fermentation results. This eco enzyme can be used for a variety of things, such as household cleaners, soaps, shampoos, facial and body treatments, fertilizers, even as environmentally friendly disinfectants. This activity resulted in a simple module that could serve as a guidebook for further activities, namely training in the process of making eco-enzyme.

Abstract

Abstract

Batam City, which is part of the Riau Islands Province, serves as a connecting hub between Indonesia and Singapore. Batam is strategically located in a border area between countries, neighboring one of the world's business centers, Singapore. Therefore, maritime transportation plays a crucial role in a maritime nation like Indonesia. The high intensity of transportation between Batam and Singapore indicates that both cities are tourist destinations. Residents of both Batam and Singapore view these cities as tourist destinations. This study focuses on religious tourism. The high intensity of maritime transportation is particularly evident during weekends and holiday seasons, as many residents of both cities visit each other's locations, which shows the high intensity of social mobilization. This study aims to highlight maritime aspects and their relationship with society through the concept of transnationalism within the framework of tourism, particularly religious tourism. With globalization and the need to expand networks, maritime transportation is essential to support transnational processes. For this reason, maritime safety is vital, as it significantly influences efforts toward sustainable development, especially in maritime transportation activities that support tourism.
